I can create buttons using flash. and i have change buttons colors when the mouse over status of the button. but the problem is i cant set the status of the button.as a example in above site if the user click the FAN Club button button will change in to a different color ( ash rectangle).

View 3 Replieshow to use attachMovie to load a movieclip in to my main stage, drag it around and include a close button. I then added a variable (x) that would control which clip would on top depending on which was clicked last.
The question bit... I've managed to do this (...sort of), but was wondering if anyone could hint me with the code to disable the button if the clip is loaded, and enable it as soon as the clip has been closed so that it may be opened once again?

I have a bunch of potential random strings for recvStream.play("randomstring");then i have a timer checking every 5 seconds on a function that runs an event listener:

then im thinking in a switch statement i can use it to check if it's an active stream or not to either have it search for another stream that should be active or stop the timer and let it play.

How do I implement a status check service (hosted on another domain) that will check if the ENTIRE app is up and running? Ideally, I'd make checker SWF that would load App SWF and called its function that would return something from the database (a naive service would count rows in table and hash it with MD5), but security constrains won't let me call loaded SWF's function.
Checking the java services only is not enough, as I am not checking the status of the SWF.
In a setup like this is it possible to check the cumulative status of all onLoadInit?

The problem is in my languages we have 3 extra characters called. So in twitter I get this error message: Invalid Unicode value in one or more parameters So the problem is that I have to pass my String as utf-8, I think so at least. Is it a way to URL encode a String in as3?

I'm loading a number of MP3 files into my Flash (the number changes dynamically). I would like to be able to say, in total, how much longer all the files will take to load.

But each sound is loaded by an instance of my sound loader class, how can I pass the ProgressEvent up to the parent object, and then have it calculate the total time to load?
I made a little flash presentation where a bulb increases in brightness as the mouse goes over it and decreases as the mouse goes out. I set up the object on the stage and created a motion tween equal to 30 frames in which the object starts dull and increases in brightness. To control it, I made this little script:

For some reason the bulb only goes back one frame and then stops at that frame.
I'm debugging a flash website that do a request to an php file named upload.php to upload some images to the server.The problem i'm having that debugging it with Firebug the request to that page is throwing a 406 Not Acceptable status code and is not saving the images.
Post Data: This website runs well on the staging server but in production server this process of the image upload fails. I only can assume that a change to apache configuration / php must be done.
I am making rest calls with a urlload.load(urlRquest).

When I make the calls within the Flash IDE, I get HTTPStatusEvent.status = 400 (or whatever) when an error occurs. And the IOErrorEvent.data contains xml (or sometimes a string).
However, when I run the swf in a browser (Firefox Mac or PC), the HTTPStatusEvent.status = 0, and the IOErrorEvent.data is empty. (Interestingly in Safari Mac, I do get the 400 status, but still no data.)

Instead of getting different value by clicking different button, I constantly get "3" as the value. I want: clicking "button01" will get "0" as the value, clicking "button02" will get "1" as the value, and clicking "button03" will get "2" as the value. How to do it?
have a loop that creates buttons. Each button stays on the screen, but scrolls off, meaning there are at any one time upto 4 buttons on the screen. There are a total of 241 buttons.t is to my understanding that using an array will allow me to access these buttons later, and that is great, but I can not find a way for it to tell me exactly which button was clicked.Am I missing something very simple here?
