ActionScript 3.0 :: Flash : Local Connection Gives Error #2082: Connect Failed Because The Object Is Already Connected?
Apr 2, 2010
I am trying to connect to FBJS bridge. It keeps giving me the following error.When I'm opening only one connection and I do not have any other window open.
ArgumentError: Error #2082: Connect failed because the object is already connected.at flash.net::LocalConnection/connect()at BabyVille()[C:Documents and SettingsuserDesktopabyvilleflashMain ProjectsrcBabyVille.as:56]This is my code :
I have seen a few posts on this topic and I have tried wrapping the lc.connect attempt in a try/catch block. My goal is to be able to open my app (a cfm in which swf's communicate w/ each other using localConnection) in multiple browsers without receiving this error.
Optivote IR8 is basically a voting system with a bunch of remote controllers, which can send IR signals to a receiver, which is connected to a computer through a USB port. And I'm trying to write my own little software for that with Flash.Optivote receiver communicates with software through a virtual serial port. When I connect to that port through PuTTY, I can see signals whenever I press any button on the remote controllers. Although, when I connect to that port through Serproxy (which relays a socket connection to a serial port connection), the remote controllers don't seem to work. I just get the same signal every half a second or so, over and over. I'm guessing the receiver is trying to make some kind of handshake this way.
The thing I can't figure out is what PuTTY does that Serproxy doesn't to make the serial port connection work. Maybe there's some proper way to tell the other end when I connect?(I use Serproxy, because Flash applications cannot connect to a serial port directly, but supports socket connections)
Is it possible to connect to the same Local Connection more than once?
What if I have a Flash signature with same flash movie on the page 3 times and I click on the button on the first movie. Can the other 2 movies do the same action the first movie is doing?
I thought thats what LocalConnection was for but when the second movie tries to LocalConnection.connect it says the connection is already connected.
I'm running FMIS and I'm getting a connection error in my video player while connected to a wireless network. Works like a charm when I have a hardwire connection.
Is it just because I'm on a terribly slow network? are there some firewall settings on the network that need to be opened for rtmp streaming?
I am using Flex and php to develop my project. Everything works great in my local machine.However, when I upload my files to my serverI got the error when loading my flex application.The pop-up error message is
I have a single server that runs IIS and FMS, both on port 80. The server has two internal IPs assigned to it, one for IIS and the other for FMS. I also have two static public IPs. My router maps one public IP to IIS' internal IP and likewise for FMS.
IIS works fine. Using an online port scanner, I was able to determine that port 80 is responsive for both public IPs. Before I had configured my Adapter.xml and fms.ini, only IIS' public IP was responsive. This seems to indicate that FMS is fine.
However, when my ActionScript creates a NetConnection and calls connect(), my netStatus callback takes about half a minute to be invoked, and I get "NetConnection.Connect.Failed". Which is not very informative. Is there a way to get more info about the cause of the error?
I am currently building a Flex application with a PHP backend. The flex application should talk to the backend using Zend_AMF.I have implemented the Zend_AMF endpoint as a controller, so it is accessible via http://localhost/myapp/amf.I am trying to test the service using a service browser called ZamfBrowser.When connecting, I get this error:
There was an error loading the server's info. Error: (mx.rpc.events::FaultEvent)#0 bubbles = false cancelable = true
when i do this locally on tomcat server on local development machine it works fine when i brought it over to linux im getting this error.i dont know what to do anymore it should be straight forward but i'm having no luck. i do have a web.xml and i see a broker for my remote access so i just dont know what it could possibly be
I have a Flex and Java application and i am using BlazeDS between flex and java. Generally my application works fine. I observed when ever i try fetch data little faster(not giving gap between two fetch commands) then i am getting the error "Server error :faultCode:Channel.Call.Failed faultString:'error' faultDetail:'NetConnection.Call.Failed: HTTP: Failed'"
I guess when ever load is increasing on BlazeDs, i am getting the error. I am calling the java service using following code
Im trying to make connection from flex to java and from java to mysql. I managed to connect to java, but having error that class not found: com.mysql.jdbc.Driver. But i downloaded mysql.jar, included it added to library, and connection works when i testing it from clipse scrapbook. Dont know what to do, i spend last couple days on this.
Basically the solution was simple. Everybody keeps saying to put jar into lib folder, so i done it, but i wasnt realised that i have to put into my servers lib directory, not app lib directory and this miserable mistake cost so much. Anyway i hope this will help for some newbie like me.In this particular situation im using red5, so i putted it into my red5 dist/lib directory and "surprisingly" its started to work.
