ActionScript 3.0 :: Loader Won't Load On All Pages

I am creating a website that has four different pages with two different pages that load pictures into a loader. Right now, everything is loading fine, but when I go to the frames (i.e. other pages of the website) where the loader doesn't exist, and then I go BACK to one of the previous pages, the loader doesn't display anything when I press the buttons. The dynamic text box doesn't load either. I am using two different arrays to load it. Also, I had to put the Actions on the second frame of the whole scene for some reason. Is there some rule about having buttons on one frame load things into a loader that is on another frame?[code]...

Each menu goes to different movieclips inside the .swf file. and at the same time i want to load the corresponding html file when i click the menu button and place the html content into the bottom area of the main html page without refreshing the html page.

I got this very strange behavior from FlashPlayer debugger 10.1 r82. When I call loader.load method, no ADDED event is dispatched to the loader object. But if I open the file and call loader.loadBytes instead, an ADDED event is dispatched to the loader object. I suspect the ADDED event is dispatched because the content is being set as the child of Loader object, but why in the other case it is not dispatched?

I have a main "shell" swf which, by clicking several buttons, will load/unload various external swfs into a Placeholder_mc which resides on the main timeline in Shell.swf In the documentation and tutorials I've seen a couple different methods, and I'm not sure I quite understand the difference, or at least the reason you would use one over the other...In the 1st method, you can just add the Loader object using the addChild() method:

myLoader.load(myURLRequest);
Placeholder_mc.addChild(myLoader);
This will apparently add myLoader to the display list once it has completely loaded.The 2nd method, you supposedly can add the Loader.content; however, it appears you can only do this once the content has completed loading, so you need to incorporate an event handler with the contentLoaderInfo object:

I had a flash template with nav button menu and sub button menu, in flash player the menu and sub menu works for different pages, but sub menu do not work in web page, whatever page goes, it always load sub menu for home.

I've just started flash a few weeks back, and have been fiddling with it ever since, as i have to make a site for my yr12 project...
I wanted to know the best way to load the pages in my movie. Its sort of a complicated site. What happens is, a slider (containing the nav buttons) moves left and right across the screen according to a variable. When the buttons is pressed, it will also change the background, and loadMovie into the main screen.
Now my question is, is it best to have the 4 pages on the main timeline, and the movie moves to a frame label depending on which button is pressed, or have all the movieclips called and retreated according? Hard thing is, if the menu slider is on the left, when a button is pressed it goes to the frame label right? Well, if that particular frame has the keyframes set at the right already, it'll jump to the left before sliding to the right....

I have this youtube video code.. Works great.. Minus One big thing..When I go to the video page, the youtube videos load great, but they stay up, even over other pages... They never go away once you navigate to the Video Page...Here is the code, How can I make them go away when I click to a new page? I took out youtube links out cause I have fewer than 50 posts..

I've searched the threads to find something that may help but as i'm not too good with AS i'm not sure what Is relevant to what I need. So i'm hoping someone can put it simply for me.
I have a pattern in the background of each page on my website which sits on the Index page. When each new page is loaded, on release of the relevant button, the background pattern should change colour. I have 9 pages to load therefore it changes colour 9 times.
What sort of code should I use? I'm not familiar with changing colours in AS!

When i try to load an external swf file using Loader.Load(); The swf starts playing even before the init event is fired. Is there any way to stop the swf from playing atleast until the init event or complete event is fired?

i am working on a xml flash website that contains six pages it is a cooking book website when i go to the desserts page for example i have 16 text boxes as recipes names ( they get there titles from the main xml file ) when i click on any of them it will open a new page just like the readmore page (i copied & edited putting inside it (recipe title, recipe details & an image for the recipe), now my problem is .. i want to load a new image for every recipe i got on the website ( in a movieclip ).. but till now i could not figure it out, my question ia " can i load an image from xml file that will be specific for the readmore pages?" did anybody use the readmore page for about 70 -80 times and was able to change the image as many times as the website need???

I have continued to find a resolution and have had no luck. My website has 5 flash buttons (tabs) to take you to a new html page. Each time you go to a page the button seems to have to re-load creating a "white blinking" inside the cell. The background of the fla file is black and I have the table cell background set to black hoping thatbut to no avail. I thought once a swf is loaded it won't have to re-load. The swf files are the same on all pages

Is there any workaround to load in complete html pages with LoadVars ?
I have this client that wants to update some pages (just adding and removing text and pictures), but I would love to do it in action scripting and have him update an external file.
Now I could tell him to remove the tags from <html> to <body> and from </body> to </html>, save it as text file and add a variable (like myText at the top of his file, but that wouldn't make things much easier for him.
He'll probably start to complain that it would have been easier if I'd made it in html instead of flash
how to display an html page inside of flash ? (except for opening browser windows and loading the page in that window ofcourse - that isn't good enough)

I am building a flash application using flex. From time to time, I see an issue in IE 7 and 8 where the user logs into the site and the browser content pane is completely grey and the entire page (html, javascript and flash) won't load until the user clicks the X (Stop) button next the address bar. As soon as the X is clicked, the html loads and then the swf file loads immediately.
This doesn't happen for me or any other developers on the project so it is very hard to diagnose. The users are all using the latest flash player. The only difference between our setups that I can think of is that we have the debug version of flash player and they probably do not.

The page transition work fine after Respected tacos " changed the code but while transition between the pages if I quickly move the mouse and clicked the other button the pages do not load as expected.I tested several times and with lower frame rates this problem can be watched.

Just using a simple loader to load in another swf. I have added a rectangle to my original swf, and converted it to a mc. This is going to be used as a holder. The code is

Where "this" relates to the movie clip holder object it is currently in. My question is why the top left corner of the loaded swf is always placed in the center of the holder, and not at the top left corner of the holder? Is this a default action or something?

I have a AS2 loader (buil in AS2 that is) that automatically loads external swf's.And I have a sfw build in AS3.Is it possible for my loader to still load this swf file?In order for the loader to work I have to add "_root.nextswf();" at the end of every swf file.However I know that in AS3 the alnguage is different. I'm trying out a page-flip program that tells me to create the pages as jpegs within a folder named "pages" in the Library. When I try to run it, it tells me it can't find the jpegs. I can get it to work locally by including the full URL (i.e., "...My Documentsedinnerpartiesimagesp3-large.jpg), but I know this isn't embedded in the swf file.

I'm a french student (first year) in a graphic school and I make a project in Flash.I simply need to make few 'infinite' (never ending) Swf's suceed. In the timeline (which is used as a frame controller) I call the Swf's successively. Here is the code and the screenshot of the timeline:

I'm using a function that have a loader the loads an image and put it on stage.When i try to call the function again with a different image, i can only see the first image,From what i remember that image is there but i need to remove that last one that i added to the stage but i cant remember how to do it.Note that in order to load the images i use addChildAt(object, 0) because i need the image to be in the back of the stack.
