ActionScript 3.0 :: Camera.getCamera() Doesn't Work After Deny
Jul 7, 2009
If you click any of the two buttons (which do the same), in order to start capturing video with the camera, you get the Adobe Flash Player Settings dialogue (image included).If you click Deny, I can't get the camera to work again later on...Is this the intended behavior?A similar problem (which is not included in this example) happens after closing the connection to the camera with
I am capturing camera on flex for android using air 3.1,and found that the camera is only showing the a part of of actual camera video.When i view camera using normal camera application in android galaxy tab, it shows full camera area but when i am capturing the camera in flex its showing only the center area for it.I tried using setMode to set the resolution, but its not of any use.Is there any way to get full camera area captured inside flex using camera.getCamera ?
I just came across the new stageVideo, as I am not very Savvy using AIR i was wondering if i could use the camera video (getCamera)on the stagevideo, and how to implement it?
I am working on a flash video recorder.When the video recorder applications loads , a camera permission dialog box opens asking the user to either allow or deny access to the camera or microphone.The problem is that on mac firefox the the user is not able to click on the allow or deny buttons.In fact the entire flash dialog box does not respond to any mouse clicks. When you right click on the flash area to manually open the security window it opens .But even here there is no response to mouse clicks.Using the keyboard i am able to shift focus from allow button to deny buttons or any other part of the dialog box but nothing happens on pressing the enter key.In short, the recorder application freezes at the very first step in mac firefox.
I decided to try to use setInterval for myanimation, which is just a mouse trail.However, I'm trying to get teh mouse trail to be a dynamic mask.In my previous swf this was achieved by using a holder mc with the animation inside and then using this as the mask. But this time I just canpt seem to hit on the right way to get it to work. The code I am using for the mouse trail is:
Code: var i:Number = 0; var myInt:Number; var t:MovieClip;[code].....
in the function, but now the trail doesn't resize and the mask still doesn't work.
Have anyone have similiar experience work with GigE ethernet camera with flash app? recently need to test high resolution with high fps such as 1600x1200 @60 fps work with flash application, Does it required to via other C#/delphi/C++ programming to work with together?
In windows xp environment the GigE ethernet camera is connected to local pc only, not to internet server or FMS for streaming.

Which implementation is running here: [URL] I have Vista Bussines SP2 but problem also exists on Windows 7 Home Premium. On IE 32 bit the capture image is flickering on my moves. This is very annoing. I compile my project with additional settings: -swf-version=12 -target-player=11.0 On for example Firefox this work much better but problem also exists. And external library is set to newest playerglobal.swc downloaded from Flash Adobe download site.
Often, but not always, the first few clicks on the "Allow" button on the Flash camera permissions dialog are ignored. This is very frustrating for users. And for me, when I'm testing code! I'm afraid I don't really know what else to say about the problem to give more insight. My hunch is that it has something to do with getting focus on the embed element, but that is merely a guess.
I have a button object that I need to scale to align with the variable width of an array of images.However, when I set the width in code, the button does not actually become that width. Tracing out the width gives me the correct value, but on screen.. it's off.
I've proved it to myself by scaling the same button object manually in the properties pane and visually comparing. Both of the buttons below have a width of 410.
From a Flash object, I would like to be able to detect the presence of a webcam that the user might grant access to, without actually asking the user whether they want to grant access. This is to streamline a large application that has extra features if a webcam exists — if there is a webcam, the application will present several dialogs that lead up to the normal cam-security prompt, but if the user doesn't have the hardware, I want to skip over them altogether. Requesting access to the cam before those dialogs won't make sense to the user.
It appears not to be possible to call Camera.getCamera() without the security prompt happening. Is there a workaround? (For instance, could I, perhaps, call getCamera in a hidden Flash object and inspect its return value, or does it block until the user acknowledges the security prompt?)