I want to count the online user,when each client login the system,it's connecting to the server and increase a variable stored in a remote shared object.But when client connecting server,problems arises:Error #2126: NetConnection object must be connected
My web layout:
Website --- apps --- userLogin
Code snippets:
rtmpnc = new NetConnection(); rtmpnc.objectEncoding = ObjectEncoding.AMF0; var uri:String = ServerConfig.getChannel("my-rtmp").endpoint + "/userLogin"; rtmpnc.connect("http://202.206.249.193:2367/userLogin");
I'm making a program in flash builder 4.5 using WebOrb 4 (which is fantastic, I might add). When I go to deploy, however, it gives me this error:
>There was an error during model deployment for xxxxProgram. > >The server returned the following message: > >Unable to contact the RDS Server "Data Services on Tomcat (localhost)." > >Connection refused: connect > >Do you want to continue launching your Flex application?
I've poked around online for a solution, but for the most part I either don't understand them (forum grammar can be somewhat obtuse) or the answer in the post doesn't apply.
I got a IP Communications new account having following paramters:
[Code]...
Its showing me connecting ... Status is not getting update like: "Connection Failed" or "Connection Success". how to use the above information in this app,
I am trying to start making an admin client side application to monitor our service, including its properties that simply cannot be done through Administration Console, like blocking IP addresses of offending users.My problem is that even before I start using the Administration API (on which I will comment further down), I tried to f.e. inspect theshared objects and streams of the application through the Admin. Console, but I get a popup "Failed to make debug connection, please check that the application is in debug mode." Configuration files are unaltered from install, which means xPendingDebugConnections is set to 50, AllowDebugDefault is set to false, BUT in the serve side main.asc file I have "application.allowDebug = true;"Also, on a related note.
I can see that the Administration API lists the API itself, but there is vague to no mention at all where to connect first? I recall spotting somewhere suffixing the RTMP URL with something like "_fcs_debug" or something, but you can see how this frustrates me - I really don't like to google stuff that is supposed to be in the documentation The application instance usually accepts connections from regular non-admin clients, with proper parameters, which are irrelevant for admins unless these are users too (double membership, you can say)
Is it possible to connect to a SSH server through a Telnet connection?I am trying to connect to an SSH server from Flash, but there is no OpenSSH implementation available in ActionScript. I can successfully connect to a Telnet server and execute commands.
I am not able to make any changes on the machine with the SSH server. The machine I am connecting with is running Windows XP SP3. I am willing to get whatever software for the Windows machine that is necessary.
I just finished my installation of Adobe Flash Builder 4. I've definitely installed the most recent flash player from Adobe's website onto my computer. Also, in the run configurations of flash builder 4, I changed the source path from the .html file to the .swf file that is generated. I don't need to test it in a web browser, I just want to run the swf in flash player.
I only have 1 .as file in my actionscript project and there is no code written in it other than the package, class and main function statements. When I run the .html file, it runs fine, and debugs fine. However, when I switch the source path to the .swf file, it runs fine but doesn't debug!
When I debug it, the progress gets stuck at 57% and it says "Waiting for Adobe Flash Player to connect to debugger..." in the "Progress" tab. After a few minutes a window pops up that says:
"Failed to connect. The session has timed out. Ensure that you have run the application with debugging on and that I have the debugger version of flash player."
What can I do to fix this? I am on an intel Mac running OS 10.6.5.
I have my main timeline/scene we can call it A and then Scene B is exclusively for the gallery component. When I switch to Scene B, the gallery component functions as expected. I place a button on that scene that takes the user back to the Scene A (main timeline). I use the
I have built a fully functioning MP3 player but am struggling with the volume slider. I have read numerous posts and tutorials and think I have most of it down. I can get the slider itself to function, but extrapolating that into volume change is proving difficult.This is the code that I am executing when the slider is moved;
Code: function slidermove(evt:MouseEvent):void{ newpoint = new Object(); newpoint.x = MovieSlider.x[code]...
Code: TypeError: Error #1034: Type Coercion failed: cannot convert Object@30880f61 to flash.geom.Point. at mp3player_new_fla::MainTimeline/slidermove()
I have an mp3 player(AS3) loads in external mp3. I am trying to attach the flash local connection script to the mp3 script so that I can have the mp3 pop up in a smaller browser and it be controlled by the main homepage.
here is an example, [URL] select track 4, you will see it starts playing but also another small window pops up but its behind the main browser. this is then controlled with a 'Stop' and 'Play' function on the main home page.
thats what I am trying to create:
ok;
I have an example working for the flash local connection where you can drag a ball and it also moves in the smaller pop up window, see here: [URL]
So I have that working and I have the mp3 working, but I need to put both togther and cross over the flash local connection script and incorporate into the mp3 script.
What is the best way for me to send script information, I don't want to flood the thread with AS. You can download the flash lconnection files and the mp3 player from here!
I am creating a local app that is going to be a swf file. Is there anyway to check if the user has internet while they are using my app. I tried this, it works great if testing the movie from flash, however, It does not work when running the swf file independently. I'm guessing this is because it is strictly intended for air app.[code]...
I need to put togther regarding flash local connection? I have an mp3 player(AS3) loads in external mp3. I am trying to attach the flash local connection script to the mp3 script so that I can have the mp3 pop up in a smaller browser and it be controlled by the main homepage.
