Create a full page background image slideshow like [URL] using Flash? I'm new to flash and I want to know hoe to create these full screen image slideshows, that start on page load and scale proportionally just like the above two websites, using Flash CS5 AS3.

I'd like for users to be able to simply click a button on my page, instead of having to need to manually take a screenshot of the entire page and then crop the image to show only the SWF element.I found a Jquery method, although I am unsure if it could work with SWF files. It basically captures an area of an Image element on the page and allows you to save that as a separate image. What I would need however, is to capture the SWF as the image instead. Note: I do not have access to the SWF code so I cannot achieve this using Actionscript or anything like that

I have figured out how to create the flash file which will overlay the page, with all elements centered, from here: kirupa forums tutorial.
The only thing I cannot figure out is how to attach the Close button which would come at the top right. AS3 is not allowing me to attach any behaviour to the button, neither does it allow me to put actionscript there. I am in dire straits.
I'm attempting to recreate some flash transition effects with html/ajax. How feasible is it to do a full-page cross-fade?

My question is, in my background i created a movieclip background and inside of that i put the images that i liked to transition one and than comes the other, but this is a lot of time just making the tweenings, it makes no sence having this work, could someone give me a code out there that i could make this background movieclip getting the images from a folder imgbackground from xml? How to create a xml file to the code get this images?

I will setup up the first few products then they will do the rest. Would I wanted to go with dynamic text and empty movie clips loading the images? View 3 RepliesI have a an unobtrusive flash video looping in the background of a website, it is not essential to navigation - it is purely cosmetic.The flash video loops every 30 seconds.As this video is on all pages, it jumps back to the start when a new page is loaded.Is there an actionscript / javascript way to get it to remember the position it got to on the old page so it can start there on the new page?I do know that this can be accomplished by loading the flash movie in a frame as well as by having the subsequent pages load the contents in AJAX but I was hoping not to go down this route.I have seen other people ask the question and allude to the solution but they only posted that they got it to work without saying how.

However, if a user clicks a button that opens an external document, the swf or Flash Projector exe leaves full page mode and appears in the Flash Player. I need to create an image upload app for our company's facebook page. I've been able to successfully create the app on facebook and it pulls from a location on our web server. Right now it's just an index.cfm file with hello world in it.We're having a photo contest and what we need to do is provide a quick form (name, email, phone, photo to upload, and photo description).When a user fills out the form and uploads the image, the image shows on our app with the description and then we are notified that someone has uploaded and image.

Once thats done it doesn't work right.it will open but when you have it fill the full screen it doesn't go all the way to the left. and cuts off the last quarter of the site.If I have it where the screen is only half or collapsed, it will fill the page as necessary.So here is the errors I am getting in Adobe flash.Error opening URL 'file:///C|/Users/April/Documents/300109930/html/data.php?main_page=1'

View 2 RepliesI have implemented chromeless player and so far the necessary controls such as play, pause, change video, mute, unmute all appear to work fine through JavaScript. I now need to send the chromeless player to "Full Screen" mode via JavaScript.
The JavaScript API player includes the full screen button but the chromeless player does NOT; infact; the chromeless player is not supposed to contain ANY button. I therefore need to set full screen mode via JavaScript but could not find any documented method for this.

I am trying to trigger flash to go full page with a button in which I have added this code:

But it isn't working. The idea is if I press the button I go full page and if I press another I'll go out of full page mode.
i am trying to do a piece in flash and have figured out how to make it fun full screen...
now here's the problem, with Stage.scaleMode = "noScale"; on the first frame it doesn't really scale the swf...
what i really want to do is take Stage.scaleMode = "noScale"; out but then be able to see the swf play with out distortion... is that possible?
how do you go about retrieving the width and the height inside of the browser window and go about applying it in actionscript so the height is always 100% and the width is always scales proportionally so the swf doesn't get distorted?
Is there a technique out there which might solve my dilema? I have a standard HTML content page which text and links on it then I want to put Flash over the top, on a layer, wmode set to transparent so you can see the HTML below. All fine so far, I can do this as you can see here -The problem is that obviously you can't select the HTML (ctrl+A) and worse, the links aren't clickable! Not good for accessibility

View 1 RepliesI have a 100% width and height flash object in my site. Activating and exiting browser full screen mode with F11 only works as long the user didn't click the Flash movie. And I doubt many users know they have to click the address bar to enable F11 after using a (browser) full screen Flash movie.
View 1 RepliesI'm working on a site that allows administrators to upload arbitrary SWFs and embed them on the page. Administrators are in theory trusted, but I still want to protect against potentially malicious administrators or misguided administrators from harming the site.
A part of the functionality of the site is that the SWFs can communicate to the containing browser page when it's finished and for the page to react.
Now, I can think of two ways to do this:
Use ExternalInterface.addCallback to create a global callback named something like isComplete that does logic and returns true or false depending on whether the Flash app is in a completed state. Then, just do something like setTimeout to just call that function repeatedly. I don't think this would require me to open up allowscriptaccess to the movie. Embed the movie with allowscriptaccess and have the movie call something like ExternalInterface.call('done') when it's finished. This option seems like it requires me to open up allowscriptaccess, which is a potential threat since I can't control the SWFs that would be embedded with this directive.
I am working on a Flash app that is 900x700 pixels. When viewed in misc. browsers at 1024x768, the browser chrome causes robs too much of the vertical space and the app appears in a window with a vertical scrollbar. Unacceptable.
The flash app will be launched via a link emailed to the viewers.
I'd like to avoid resizing the flash app and am wondering if there's a way to do the following via javascript, with no clicks involved:maximize the current browser window remove current window address bar and tabs / switch browser to full screen view (equivalent to pressing F11).
An alternative would be to resize the flash app vertically to match the browser canvas height to avoid scrolling. This may cause the app to become unreadable, so not the best approach in my case.
UPDATE: Seems that browser resizing and autoswitch to full screen won't work and neither will the flash app auto resize. What is the best approach then? And, some users may have browsers with toolbars or open a small browser window.
The only idea I have is to use javascript and display a message to users with small browser windows to pres F11 manually. The audience is executes and some may not even know what an F11 means...
