I use Loader to load two picture,such as 1.jpg and 2.jpg,like follows:
_p1=new Pic("1.jpg");_p2=new Pic("2.jpg");
Then I add the two picture into a Sprite,like follows:
Sprite _g=new Sprite();
_g.addChild(_p1);
_g.addChild(_p2);
Then I draw a circle as _g mask,such as _c
_g.mask=_c;
I want to realize following effect.First appear 2.jpg,and during the mask _c radius is from 0 to 300,the picture 1.jpg is appearing synchronously in mask _c.

i was trying to load a picture in to a loader :
ActionScript Code:
var url:String = e.currentTarget.link;
var request:URLRequest = new URLRequest(url);
[Code]....
and the only error was : SecurityError: Error #2000: No active security context.
i found the problem !: this error occurred if the xml link is wrong or if the picture is not on called link.
The question is: this is a cs5 bag or i miss something ?

I'm having trouble passing the url for a users facebook profile picture to a Loader() variable. I'm using a PHP file to get around the security and from the debug I made, it shows that I'm getting the URL fine, but the Loader runs the error event listener. Here is what my facebookProxy.php file looks like;
<?php
$path=$_GET['path'];
header("Content-Description: Facebook Proxied File");

I'm currently working on a project that contains a lot of data, about 14.000 records. This means an xml file of about 3mb. Now my question is: Should I use the xml file to load all the data at once, or should I use a webservice, that provides the data when I need it? Keep in mind that I'm new to webservices. And if I'm going to use a webservice: How do I store the data, in a mySQL database?How fast is a webservice?

I'm building an Adobe Air app that needs to load external images from different webservers. I have my basic loader function set up, but I encountered one server that wouldn't let me load it's images. it gave me the following error[url]...
After that I got in contact with the server's manager and he told me he had been working on some basisc hotlink protection for his images. He also told me that I could subvert this by supplying[url]... as the referrer when building the request headers.
First of all I found no trace of hotlink protection with online testapplications for hotlink protection. Secondly I have no idea how to set up what he told me with a simple Loader class function.[code]...

I recently used the loadMovie action to load a .swf file to a target in the movie which it was being called from. Then I tried calling a picture to another target in the movie, but it did not load the picture as intended. I read about it on my book, but it didn't seem to work. Is there anyways on calling a picture into a target in the movie without placing the picture inside an swf file?

I'm looking at a tutorial to display placemarks using a KML file on a flex application. I'm using IGN API (openscales) in flex project. The example works perfectly (http:/[url].......
<os:KML url="http://www.parisavelo.net/velib.kml"
proxy="http://openscales.org/proxy.php?url="
numZoomLevels="20"
style="{Style.getDefaultCircleStyle()}"/>
But when I'm hosting the same kml file on my server like that :
<os:KML url="http://www.cycom.org/velib.kml"
proxy="http://openscales.org/proxy.php?url="
numZoomLevels="20"
style="{Style.getDefaultCircleStyle()}"/>
Placemarks don't show up on the map. I tried to host the kml file on different hosts but that doesn't change.

"page.swf" is nice working SWF file that load list.xml & picture.jpg. I stored those files on folder data. I create another SWF called "index.swf" and i stored it outside folder data. When i try to load "page.swf" locally using Loader Class from "index.swf", the compiler errors said "can't load list.xml & picture.jpg". Because index.swf searched in it's directory not in folder data.

My code doesn't work.I use flash 8 (AS 2.0). When I click a button, I want it to load another flash file but not into the same parent/web page. I need the file to load in it's own window.
on (release) {
loadMovie("MyAccountPage.swf", "_blank");
}
After this, I still do not get a respond when I test run the script.

I'm making a loader.swf to load a menu.swf file. I'm done this dozens of times the same way and it has worked perfect. But this time...when I load my menu and trace it out, the loader keeps loading and reloading the menu.swf infinitley and I don't know why.
The only thing I've discovered is that my menu.swf file will load just fine IF I delete all of the actionscript from it. If there is even a comment in there the infinite loop starts again.

I have a json file on my server.[URL].. If I type the url into a browser I get a page not found error.
If I set the url of a http service to the path of the json file the httpservice wont load it.
Is it possible to load a json file in this way or does the json file have to be the result of a server page request eg: [URL]..

I'm very new to flash - I'm trying to use a pre-loader that loads an external SWF file. Its working except the percentage in the bar is actually reflecting how much of the entire page is loaded, not how much of just the flash banner is loaded. The result is that the percentage bar is still visible over the top of the flash banner when it begins to play and the percentage bar continues to load until the whole page is loaded.

What I want to do is load the contents of a file and sent it to an mxmlc compiler as an argument parameter. I can load and read the contents of a file using loadfile and setting a property value say propery="filecontent". But the problem is I can pass it into the mxmlc (flex) compiler. I'm not able to pass it (tried with ${filecontent}) to the arg line. Its gives an error: "value contains unknown token 'filecontent'" How will I pass the contents of the file as a argument value to a compiler argument? Edit: The problem is with the include-resource-bundles arguments. When using command line it works. But using ant build doesn't. Do we need to manually provide the name of resource bundles by generating the resource file?
<exec executable="${MXMLC}" dir="${APP_ROOT}/src" >
<arg line="-locale 'en_US'"/>
.. .. ..
<arg line="-include-resource-bundles

which doesn't work and gives and error -> command line: Error: configuration variable 'include-resource-bundles' value contains unknown token 'resources'

In a very simple first AIR application (I'm using Flash Builder 4.5), I am trying to accomplish the following on my MacBook:
Read a local file (JSON format) into the AIR app. Parse through the file. Display some selected contents in a grid.
That's it.
I've found an example that does some simple JSON parsing in Flex, but the problem is that it loads the JSON source from a remote web site.
So do I need to load any file-specific libraries to make this work in AIR? Or can I simply refer to the file by using the Mac file-path? I just want the local file to be the JSON source. The parsing is already taken care of.
