View 2 RepliesI designed image viewer and the main functionality of the code is written in an external class - AS file. The connection between the fla file and the external class work ok. In the fla file I added some movie clips as buttons and when I press them, the external pictures are loading successfully.
A) When the picture is loaded, I am using a tween , and the picture is moving inside the screen.For this I call inputfade() function from the external as.
B) When I choose another picture to be loaded, I want the current picture to move outside from the screen, and the new loaded picture to move inside (same as explained in A).For the current picture to move outside I used outputfade() function, and for new loaded picture to move inside I am using the same first function inputfade()
Here is the main code:
//moving inside
public function inputfade(){
var easeType = mx.transitions.easing.Bounce.easeOut;
[code]....
I have a problem with the part, when the picture is moving outside from the screen (when outputfade() is finished,) I can not add new coming tween. (- I can not call any new tween function).It seems that any code related to tween (exept yoyo)or other type of mc motion is blocked after after finishing the function outputfade(). I also add with some trace (test); after finishing the inputfade function and the trace work. Also interesting this.yoyo() function works as well after finishing outputfade, which is not same case with calling inputfade();
I've created a movie clip. This movie clip contains a strip of images put together. I use actionscript 3.0 to tween it into position every time a arrow button is pressed. The green space is a mask so it can't be seen until it enters that space. I am only focusing on the right arrow button at the moment.[code]...

ranDistX = Math.floor(Math.random()*(20-(-20+1)))+-20;
ranDistY = Math.floor(Math.random()*(20-(-20+1)))+-20;
var humansMoving = new Tween(_root["human"+i], "_x", Linear, _root["human"+i]._x, _root["human"+i]._x+ranDistX, 2, true);
[Code] ....
The tween works only once. I need it so when the tween is finished, it does the same tween (with a different random number (different position)), however after the first two tweens (x and y) have finished the movieclips just sit there.
I don't know much about flash.. I've created a MC with tomatoes falling.. when the MC repeats itself, which I want it to, looks too "rough". I am hoping to make the transition a little smoother.. I've read a little about mathematical random function, but it looks so complicated.Here is the flash: http:[url].....
View 4 RepliesI'm trying to find a function that will repeat my Rotational tween function. I found the yoyo() function to be what i want to do but i don't want the tween to change the rotation to CCW while originally moving CW. Basically i want the animation to move CW at a steady rate continuously.
I'm using the following code at the moment, i'm not too sure if this is the most suitable code for this situation, maybe im off track.
From my thoughts, i assumed that i would need to put the stars function in a onEnterFrame to repeat the animation and change yoyo() to continueTo() function. or maybe some sort of if statement in the stars function?
ActionScript Code:
import mx.transitions.Tween;
import mx.transitions.easing.*;
var stars:Tween = new Tween(ring, "_rotation", Regular.easeInOut, 0, 360, 4, true);

I am making a script so I can have a dynamic menu, this menu loads external buttons at random 8 at a time, and unloads and reloads every 25 seconds.[code]...
View 5 Repliesthere an actionscript to make an image repeat for background purposes???I am used to using HTML and just letting the background repeat - is there a way to do this in flash? a code or something? and also, if there is... what are some attributes
View 2 RepliesWe want to move the our player Upwards.("here's a working code")... But you gotta continue to click click click, or roll off roll on and the player will move, i promise the deal is, who the hell wants to do that??[code] What can we do, to continue this mouse down / click.. (doubtfully use click). .roll over maybe but we want that player to continue to move with out moves up 1 click again moves up 1.
View 8 Repliesi'm using this code to for a button to make a MC "kids1" gradually scale to 300%, in 5% increments, but it only scales it 5% then stop, does anyone know how to make this function repeat until _yscale=300?
Code:
on (release) {
if (_root.kids1._yscale<300) {
_root.kids1._yscale+= +5;
}
}
im trying to make a box that will bounce slowly between 2 and repeat ( i hope that makes sense 0_o) so far the code i have is
import flash.events.Event;
var speed:int = 3;
var hit:Boolean = false;
[code]....
but one it hits wall 1 it moves 3 pixels to the right and stops =/ i tried changing the if(hit == true) to
if(ball.hitTestObject(wall1)){
ball.x += speed;
}
but it does the same thing.
I have two text boxes as outputs: "textDisplay1" & "textDisplay2".When I click the button "test" these outputs display a number between 0 and 1. That is what I want and I am happy with that.[code]The problem I am having is, I do not want the same number in both boxes. If textDisplay1 displays the number 0, I want textDisplay2 to display the number 1. I do not want both boxes to have either a 0 at the same time or a 1 at the same time.[code]But that just makes it randomly guess a number again which sometimes is the same number.Can I make it if textDisplay1 = 1, make 1 unpickable by textDisplay2? Which would only leave the 0.
View 3 RepliesI am creating a thumbnail scroller and I have everything set to work. The last final issue I'm having is this:
The scroller displays 25 items.
8 at a time.
When you page left/page right it scrolls to the next(or previous) 8 thumbs in the list.
This is what we want to happen:
Once the final (25th) thumb is reached it starts over on the first thumb again and we are back at 1. So that it becomes an endless loop.[code]...
I need to make the whole ad repeat X number of times and then stop on the last frame (it always stops in the first frame for me) then I need to link the clickable button to go to a website when clicked. [URL]

