I am having troubles passing an x and y argument into a package function that creates a projectile on stage at the tank.gun's x and y.I have attached a zip of the code I am working on.[code]
I'm running into this weird thing with ASDoc. It will only document one package function per package.For example.I have these two functions:
gs.util.printf gs.util.ftrace
In these files:
gs/util/printf.as gs/util/ftrace.as
The only function that get's documented in ASDocs is "printf". But I know it can do more than one. As an example, in the livedocs [URL] There are more than one functions documented.
I'm completely new to flash and I'm building a website right now. I'm trying to get my buttons to function with my pages, but I keep getting this error, and nothing but a continuous loop of my pages content."ReferenceError: Error #1069: Property num not found on flash.text.TextField and there is no default value.at reetlightfinal_fla::MainTimeline/onclk()"hat am I doing wrong? Here's my code.
Code: stop(); function makebutton(mc:MovieClip, num:int):void{
First let me warn you that I'm "old school" i.e. code is on my timeline and the only classes used were those automatically created when I added several new fonts to Script1.swf which is my movieclip for embedded fonts.
On the first frame of my main movieclip which is named Round.fla, I have loaded Script1.swf that contains the fonts using the loader object. I'm using a trace statement that shows that Script1_lb.swf is loaded.
I am using a listbox (script1_lb) with movieclip icons (jpg picture of the sample font) and the data is the name of the font class, like this: script1_lb.dataProvider.addItem( {icon:akaDora_mc, data:"akaDora"} );
I am dealing with an OOP mess that I have been able to largely resolve, but recently when I added a few sound variables into the script I am getting the two following errors
ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable Icon is not defined.
ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable FLVPlayback is not defined.
I have used the FLVPlayback component a few times in this website. But I have no idea what this Icon is. I am using two external libraries - Tweenlite and Away 3D. I traced back the edit that is causing the error.
1) I declare a new sound variable -> private var track2:Sound; -> does not cause any errors
2) I instantiate it in a private method called by the constructor -> track2 = new Sound(); -> does not cause any errors
3) I ask track2 to load in a new sound -> track2.load(new URLRequest("bike_intro.mp3")); -> this is what causes the error
The compiler gives no hints as to what exactly is the problem and I don't see how loading in a new sound is associated with FLVPlayback or what this Icon is? I did some research and figured out that this error pops up if you don't declare your classes as Public. I have declared all my classes as public and above all I don't have a class called Icon.
All this is happening in a document class. I am using player 10.0.2 and using flash to compile but writing my as3 code in flash builder 4.
C:demoABC.as: Error: A file found in a source-path must have the same package structure '', as the definition's package, 'demo'.Where is wrong above command?
This is with Flexbuilder 3.2, Eclipse 3.3.2.I am moving my development environment to a new machine. Actionscript classes that compiled in the old environment now get a compile error:
A file found in a source-path must have an externally visible definition. If a definition in the file is meant to be externally visible, please put the definition in a package.I do declare the package in these classes - I think failure to declare the package is the usual reason for this error.To add to the mystery, many classes in this project compile without errors.
ReferenceError: Error #1069: Property . not found on builtin.as$0.MethodClosure and there is no default value. var srt:String = "2010.11.12 19:15"; var _split:Array = str.split(" "); var _date:String = _split[0];
[code]....
I just need to create a Date object from this string, like new Date(dateArr[0], dateArr[1]-1, dateArr[2], timeArr[0], timeArr[1]);
Im trying to make my buttons work.. but Im getting this error message when I click on my buttons any help will be appreciated.....
ReferenceError: Error #1069: Property names not found on flash.display.SimpleButton and there is no default value. at onewaywesite_fla::MainTimeline/clickSection()
ReferenceError: Error #1069: Property gotoAndStop not found on flash.display.SimpleButton and there is no default value. at AS3RPG_fla::MainTimeline/switchToFHero() Im still new to As3 eventho i have some decent experience in As2, i understand the problem im just not sure how to correct it since As2 buttons obviously didnt need this.
I have 3 input textfield. Each textfield has a string pre-loaded into it. When user pressed Tab, the focus should be cycled around textfield 1-3. Now, I'm trying to set the caret index to the last letter of the textfield. What is wrong with the code?
Code: public function myTabKeyDown(event:KeyboardEvent):void {
ReferenceError: Error #1069: Property gotoAndStop not found on flash.display.AVM1Movie and there is no default value.at Shell_fla::my_playbtn_43/pauseAll()I am getting error for the following code
pause_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, pauseAll) function pauseAll(evt:MouseEvent):void {
PHP Code: var bitmapData:BitmapData = new BitmapData(100,100); var bitmap:Bitmap = new Bitmap(bitmapData); super.addchild(bitmap);
and compile it, the error pop up like the above (in the title) ReferenceError: Error #1070: Method addchild not found on flash.display.MovieClip I don't understand, could someone point out what is the error in my code?
