ActionScript 2.0 :: Moved Mouse / Clicked Other Button / Pages Do Not Load As Expected
Nov 14, 2010
The page transition work fine after Respected tacos " changed the code but while transition between the pages if I quickly move the mouse and clicked the other button the pages do not load as expected.I tested several times and with lower frame rates this problem can be watched.
I have a very simple piece of code but it has one very annoying bug. When I press the button a second time, the code doesn't work. The only way to get the code to work is by moving the mouse a tiny bit, or moving the mouse off the button and back on. make a button that can be clicked many times without moving the mouse?
tarting a script to make my object move to the coordinates of where i click on my mouseand if possible i would like to make it animate to each coordinate like its moving there not all of sudden jumps there when you click somewhere.
I am building a flash application using flex. From time to time, I see an issue in IE 7 and 8 where the user logs into the site and the browser content pane is completely grey and the entire page (html, javascript and flash) won't load until the user clicks the X (Stop) button next the address bar. As soon as the X is clicked, the html loads and then the swf file loads immediately.
This doesn't happen for me or any other developers on the project so it is very hard to diagnose. The users are all using the latest flash player. The only difference between our setups that I can think of is that we have the debug version of flash player and they probably do not.
Okay, in as3 when you click, the object on the highest layer will be clicked on. I want someone to press the space bar and have the objects on the screen to check to see if it is touching a point.So I first tried hittest...
if (this.hitTest(myPoint)){ play(); }
Now the problem was objects behind other ones were thinking they were being "clicked" on.
I have created a website which loads external swfs as pages onto the main stage on the click of a button. I am using Flash CS3 and Actionscript 3.0. Here is my code:
have one mc called mc1, and when the mouse cursor is over it, mc2 is sent to a certain frame and the _alpha set to 0. The problem I have is that when the user continued with the onPress (pressing the left mouse button) after the cursor goes outside of that mc1, mc2 does not become invisible and what I need is to do that, when the user goes out with the cursor of the mc1, the mc2 becomes invisible even if the left button of the mouse is pressed. And now don't detect the onRollOut if the button of the mouse is pressed.
i need some action script for a button to load another swf file when clicked. new window needs to be at the same size as the swf movie and without toolbars etc. also need a similar code to load swf file but to go on a button on a html page.
I'm trying to load a .swf when a button is clicked on. This is my actionscript:
on (press) { loadMovie (exper.swf); }
It is in the same folder and I even loaded it into my library to try that.
I get this error when I test my movie, but I'm not sure what it means...:/
**Error** Scene=Scene 1, layer=navi, frame=1:Line 2: Wrong number of parameters; loadMovie requires between 2 and 3. loadMovie (exper.swf); Total ActionScript Errors: 1 Reported Errors: 1
I am making a flash website were the logo will start out at the bottom and play a animation when someone clicks on a button(there will be about five so I don't which one they will click on), the logo will move to the sides. after this animation plays this one time I need to never be able to play again while they are in the website..
I have a menu set up with several buttons (on the left side of the screen), each of which loads an external swf (on the right side of the screen). Within some of these swfs are more buttons to load other swfs, and the menu on the left remains active while another swfs is playing.What I want is to unload the current swf whenever a button is clicked and load the new on in the same spot. So before I was using addChildAt to get the external swf's at a certain level, and then removeChildAt to take away whichever swf it is and then add the next one. That didn't stop the sound, so I switched it to unloadAndStop and set up a function that unloadAndStops each individual swf, like this:[code]
That function runs every time a new swf is called to remove the previous one.Now I know that's not what I should do since I'm effectively using a method on objects that aren't in the display list, and it's apparent since it messes up the text later on in the timeline. But I don't know any other way to get everything to unload and to stop all the sound. It would be a headache to make specific paths for the buttons within swf's, but I don't even know what I'd do about the buttons in the main timeline that don't know what swf is playing on the right.I've searched lots of different forums for this one, for something kinda like unloadAndStop and kinda like removeChildAt, so I'm thinking I need to reorganize this project somehow
I have parent movieclip and in that many different children movieclips
What i want to do is when i CLICK, i want to detect which movieclip it has clicked and call corresponding function (defined by onpress event) of that movieclip.