I have a video capture device on a machine. I have written a windows application to capture the video from this device. While capturing, if i try to broadcast using flash it does not connect. If i'm already broadcasting and then try to capture then my windows application does not get the capture pin of the device. So, flash seems to be taking the capture pin. Is there anyway to broadcast using the preview pin on the device so that i can capture using my application. Or is there way where i can split the capture pin and give one to my app and one to the broadcaster
I've written some code for a small webcam application. It's working well within Flash, there are just some minor adjustments I'd like to make to 'fine tune' the application.Let me explain the issue:
1) I have a button on screen, to call/activate the webcam. 2) When that button is clicked, (you guessed it) it activates the webcam. 3) It also displays two new buttons on stage (Click and Cancel) 4) A warning msg pops up, asking you to Allow/Deny flash webcam access. 5) If I click Deny, the Two new buttons on stage (Click and Cancel), remain there.
So what I'd like to do, is to display Click and Cancel, only if the user allows webcam access.
Usually Adobe Flash applications can access any usb-webcam.I have a USB camera for microscopes which understands TWAIN and DirectShow.Is there a possibility to access the video data from this camera with flash?
how to get pass where you dont have to allow or deny its auto allow access to webcam. ctionscript Code: var myCam:Camera = Camera.get();output_vid.attachVideo(myCam);
i want to develop video chat and there will be a admin and users. Admin can see their name on the screen and choose an user can start his/her cam play ?
It's very annoying the allow/deny security setting poped out everytime the web page submitted/refreshed. Is there a way to turn it off or at least allow/deny once for a whole web "session" (once for a web site visit)?
I was wondering if there is a code that can make flash recognize if a certain frame has already been visited. Is there a way to go about doing this? I was thinking about making a function that traces a frame when the player is already one it. I want the function to deny entrance to that frame after it was viewed once.
I have a swf that is pretty complicated, you can interact with the page and go to different keyframes and it stops and/or starts depending on buttons, but I want to put it in a fla or something so I can put other swfs next to it and build it up and put several of them together as one.
I don't care about making it too complicated, I just want one interactive swf to go to the next compiled swf when that movie ends, but when I try importing it or loading it it just runs straight through without stopping or paying any attention to the scripting.
I am trying to more between frames using the data returned from a node n_EventID in an xml, when the node returns "1408" I want to move to frame 1 but if it returns anything else I want to move to frame 2. The part where the code moves to frame 2 seems to work perfectly but I can't seem to move to frame 1 when "1408" is returned.
xmlResultFinish = new XML(); xmlResultFinish.ignoreWhite = true xmlResultFinish.onLoad = loadXmlResultFinish;
I'm having a problem, where random IE's are not able to display my .swf file. All the IE's are IE8 with the latest flash pluggins and all security's are set at Medium, however some IE's get just a grey box and other's get the full flash file. What's going on? It works fine in Safari and Firefox of course, but why so much difficulty with AS3 Flash9 in IE? here is a link to the site, and it's the big image changer at the bottom of the front page.
But my proublem is that I have a flash presentation.The defalt for moving the slide screens back and forth are left and right arrows.It works fine when tested or even the .swf fileBut then the left and right buttons don't respond when I go to fullscreen.
Is it common for AS3 apps to not work in IE? Is there a way to make them work? I have a movie clip in my library linked to a custom class Main and I have nothing on stage. Just one frame. Everything is built inside that movie clip. I add that movie clip to stage through a document class and everything works perfectly in Firefox and Chrome but when I open it in IE, it's just a blank page.
i followed the instructions oh how to make a centered pop up window here :i'm using a mac..nd it works in Safari... but when i try to use explore to open it, the pop up window doesn't come up...why is that.......? did i do something wrong?here is my website:and please click on 'message' to see for yourself.
this is what i have on the maintimeline:[code]I have 4 moveiclips called: redhex, bluehex, greenhex, and yellowhex.what the above code should do is make a 15x15 grid of hexes (yes i wanted all 4 hex mc's overlapping each other at each space on the grid.).Before i added the lines to dupllicate the blue, green, and yellow hexes also... the redhex movieclip duplicated exactly as it should.But after adding the lines to duplicate the blue, green, and yellow hexes also, in the same locations... Nothing at all showed up when i tested the movie (not even the redhex's)
