ActionScript 3.0 :: Flash - Can Not Place The Eventlisteners To The Circle Class?

I am trying to learn working with multiple classes in AS3. I came across a problem which I can not solve or look up. I have searched the documentation but I can not find a clear sollution or answer.I have flashfile with a document class (main class). Within this class I use another class (circle class) to get a instance of a movieclip on the stage.
Now my problem is that I can not place the eventlisteners to the circle class. normally I would write something like this. addEventListener() but this doesnt work. But I really need a way to get this to work, because I want to make a mouse click event which must be linked to the circle to respond to it.

I'm attempting to place items along a circle, if i do:

(29 is the number of items)
Math.PI gets me the bottom half of the circle, but I'm attempting to get these items on the left half of the circle...

i got a circle inside a mc (116x116 px) and i want it to rotate continuous...if i do it in flash itself it works great the circle rotates nice on its own axis(tween) , but if i try it with actionscript the circle gets of its place and makes a big rotation

I want to place dynamic text, enteed by user, on an arc of a circle. I have written a code for it but not able to get exactly what i want. The text is rotated and placed on an arc but the rotation and placement is not that accurate. -Take a circle and place it in the center of a square scene.
-Make a rectangle and snap its left edge to the circle's center.
-Make another rectangle and snap its left edge to the right edge of the first rectangle.
How would you make it so movement doesn't happen at the registration point but on the whole arm. Say i ran a rotation script on the upper arm with +=1 and the lower arm with +=2. How would you place the parts, what format would they be converted to and what would the script format be. Multiple methods would be welcome of course!

i want to be able to call the function keyDowns() from my main file on ENTER_FRAME. However, i can't seem to get the syntax/definitions right. here's the function within class Hero:

I am writing an ActionScript class and I don't know where the standard place to put it is.In other words, where should I put the package in regards to the hierarchy? In flash.myname.mypackage? What is the standard naming convention? As you can probably tell, I haven't had a lot of experience writing ActionScript classes :)

how to make a counter clockwise circle using Senocular's Path class?
For example, if I start a half-circle on the left (9 o'clock) it will go to 6 o'clock then 3 o'clock. Right now it goes for 9 o'clock to 12 then 3.
Works great clockwise... but I can't get it to draw in the other direction. I tried messing with the math inside the class and it exploded!

I am making a circle countdown timer class. It works fine, however, the startAngle variable isn't really working the way I wanted it to. It seems to start at 45 degrees even though I have it set to 0. I want it to start at the top and work it way around like a clock. So it would start at 12 and end at 12. Here is my class

I want to draw a simple circle behind my class both center aligned, but I'm getting problems with the coordenates of my class/movieclip.Here is my class.

I think that my class/movieclip isn't at (100,50) because when I manually substitute 'auxx' and 'auxy' in drawCircle for 100 and 50, still not ok.

I would like to modify an Accordion class to suit my needs.Instead of simply extending Accordion, I would like to copy and paste the whole class as a start, with the new class name "MyAccordion", into the src folder; to gain the maximum freedom(I assume).
However, several problems encountered. For the "include "../core/Version.as";" error, I had solved by replacing it with a explicit Version static const string. But for the problems lead by the inheritance, e.g. AccordionHeader, etc, I found that there would be too many files to be edited when going down the stream. I suspect I mis-understand the whole logic of editing the class.

I am creating a small image gallery and I am creating the actual images dynamically. The images are stored via json and I am listing them underneath each other. No I can get all to work and they all load and position each other correctly underneath. What I would like to do is assign each image a addEventListener so that when clicked they pass the necessary details onto another function which will then display a larger image simple and basic but I am having trouble with adding the eventlistener. each one gets an eventlistener to it but when clicking on each one they all show the details from the last one. I want to know if there's a 'correct method' in removing a MovieClip off the stage. I am currently programming in simple OOP and I have 2 classes, for now lets relate them to Tree and Fruit. The fruit is the child of the tree.
When the fruit is being clicked on. the tree AND the fruit will fade off and I will perform a removechild only on the tree. So I'm now puzzled if just removing the tree would automatically remove everything including the fruit(without performing a proper tree.removeChild(fruit)) and all the eventlisteners attached to fruit?
If not, must I perform remove child on every single MC/Sprite I have added onto tree/fruit for the best performance? Would like to find out how you go about doing it the 'correct way'.