I am developing a simple galaga clone for my site, its at [URL] . You will notice the controls work fine in firefox, opera, safari, chrome, etc. However, in IE, the controls are only triggered if the mouse cursor is hovering directly over the player ship.
The playership object is created in the main document class which passes a reference to the stage to the playership class.
private var ourShip:playerShip = new playerShip(stage, ourHUD);
Which is then added to the stage from within the document class (gameMain)
stage.addChild(ourShip);
The playership class then monitors the mouseX and reacts accordingly. The code for the ship controls which are linked to the enter_frame eventhandler is
Code: public function controlShip(e:Event):void { var a1 = stageRef.mouseY - e.target.y; var b1 = stageRef.mouseX - e.target.x; var radians1 = Math.atan2(a1,b1);
I want to dynamically create and put some Image (mx.controls.Image) objects on a Canvas and I want them then to be able to be repositioned by the user via the mouse. Can this be done? Note, I am not looking for drag and drop. I just want to change the X and Y coordinates of Images with the mouse.
Is it possible to persist the look of a 'hovered' hyperlink even after the mouse has moved away from it? I want to keep the user's attention on the hyperlink -- or at least have them able to see what it was, standing out from the rest of the text -- for a few seconds after they've left it. Ideally it would fade slowly back to normal
I have a simple flight simulator animation. When the mouse is moved over a movieclip (mcHitArea) on the stage the code below moves 2 indicator lines as well as 2 jet images and the background. The problem is that when the mouse runs off, say, the left side of mcHitArea, that mouse location is recorded. Then if the mouse is brought back in from the other side of mcHitArea the images are rotated way off course. These images never come back to center.
I'm basically looking to create a screensaver within the flash file i'm using. So if the person doesn't move the mouse for say a minute, actionscript will detect this and play a movie ( screensaver type one )It's within a digital application and the client wants a built in one rather than making a proper one.
im creating a portfolio website that primarily uses flv videos for graphics. For example, if you click to go to another section of the website a video plays that actually walks you to that area. What I want to do is be able to load a different video when a button is clicked in the exact same place as the old one. I currently have a working class that plays a video
[Code]...
I want to some how be able to change the variable flvName on the click of a button on my stage and recall the class to change the video. If you can think of an alternate way of doing what i need to do id love to hear it.
I've got an SWF that'll be viewed via a webpage, that loads a choice of 7 different web pages/SWFs depending on buttons clicked.The problem is these files are quite big and take a good few seconds to load each, so for each SWF, I created a progress bar on frame 1, that then loads frame 2 (where all the code and content is) once it's ready. The code I used is as follows:[code]The problem is as you can see from is that it takes ages to load the loader! So I end up with a blankurl... screen then the loading bar, then the content. Making the loading screen pretty useless!
I would like to make a portion of a site that is stimulated from the mouse being moved. So, as the user moves their mouse I want the timeline to change (for an image will load on each new timeline). So, it will be kind of like a flip book that is activated by the mouse moving. Hopefully that makes sense. Each scene a person will be moving (new picture in a new frame) as the mouse moves up or down.
i have a fish that follows the mouse position. Im working out the angle and distance it is from the mouse cursor and telling it to swim in that direction. But when he gets there he flickers back and forwards. How can i get him to rest/settle at the position until the mouse is moved again.
I have created a website with one flash animation banner.The banner .swf has 5 menus. Each menu goes to different movieclips inside the .swf file. and at the same time i want to load the corresponding html file when i click the menu button and place the html content into the bottom area of the main html page without refreshing the html page.
I have wrtitten some code that draws a couple of lines with changing alpha and width whenever the mouse is moved. I need to convert this code to AS3 so that I can use it in conjunction with some video tracking.
Code:
var speed:Number = 100; var myNumber:Number; var myMax:Number = 50;[code]...