I have narrowed this error down to the following code, but i cant see the problem...
Code: ReferenceError: Error #1069: Property ENTER_FRAME not found on flash.events.Event and there is no default value. at sample_fla::MainTimeline/frameEventHandler()
ActionScript Code: addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME,frameEventHandler) function frameEventHandler(Event){ var collisions:Array = collisionList.checkCollisions();
When you click a circle it should double in size. However I get the error: ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable TCMText is not defined. I think it's because I selected both the text and circle and made the selection a single symbol. Does anyone know how to combine a shape and symbol together without getting this error message?
The first line of this code is throwing ReferenceError #1069. "Property focusMask not found on ObjectButtonSkin and there is no default value." The "skin" variable is of type MovieClip, and the actual object instance is of type ObjectButtonSkin (which extends MovieClip).
[Code]...
This was never a problem before, so I'm not sure why this is happening. The ObjectButtonSkin class is not marked as dynamic or anything else, so perhaps that's the problem? One site suggested I should be using "()" instead of "[]" to access the property, but that doesn't seem right.
I wrote a flex demo, customized spark TextInput skin with rounded corners and a search icon in it, like mac os x search box, it's running good in browsers (by Flash Player browser plug-in) either .html or .swf, but error by flash player directly.
I have 2 Flash files: one is a flash game in as3 and second a flash movie (as2). I want to add one scene to my as3 file and use my second flash file(as2).I have deleted all script from buttons and frames so I have now just a flash movie no scripting inside. I copied all frames and layers (in as2) - right click - copy frames. I have created second scene in my as3 file and I have pasted there frames and layers from as2 file. Now when I publish movie I have errors:
ReferenceError: Error #1056: Cannot create property itunes_mc on Site. ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable yellow_button is not defined. at Site/frame170()[Site::frame170:2]
what is error 1069?, the line in red drops error, any clue?.....
Code: myloader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, loaderFunction); //event listener sub buttons control loaded movie function loaderFunction(evt:Event):void { [Code].....
additional info about the error: Property content not found on flash.display.SimpleButton and there is no default value. at MethodInfo-2()
I have classes witch resides in this package :com.network.interface_as. When I try to load one class from that package in another class in the same package like this:
I've written a small sample AIR application in Flex to be deployed on iOS and Android, but I'm wondering how to go about setting up a way to publish it as Flash as well. I'm using Flash Builder 4.5. Any tips for this AIR noob?EDIT:I should add that I've tried to add a new Run Configuration, but did not see a Flash app option listed there. I'm sure I'm missing something fundamental. After all, this is FLASH Builder.UPDATE:So this partially did the trick... I went to Run Configurations again and created a new launch configuration called "Flash_configuration" and pointed it at my project like so.
However, upon hitting "Run," the app launches in Adobe Flash Player, but is completely blank. The mobile flex contains buttons and UI elements in the View, but these do not show up in Flash Player. Perhaps the Mobile Flex framework elements are not directly translated to elements understood by Flash? If so, will I have to use some actionscipt to detect the platform and replace those mobile elements with flash-friendly ones? I would sure hate to rewrite/draw.
I'm trying to make use of a package that someone else has written in my Flash AS3 programme.I can't work out how to include it however, nothing I try seems to work. The package is here:[URL]
Been looking for tutorials and examples of how to use the 3D package in Flash 10 but can't find anything. I have some experience of 3D programming (C++) so I don't need the basics, just a description of how actionscript works.
Had a example of a randomly rotating 3D box but can't find the page again...
Below is a MXML code built from Flash Builder 4.5 with AIR SDK 3.0. Using Starling framework to create 2D animation and wonder how do I call a addText function without create a new instance of Game?
If I create a new file in explorer named test.as and I create my packaged class, I haven't found a single way to have my flash file find and use it. I've tried using relative and exact paths in the actionscript 3.0 settings. It refuses to see it
However. If I create an as3 class named "test" THROUGH the program, it actually "LOADS" the test.as that I created in explorer. And has no problem finding and using the package.I need to know why Flash requires that the .as file is made through it's program.I feel like I'm entirely missing something. Does this mean that if I want to use a class that I find in some tutorial. I need to create new AS3 files and paste them in for each one?
I want the last update in V 9.0.280 (or 283?) of this Flash players(s!) for Flash pro CS3 in this page url...Actually on this good page and good old package, exit only file V 9.0.262.0 (46 Mo) to 02/11/2010.Where is the same package in last version (september 2010) V 9.0.280 (or 283?)?Only this package (for Flash pro CS... editor) in more 40 Mo (and normally in "ZIP" format) is the good! package.Not the pages with file Flash Player (for navigator) to +/- 3 Mo or other stranges Flash player packages of +/- 20 Mo (for developpers? or old system?)and not containing the good files for Flash Pro.