I'm developing a game atm, and I need some help on the mathematics/coding of colliding circles (and their change in x/y speed). What i need to know is how to calculate the direction and speed a circle has after colliding with a static (non-moving) circle. I know how to detect a collision between the two, but I'm not sure about the maths I need to give the circle the right speed and direction after the collision
If i do know how far away the two circle-points (in the middle of each) are to each other (in both x and y coords) would it be easy for me to find the new speed and direction of the large circle in the example above? I know that I somehow should use the angles to pretend the circle hits a flat "wall" (as it only hits one point), and then calculate the new speed/direction. My only problem is that I'm not sure how to decide the angle of this flat "wall" and how x and y speeds should change when colliding with a wall that is angled. Does anyone here have any insight, links or tips on how I can du this?

I`m working on a app that you can draw lines.....like circles, rectangles... my problem is when a user draw a circle for example....i wanna be able to paint (change color) inside of this circle. I`ve tried working on Shapes with cacheAsBitmap = true and Bitmaps with BitmapData but it doesn`t seens to work.

how to make a dynamic unfilled and filled circle. that will take input from a slider to dertermine how much of the circle is drawn. I wanted to use this for a preloader. Unlike the author I would like to use it inside of a document class. I am getting 1061: Call to a possibly undefined method createEmptyMovieClip through a reference with static type document. and 1120: Access of undefined property circ1. The second is caused from the first. How would I get this to work in my document class?

Trying to do circle circle collisions via math which I'm really having trouble with. One circle (player) just moves from keyboard. The ball reacts to the player. All the code shown is in my players class and I passed in a reference to the ball.
On my enterframe I have:

I'm working on a game where users can win buttons/badges as awards. I estimate there will be around 500 awards, in all.I want to allow the users to sell their duplicate/unwanted badges to the bank and buy new ones from the bank.I am showing the badges in multiple awards frames. Below the badges, I show the count, along with a "Buy" and "Sell" button.My question is: What's the best way to handle SO MANY buy & sell buttons? Is there a way around coding 1000 eventListeners and 1000 eventHandlers?
One possible solution is to name my buttons, incrementally, like "buy_mc1", "buy_mc2", etc. Then do a loop to create listeners for this["buy_mc" + i]. However, I would then have to make VERY sure that I link these back correctly to the awards.Currently, I have an "award_mc" field in my database, which stores the name of the movieclip in my .fla. From that, I can access related assets, like the count field, like: this[db.award_mc + "_count"].txt.Unfortunately, this method does not lend itself well to looped access.Maybe I can create an array of movieclip names that are in synch with the buy/sell buttons. For example:
myArray = {aMissionAward, anotherAward, ubernessAward};
My buttons would be: buy_0, buy_1, buy_2, etc.
When someone clicks a button, I can link buy_2 to "ubernessAward", then look for "ubernessAward" on the database.How can I get the number from the button, though? Even if I can loop through setting up the eventListeners, will I have to set up individuatl eventHandlers to process the correct index number? I was not able to get this to work with buttons on the stage. Apparently, buttons are a static class. MovieClips are dynamic, so I was able to get this to work by using MovieClips. Here's what I did:
Added 3 MovieClips to the stage.
Named them "mc0", "mc1", and "mc2".
Add this AS3 code:

I have a simple three ring animation where the three rings fade in and out.On the stage the rings are a perfect circle, in the publish preview they look fine, but once I publish the SWF, all of the sudden the rings are not perfectly round anymore.
They are almost perfect but right at the top and bottom there is just a small portion which has sort of "flattened out"...
