I have created a form that a user fills out and the answers they give are added to a email as text. This works great but now the client wants the text answers in a PDF not just as text in an email. My question is, is there a way to create a PDF from the answers on a form from within the Flash program. The answers are saved in variables then added as text to the email.

Normally,it show its contents(the questions),but someday,maybe a VIP come to visit the page,so we want to replace the whole page with a welcome screen.
Of course we can replace the [URL] (suppose it is the index page) with the welcome text(welcome xxx to our site...) in the server side.
However this is not convenient,and the text can not be full screened.
So I thought the flash,I can add a controller button at the page,when required,I click this button,and set the welcome words,then a flash will start to play with the sepcified words in a full screen model. It would be better if the flash can show the text with a Animation.
I have never did the flash development,so I want to know if this is possible?
BTW,can all the clients change to flash with juse one click?
I mean I click the controller button,then all the client who is visit this page should see the contents replaced by the flash at the same time.

I'd like for users to be able to simply click a button on my page, instead of having to need to manually take a screenshot of the entire page and then crop the image to show only the SWF element.I found a Jquery method, although I am unsure if it could work with SWF files. It basically captures an area of an Image element on the page and allows you to save that as a separate image. What I would need however, is to capture the SWF as the image instead. This gives me so much more to offer clients as they can now update the text fields in Flash pages I create. I now need to know the following: I used Arial font for a dynamic text field, will someone who decides to edit the text in the xml file later on always see the new text in Arial on the site? In other words as long as I used Arial in the .fla the font used can only be changed in the .fla correct?

The only thing I cannot figure out is how to attach the Close button which would come at the top right. AS3 is not allowing me to attach any behaviour to the button, neither does it allow me to put actionscript there. I am in dire straits.
I have an iframe to a page where a Flash swf file is running; does anybody have an idea how to make it transparent so that my drop-down menu should be shown perfectly? Kindly be informed I can't edit the source page (add param = wmode, value = transparent to the Flash object), only if there is any chance to make it possible in iframe or some JavaScript on my page, I have already tried allowtransparency="true" and background-color="transparent".
View 4 RepliesI need to create a login page in my flash site that relates to information input to a mysql database. after the submit their information we want to send them a link to a differnt flash page with a login screen they will use their first name and a password (already in our database) to gain access to this "new" page. on that page there will be a welcome message that says "Welcome, User First Name" so I guess i have two questions
1: how do i set up a login page?

I have a client that is wanting me to create a flash website in which they can add products pages (product info, images, etc.) themselves after the website is completed. I will setup up the first few products then they will do the rest. Would I wanted to go with dynamic text and empty movie clips loading the images? If so how could I have this create a duplicate page that refers to the new text and image?
View 3 RepliesI am trying to create a page transition that will play a movieCLip transition into a page. and then it stops then when another button is pressed, it will play that transition out while loading the appropriate one. In the attached FLA, if you click on the red button first, the blue transition plays,

it works correctly/ Playing out of the blue Transition and into the Red transition. However if I click it again it does the opposite, and just keep alternating.
If I add the
_root.transitionClip2.play("out");
to the first button then, nothing works right. I will eventually have more buttons, and may need to use a variable to control which "out" transitions is played, but how do I get the buttons to do this?I just want it to exit the current movie clip and play the "in" section of the desired clip.
I have a master page and a child page and have placed the javascript code inside the child page for flash movie.
The problem is the movie seems working when there is a alert on, without at least one alert msg, the code does not work, I am sure you people can solve, I can see that the following code works well in both Mozilla and IE, but only if the alert is ON, if I put it off, then the code does not work. Can anybody tell me what is the workaround :

i'm trying to build a flash site and ran into a problem... i have a gallery page with a bunch of page numbers at the top. when you click on one, a movieclip loads of some images coming in.so the problem i'm having is that i made a little animation for when you roll the mouse over the page number (they scale up when the mouse is over, scale back when the cursor moves away)... what it's doing is when you roll over, it goes to a certain frame in the timeline and plays that animation.that's all working cool, but i need it to not do that once it's clicked on. so basically when you actually click on a page number, the over script should stop until you go to another page... here's the code i've written,

Problems:
I don't know how to link the text to the appropriate website when they are verified. EX: "You may enter" linking to the site. "You are not of age" linking to disney.com or something.
Also, when there are no digits entered, it verifies the user of age.

I need to create an Events page that the is dynamic so the client could add events and pictures later on. This is the how the page looks like: [url]... The function that he needs is to be able to add text in the scroll portion on the left side, then when you click on the heading of the text it opens images on the right side and you could flip thru them using the arrows below them with a page number on top. All this needs to happen outside flash since he wont know where to go.
I have no clue how to start this or what to do! I know it will need to load pages dynamically and use xml for the images navigation. I'm not sure whats the best way to go about that, plus how do you make the heading link to the images on the right side.
I want to create a comments page kind of like myspace i guess, but i want any use to be able to input a comment onto this page n i want it to export to an XML file where it can be edited...

When I first used flash and dreamweaver I had done it, but honestly now I completely forgot and can't figure it out. I know I didn't use any action scripts. I simply want to make an Interactive scrap book for the school children so that when they click a button(or even Text) on the Home page, that page turns and plays the corresponding video.
