Nov 21, 2011Is it possible to configure a flash SWF so that it not only is transparent, but also let's users click through to the HTML below?
The scenario: Imagine a horizontal drop down menu. That menu is a transparent SWF. For it to have a drop down I need to set the movie dimensions for something like width: 1000px; height: 250px; Those 250px will overlap an html slider. Users won't be able to click the slider because the flash movie has a higher z-index.

Jul 16, 2008I am wondering how can one stop the user from clicking on a button (MC) without using btn.enabled = false.example: i have a menu that has buttons which have tweens on rollover and onRelease events. I want to be able to click on home for e.g. disabling all other buttons to avoid user clicking but still keep the rollover. I have tried btn.enabled = false and of course i dont want to disable the entire btn and instead i want to disable just the onRelease event or even avoid the mouse from clicking until the animation finish. Only Then, user can click on another menu button.

Nov 4, 2009Basically what i have is three buttons which can be pressed in a maximum of 7 different combinations. Each of these buttons has a movieclip underneath that advances to the next frame when the button is pressed. Each clip has two frames with actions, frame 1 has:
stop();
var option1:Boolean = false;
and then frame 2 has:
stop();
var option1:Boolean = true;
So when you press a button you have true, and false when the button is pushed again.
i already have a constant loop between frames 2 and 4. At frame 4 i think i need to have some code that detects which state the 3 boolean statements are in and then load a movie depending on which statements are true and which are false.

How do write the script to do the following on frame 10?
if only 1 movieclip is visible make one_mc visible true
if only 2 movieclips are visible make two_mc visible true

... so on for all 10 hope this make sense.

Aug 25, 2011I am trying to display database details in a Flex datagrid and connected using HTTP Service. It was able to display details without any issue when I was working in the FlashBuilder 4.5, however, I deployed the bin-debug part in the Tomcat webserver to access it globally.
