ActionScript 3.0 :: Delay Flash Compile Time Or Expand It To Prevent From Crashing?

I noticed that when compiling a flash file (test Movie) and when I am loading some content from a webserver that is slow that I think flash is thinking it takes too long and crashes. So is there a way to control the compile time to prevent it from crashing?

I am a flash games developer, and I am currently working on a game that is truly massive.The main file size is over 250MB.It's been a work in progress for about 4 months of solid work.Due to the size of the file, I prefer to create things like characters and objects in another file. I then need to import it over, replacing old movieclips.
When copying and pasting now, it always crashes, or tells me that its run out of virtual memory.It appears to be impossible to get it all over, even bit by bit.I've saved and compacted, I've saved as, I've moved it onto another disk drive.All of the above seemed to help temporarily, but I'm now at a stage where nothing is working.I don't think the file is corrupted in anyway. I've had no problems with any other component of flash. Just the copying.I just don't understand what's so intensive about moving over an object of about 10-20 mb.My computer is quite high performance, 5.6ghz, 4gb of ram.
I've asked for help on so many forums now, and all i get is criticism at my file size. Well it can't be helped. It's a massive game.I've tried using a runtime shared library, but unfortunately it doesn't allow attachmovie to get it from the library. It seems the identifier is only being used to connect the 2 libraries when you set up a runtime shared library.attachmovie is very important to the code and it can't be done any other way.

using the distribute to layers option constantly crashes me! I can use it ONCE after a restart of flash and after that it's a gamble wether it will crash or not...though more often than not it does

Flash CS5.5 has suddenly started crashing all the time. It's ridiculous.It's always about 2 seconds after:- Minimizing/Bringing forward another window.- Testing a movie- Opening/closing another fla in CS5.5This is with any fla file. It's incredibly frustrating.The window just tints white and I get a "____________ has stopped working", and my only choice is to close program.I am using Windows 7. am really shocked at how progressively unreliable EVERY Flash Pro has been since CS3, despite being an industry standard.It's been incredibly useful to me since I first started using it in 2004 (MX 2004 that is). However, considering all my other development software, it is clear that it is by far the most unreliable.It is unacceptable.

Both of these are saved in files with the name same as the classes.
Both are saved a folder which also contains an fla file name hello.fla.So,when test the movie(hello.fla),after choosing the document class as WavyBall,I get these errors: 1046: Type was not found or was not a compile-time constant: Ball.

1120: Access of undefined property stage.
Source:Ball.x=stage.stageWidth/2;
1120: Access of undefined property stage.
Source:Ball.y=stage.stageHeight/2;

I want to pulish SWF file from .fla file. I have some scripts there, but when I pulished them - they don't work. I get error from compiler:

I moved from using the Flex Builder 3 IDE to Flash Builder a couple weeks ago and have noticed a ridiculous jump in compile times with the same project. It almost seems like every time I build it does a clean build. The project I am working with is pretty big, but when it takes more than 4 mins to build, something is wrong. I tried adding more memory to eclipse and all the tricks I could find on the web but the compile time never really changed. I am running under Windows 7 32bit, and I get the same performance from the plugin and stand alone version of the IDE.

how to import a SWC file directly in ActionScript, without setting a library path to the file.To exemplify, I need something like this:

Besides, I don't want to (I can't, in fact) import the SWC by loading it with Loader class.
Edited Just to add more info about the problem, I'll showcase my scenario with more details...I have a class SubClass that wil be independent from the rest.It will extend a class SuperClass that is inside the SWC/SWF...This SWC/SWF have the whole framework.I can't compile every class inside a single SWF.Every part of my framework is a SWF apart and will be downloaded by Loader class on runtime.

i have been using AS2.0 for quite a long time. And i started using papervision3D too.I am using tutorial made by Lee Brimelow's cube tutorial. but i want different results. So long i am able to move the cube in one direction and that is my requirement. I always assumed constants to be good, obedient variables that are only set once, and thereafter never change.They are reliable and... well... constant. However, the term "compile-time constant" seems to pop up quite a bit.Does this mean that rather than treat references to the constant as references to a variable, Flash goes in (at least for numbers, booleans, and strings) and during the compiling replaces all the references to the constant variable with those actual values? For instance, this line during "edit mode":
stage.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, onClick);
during compile time, the Flash FIRST replaces it to this:
stage.addEventListener("click", onClick);
and AFTER that finishes the compiling into bytecode?
This method would be a little faster since it doesn't need to access the constant as a variable, but instead has the actual value, which is a fraction of a second saved, but it can add up in the long run.Is this what happens or am I way off? Why otherwise would there be the term "Compile-time constant", and what does that refer to?

I'm looking to speed up compile time. Back in the day I used MTASC and it would just update the code of the swf.
Since AS3 I need to publish the movie from the IDE and it takes forever because of the images and fonts in the library.
Is there anything that works like MTASC these days? Or does anybody have a real smart work flow I should consider?

does anyone know of any actionscript i can use for a time delay. Say you have only 3 frames on a time line is there some way using actionscript that i can delay the playhead so for instance it stays on each frame for 20mins and once that time is up it moves on to the next frame and so on and so on.

is there a way in as3 to run multiple tweens at the same time without them crashing? eg. I had a problem with a movie clip.. on mouse over it would glow, and if clicked it would move to another place... the problem was if the user clicked the clip while it was glowing, the "glow" tween was interupted and the clip moved to another place but kept the glow... another eg. if i play an embedded video at the same time an animaton of some sort starts at another part of the screen, they both slow down.... so basicly, is there a way to make multiple tweens and/or videos run smooth at the sam time?
