I was wondering if there is a code that can make flash recognize if a certain frame has already been visited. Is there a way to go about doing this? I was thinking about making a function that traces a frame when the player is already one it. I want the function to deny entrance to that frame after it was viewed once.

I wanted to know how do I use shared object to remember the last visited frame of the user and then to make sure it goes to that frame on the next visit?

View 4 RepliesI have a project in Flash Mx 2004. On the first frame there is a menu with 4 menu items. When the user clicks an item, they are taken to another frame with some text and an exit button that takes them back to the menu. The forward button will not become active until all of the menu items have been viewed. There is no particular order for the items to be viewed, just that they all be viewed before the forward arrow is active and the user can continue. I tried puttin an action on the exit button to disable the related menu item, however, the item just resets back to enabled each time a user re-enters the frame.

so i have a project where i will be making a website. I will be using flash to make it interactive and visually appealing. I found a website with a really cool entrance page, iew it n't really know much about the action script language so be as precise and clear
View 1 RepliesOn a flash time line we've got this movie, it plays and then on the last frame there is action script to stop it. (prevent loopage) However, after the movie stops there are a couple of movie clips that loop forever, one of which is a spinning navigation. The navigation spins and spins for eternity, until you mouse over it. When you mouse over it it stops spinning. Theoretically you can then click on the button, which will lead to the page, that you want to go to.Now, making the buttons lead to the page, that's not a problem. The problem is, that before I want it to jump to another page, I want there to be a....how do we see...entrance animation to play.So like, if you click on blue page, a blue square will fade in on top of the button you just pressed, it will grow larger and cover the page, then bam, new page loads (new page would be designed in blue, thus you get the idea?). I know how to use a button to load movie, to make a complete flash site, but I'm not doing that, I want the pages it jumps to to be in html. But I know about doing that too.
What I don't know how to do is, make the entrance animation show up where the button currently is. Because the navigation is spinning and because it pauses on mouse over, the buttons are never in the same place. I know the loadmovie command can load a movie on top of this one, but it generally just throws it up there, or you can specify a point, but how can you specify that it load starting where the button is?
I've written some code for a small webcam application. It's working well within Flash, there are just some minor adjustments I'd like to make to 'fine tune' the application.Let me explain the issue:
1) I have a button on screen, to call/activate the webcam.
2) When that button is clicked, (you guessed it) it activates the webcam.
3) It also displays two new buttons on stage (Click and Cancel)
4) A warning msg pops up, asking you to Allow/Deny flash webcam access.
5) If I click Deny, the Two new buttons on stage (Click and Cancel), remain there.
So what I'd like to do, is to display Click and Cancel, only if the user allows webcam access.
Is there a way to deny direct access to a XML file without affecting access to the SWF?

View 3 RepliesI am working on a flash video recorder.When the video recorder applications loads , a camera permission dialog box opens asking the user to either allow or deny access to the camera or microphone.The problem is that on mac firefox the the user is not able to click on the allow or deny buttons.In fact the entire flash dialog box does not respond to any mouse clicks. When you right click on the flash area to manually open the security window it opens .But even here there is no response to mouse clicks.Using the keyboard i am able to shift focus from allow button to deny buttons or any other part of the dialog box but nothing happens on pressing the enter key.In short, the recorder application freezes at the very first step in mac firefox.

Basically i have a default banner and on certain pages i have a different .swf loading. This is done with php. Now what i want is to use actionscript to detect if a page has been visited - if it has then set the movie to a still frame so the movie only runs once when the page is visited . This is great and works well for the default .swf but i need scripts for my other .swf files that will detect if a visitor has been to these pages or that these .swf files have run.
Here im try to do just like a Scorm. Now im troubles, I need to find a user's visited links.I tried bt i failed. i used attachMovie(). If i attach the clip then i couldnt remove that clip even i used removeMovieClip() and unloadMovie().And my another doubt is: Can i calculate the Loaded swf's content length, Because i want to add the sliders like a windows media player. So that user can drag the slider to forward that current swf on the screen.

I know the event "show" works for View stack i.e. I can use this event (capture it and do some processing) to know whenever my view stack child gets displayed in screen. But when I am trying to use the same event for a child of a state it doesn't work (i.e. breakpoint set at its event handler never gets hit). Similary, creationComplete only works when the screen is visited for the first time.

to stop other domains. when ever i put my domain there, FMLE can not connect to my server. this is a huge fallback for me, i dont know what to do, all the content theft just stream to my server and put the rtmp url to there SWF player, some even have there own logos.