View 2 RepliesI'm making a "master movie" for an assignment and I'm stuck right now. What I've got is an Intro page that will serve at the Parent.swf to load 4 other child swf's upon a mouse click. The problem is I have a theater stage where I tweened an animation to make it appear the curtain on the stage is going up but once it reaches it maximum height....the tween abruptly stops. I want it to HOLD there until a user clicks a button.
How would I make this happen? Here is the page in question: [URL]...
I'm a print designer who is getting his butt kicked by actionscript 3. It's probably very simple, but I can't figure it out. I need to either "refresh" or "repeat" a tween. The problem is that the user can only mouse over twice without the tweens getting screwy while going to and playing the frame.
greenBall.addEventListener ( MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, handleMouseClickthree);
function handleMouseClickthree( pEvent: MouseEvent ): void
{
if(pEvent.target == greenBall)
{
gotoAndPlay(2);
}
}
i want to make random number between 1 to 10 without repeat number twice or more i use this function to make random
function getRandomNumber(min:Number, max:Number):Number
{
var randomNumber:Number = Math.round(Math.random() * (max - min) + min);
return randomNumber;
}
getRandomNumber(1, 10);
import fl.transitions.Tween;
import fl.transitions.easing.*;
var homemanTween:Tween = new Tween(homeman_mc, "x", Elastic.easeOut, 1000, 50, 3, true);//frist tween
var adobeTween:Tween = new Tween(adobe_mc, "alpha", Regular.easeOut, 0, 1, 3, true);//second tween
how can I animate the 2nd tween after 3 seconds when 1st tween stops.
Is it possible to make a motion tween (or something) where as the page would start blank and then writing would just start to be laid down..... affectively, scribbling onto the page?
View 3 RepliesflashCs4I have an owl in 3 parts, body & 2 wings all are symbols (movie clips)I have the bird flapping from making motion tweens of the wingsI would like to connect the bird....make it fly across the stage & increase in size (free transform)
View 1 RepliesI'm trying to make an animation and it seems like an impossible task. I'm not a beginner, and this is harder than it first seems to be.So this is what I need: to make a tween between a partial small circle to a big circle. What I mean is I want to use the Oval Primitive tool and on frame 1 I'll have a circle (radius 100px) with Start Angle: 0 and End Angle: 230 and on frame 50 I'll need the same 100px circle with Start Angle: 0 and End Angle: 300.
View 1 RepliesI've set a hover on and hover off tween to a certain element in flash, where you hover over an element, and an informational window slides in off the bottom, and when you hover off it slides back. Hover, when I hover off before the hover on animation is over, the given object jumps to the end of the first animation and back. How do I make the animation ease in and out when someone hovers over something?
function initialPlacement() {
block1.x = (-814);
block1.y = (stage.stageHeight - 100);
} initialPlacement();
tension.addEventListener(MouseEvent.ROLL_OVER,hover1);

I'm importing swf files to each button from my site. The problem is they're making a heavy entry and i would like to make them softer with fade in/out code. Didn't find the mc tween code for AS3.
View 3 Replieshow to make your own custom tween. Generally we can make tween from a specific point to another specific point, but in my tutorial you can make tween from your current place to a new place.
View 1 RepliesI'm using the native Tween class and have a several tweens which make a button, when clicked, fly up into the corner of the screen. Then some time later yoyo() that tween to bring the button back to where it started.
The problem is that we have a replay button that replays from certain points on the timeline.
I want that if on the "screen" (not flash screens just our term for the range of frames that correspond to the timeline between those certain replay points) the user clicks replay that the button will always play the tween backward, i.e., flyout from the upper corner back to the "start" point.
Since there is no reverse() method or playInReverse() the only choice seems to be yoyo(). And one would think that fforward() followed by a yoyo() would make it always play backward. But I can't make it seem to work.
"Is there a way to ensure that a tween, regardless of how it last player or is still playing, can be made to go to the end and then play backwards?"
I have made this animation, please click here to see it.

However am not happy with it because its not very smooth. I will like my animation like this [URL].
I'm trying to make a tween to a picture so that it zooms out and back in to the center and back. There appears an error of placement depending on z coordinate: the picture moves a little bit towards top-left corner of the stage. How can I make it move to the center of the stage?
View 3 Replies i am trying to do is make a simple text animation, i need the text to go from small to large and fade. I figured how to make the text move with a tween and fade with the alpha, but i cannot get it to go from small to large and back to small.Here is an example of what i mean...

I wanted to make my My text tween to a different color upon rollover. I *think* i understand the code I should use to do this, but I'm stuck on what to call the class... I was going to set it up like this...
var Bcolor:Tween = new Tween(b_logo, "???", Strong.easeOut, ?, ?, ?, true);
So as you can see I'm not sure what i would put in the quotes to affect color, or what values I would use?
