I Have rollover buttons in Flash cs3 using actionscript 2 and i need to have a "visited" status.Every visited button would stay on the rollover image and indicate to the viewer that he's been there.

I want to put a rollover action on the buttons, that when you rollover a button that the whole button image enlarges and moves in front of the other.

I've tried to create this rollover navigation...starting over 6 times already. Is there different language / coding for 1.0 and 2.0? I don't understand what I'm doing wrong.
I can create buttons using flash. and i have change buttons colors when the mouse over status of the button. but the problem is i cant set the status of the button.as a example in above site if the user click the FAN Club button button will change in to a different color ( ash rectangle).

View 3 Replieshow to use attachMovie to load a movieclip in to my main stage, drag it around and include a close button. I then added a variable (x) that would control which clip would on top depending on which was clicked last.
The question bit... I've managed to do this (...sort of), but was wondering if anyone could hint me with the code to disable the button if the clip is loaded, and enable it as soon as the clip has been closed so that it may be opened once again?

How would I go about resetting the the button's status after another movie is loaded? Do I have to manually code for each movie loaded or is there an easier way using loops perhaps?
Take a look at the following sites; and notice their menus. Both have a rollover and rollout on their buttons, and when the button is hit the button stays down until another button is pressed. In the scissor sisters site, the neon bar still fades out after another has been pressed.

I have mastered the button rollOver and rollOut effect, in which i gathered the code from a kirupa tutorial. My problem is, getting the neon bar to stay underneath teh last button that has been pressed.The main movie is located on the main timeline in frame 2, because frame 1 contains the pre loader.
The actions for frame 2 of the main timeline are:

Now the buttons are not buttons, they are movieclips, which are located on the stage, and have instance names of b1 for news, b2 for biography etc etcInside the movieclip, the animation of the neon bar fading in takes 25 frames, and this has a stop action on the end.

Am developing a website in joomla and have a .swf file loading for the banner of each page depending on which page id is passed via the url. Basically i have a default banner and on certain pages i have a different .swf loading. This is done with php. Now what i want is to use actionscript to detect if a page has been visited - if it has then set the movie to a still frame so the movie only runs once when the page is visited . I came across a script which allows me do this

This is great and works well for the default .swf but i need scripts for my other .swf files that will detect if a visitor has been to these pages or that these .swf files have run.
Here im try to do just like a Scorm. Now im troubles, I need to find a user's visited links.I tried bt i failed. i used attachMovie(). If i attach the clip then i couldnt remove that clip even i used removeMovieClip() and unloadMovie().And my another doubt is: Can i calculate the Loaded swf's content length, Because i want to add the sliders like a windows media player. So that user can drag the slider to forward that current swf on the screen.

I know the event "show" works for View stack i.e. I can use this event (capture it and do some processing) to know whenever my view stack child gets displayed in screen. But when I am trying to use the same event for a child of a state it doesn't work (i.e. breakpoint set at its event handler never gets hit). Similary, creationComplete only works when the screen is visited for the first time.

I was thinking about making a function that traces a frame when the player is already one it. I want the function to deny entrance to that frame after it was viewed once.
View 4 RepliesI'm working on a project, and it's going OK. What I want to do is for the user to rollover a button/object, and a little pop-up box will show up, and it will have some text/photos/... Pretty routine stuff. That I can accomplish without a problem...
Now, what I want to add in there is also a hyperlink that will open a Web page in a new window. And that's where I get stuck. It won't let me.
I assume it's because part of the rollover thing in the button symbol. That's how I'm doing it so far.
So, is there anything I can do going that route, or do I need to take another approach?
I'm thinking the other option would be to create a movie clip, which would hold the pop-up box and the photos and the like, then make a button within that which would hold the hyperlink. Then, I could create an object right on the timeline with a rollOver that would trigger the movie-clip instance.
Im having a problem getting a Rollover to work. I have a picture with an opaque box over it and when you scroll over the opaque box i want it to tween out and the picture become a clickable area...then when you roll off the opaque box returns to it original position. I can get the box to move...but i think i have too many event listeners and its looping. this is the effect im going for.

There is a small arrow on the buttom when the mouse rollover on the arrow the arrow is gone dissaper and the navigation show on the stage. When i rollout the mouse its collaps but when my mouse pointer is in the swf area. If i have rollout quickly form the navigation out of the swf area (on html). It's not working.
