ActionScript 2.0 :: Button Status After Movie Loaded - Enabled / False

Feb 28, 2004

I tried the following code and it works great.
on (release) {
loadMovieNum("main.swf", 1);
main.enabled = false;
}
How would I go about resetting the the button's status after another movie is loaded? Do I have to manually code for each movie loaded or is there an easier way using loops perhaps?

ActionScript 3.0 :: Button.enabled = False (but Still Clickable)

Apr 7, 2011

Got a button (imported png defined as a button in the library).The button is dragged onto the stage, given an instance name "btn".Clicking the button fires an eventListener which is doing all the right things, except...

btn.enabled = false;

...only changes the cursor from a pointing finger to an arrow. What?! It is still clickable.My intention is to disable the button so it cannot be clicked. But it can still be clicked. Not good.How do I disable a button and prevent it from being clicked?

ActionScript 2.0 :: Prevent Click Events Without Disabling Buttons (enabled=false)?

Jul 16, 2008

I am wondering how can one stop the user from clicking on a button (MC) without using btn.enabled = false.example: i have a menu that has buttons which have tweens on rollover and onRelease events. I want to be able to click on home for e.g. disabling all other buttons to avoid user clicking but still keep the rollover. I have tried btn.enabled = false and of course i dont want to disable the entire btn and instead i want to disable just the onRelease event or even avoid the mouse from clicking until the animation finish. Only Then, user can click on another menu button.

This is something that is probably really basic but for the love of gawd I can't remember how to do it.

Example: 3 menu buttons, you press the first button and it executes a function and disables itself leaving the second and third button enabled. You then press the third button and the first button gets enabled while the third button is disabled. Same thing goes for the second button.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Disable Button Depending On AttachMovie Status?

Mar 30, 2006

how to use attachMovie to load a movieclip in to my main stage, drag it around and include a close button. I then added a variable (x) that would control which clip would on top depending on which was clicked last.

The question bit... I've managed to do this (...sort of), but was wondering if anyone could hint me with the code to disable the button if the clip is loaded, and enable it as soon as the clip has been closed so that it may be opened once again?

I'm using this to load the clip where x is the variable;

Code:

on (release) {
attachMovie("new", "newname1", x);
newname1._x=200;

Button Pressed True Or False?

Nov 4, 2009

Basically what i have is three buttons which can be pressed in a maximum of 7 different combinations. Each of these buttons has a movieclip underneath that advances to the next frame when the button is pressed. Each clip has two frames with actions,  frame 1 has:

stop();
var option1:Boolean = false;
and then frame 2 has:
stop();
var option1:Boolean = true;

So when you press a button you have true, and false when the button is pushed again.

i already have a constant loop between frames 2 and 4. At frame 4 i think i need to have some code that detects which state the 3 boolean statements are in and then load a movie depending on which statements are true and which are false.

Actionscript 3.0 :: Button Not Working - Errors: 1119: Access Of Possibly Undefined Property Enabled Through A Reference With Static Type Class

May 30, 2009

I'm trying to make a flash animation but I'm getting these two errors: 1119: Access of possibly undefined property enabled through a reference with static type Class. (line 4) 1061: Call to a possibly undefined method addEventListener through a reference with static type Class. (line 5) This is the code I'm using:
Code: Select allimport flash.display.*;

import flash.events.*;
stop();
buti.enabled;
buti.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,pla);
function pla(e:MouseEvent):void {
gotoAndPlay(2);
}

My animation is a initial photo that turns around and becomes a black backgroud (were I'll add some text), now what I want is that the photo won't animate until I do a click in it. I used a Layer with a transparent image and converted it to a button and the export name is buti. The other to layers were converted to movie clips named preto and foto.
