Php :: Reading RAW Data From A Flash POST Request ( Images )?

Dec 8, 2009

I'm basically interacting with a third party API flash file to send HTTP POST requests to my server. know I'm on somewhat the right path because it requires a crossdomain.xml file, and before I added that part nothing in the POST variables was showing up, however since I added that file there are 4 variables that are set, these POST variables are sent by the application to give me basic information about the file.. but I actually need to read the RAW POST data to actually save the image being sent by the Flash.I'm aware there are 3 ways...$GLOBALS['HTTP_RAW_POST_DATA'] $HTTP_RAW_POST_DATA which is probably the same as the firstfile_get_contents('php://input')For whatever reason, neither of these "work". By "work" I mean they're not being set, when I var dump them I get nothing.

Could it be that there's a setting in php.ini that I need to set, or perhaps the Flash application is truly not sending the actual image? I think it's doing the right thing, because it's a semi popular API and it's used by a couple other sites so I'm pretty sure it's right on their end.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Flash File Reading An External Text File For The Content?

May 16, 2005

I turn to you for help, dear sweet Kirupa Forumites. First, let me explain the problem: I have a flash file reading an external text file for the content. Everything works perfectly for nearly everyone - you click a menu button, and the content text comes up fine. However, a couple of people have found that the text shows up as "undefined". I have checked the player versions of the people where it doesn't work, and it is the same as for those where it does work, so that ain't the problem.

I don't understand why it works perfectly for nearly everyone, but a small number of people have this "undefined" text problem. It seems to be a problem with loading the external text file, but I don't know why. I have a main flash movie, and load the text in the first frame, using the following:

var my_content = new LoadVars();
my_content.load("content.txt");
my_content.onLoad = function(success){
if (success){

[Code]...

I then have a couple of dynamic text boxes in the main movie - one called ErrorText (for displaying an error message to the user) and one called ContentText (for displaying the content). I use an external menu swf which jumps to a specific frame in the main movie, depending on which button is clicked. Actionscript on the main movie frame for the first button does the following, with the other frames similarly configured:

ContentText.htmlText = my_content.content1;
stop();

My external text file is properly configured (content1=blah blah&content2=other blah blah) etc.

Does anyone have any advice on how I can solve this particular weird problem??

So I created a dynamic scrolling text box, loaded in an external txt document containing all the right HTML tags for flash. But for some reason the flash cuts off the text. It won't show all the text I have. I noticed that it seems to be cutting it off in SOME (not all) areas where I have a hyperlink.

I added a flash magazine, but what it only does, is keeping my website loading hard and jerky. so i wanted to put a simple gallery with 6 images, and zoom so the user can read the newspapers images well, like 200% zoom so the text would be visible to the viewer. When it clicks on any of the pictures or a separate button,the newspaper image goes zoomed like 200% and, when the mouse is out the image zooms out, or click on the separate button and the image zooms out as its initial state.

Flex :: Reading Server URL From AS3 For Cairngorm Configuration

Aug 30, 2011

I need to read the URL that the browser shows when a Flex application is called because I would to reference it in a mxml configuring Cairngorm remote objects. The goal I would reach is to automatically configure Cairngorm services from environment to environment (dev,test,qa,prod) without statically set the value in the mxml or other ActionScript. Since the Flex client is deployed in the root of the war of the webapp, it's enough to read where the browser is pointing.

I have written a class that is doing so:
public class ConfigServer {
public function ConfigServer() {
var loaderUrl:String = FlexGlobals.topLevelApplication.loaderInfo.loaderURL;
var urlToSet:String = <loaderURL-string-manipulation>;
_serverUrl = urlToSet;
[Code] .....

But whenever I call the ConfigServer constructor and for every (known to me) technique I applied (statics or singletons or public ro so on), I have always had the same error:
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
at org.fao.fapda.util::ConfigServer()[C:devworkspacesFAPDA runkFAPDA-clientsrcorgfaofapdautilConfigServer.as:8]

Cairngorm services initialization is done as follow:
<fx:Declarations><cut/>
<services:FAPDAServices id="services"/>
<cut/></fx:Declarations>
And the problem is that FAPDAServices.mxml is read runs before FlexGlobals is valid. Is there a point in the Flex Application lifecycle where such loaderURL is defined so that I can construct ConfigServer? When in startup events that initialization in done?

Actionscript 3 :: Reading Server Error Messages For URLLoader

Jun 9, 2010

I have an URL loader with the following code:

public function getUploadURL():void {
var request:URLRequest = new URLRequest();
var url:String = getPath();

[Code]....

My problem is that this request might be wrong, and so the server will give me a back a 400 Bad Request, with a message to explain the error. If the Event.COMPLETE, I can see some message (a response) back from the server in the "data" field of the Event, but if onGetUploadURLError or getHttpStatus is called, it just says that the error code is 400 but does not show me the message associated with it.

The "data" field is undefined in getHttpStatus and it is "" in onGetUploadURLError. On the contrary, in getBaseURL, I get: {"ResponseMetadata":{...}} I checked and I do get a similar response in my browser for a wrong request, but I cannot see it.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Reading XML In PHP Instead Of An XML File?

Nov 4, 2010

I have a couple variables coming from PHP. So for example if my PHP looks like this:

PHP Code:

$qry = "Select * from memory";
$result = mysql_query($qry);
echo "memory=";
while($resultset = mysql_fetch_array($result)){
echo $resultset['name'].";".$resultset['memory'].",";

For this the output from the PHP file would look like this:

memory=Person2;Memory2,Person1;Memory1,

So basically the comma represents a new record in the database. So basically in my text field I'd like the following result to happen:

Memory: Memory2
From: Person2
Memory: Memory1
From: Person1

So take the first record and display it like I've shown and then have a couple break lines (not sure how to accomplish this either) and display the next record that was separated by the comma.I have the following AS code which works for one variable but I have more then one like above:

ActionScript Code:

files = new Array();
lv = new LoadVars();
lv.onLoad = function() {

[code]....

ActionScript 3.0 :: Display Images From The Images Server As Long As The User Is Plugged Into The Domain

Jan 22, 2009

I have a flash file sitting inside of a web page in our company domain. There is another server (used to store images) that is part of the domain but is not running any web services (for security reasons). A folder on the images server is however shared in such a way that any site on the web server can display images from the images server as long as the user is plugged into the domain. For example, both I and my boss can pull up a web site on the web server and see all the information, but only he can see the images
because I have Vista Basic and no domain support. This is done via "<img src='\serverNamedirectory.'/>"

That's ok, but on this particular instance I don't want to display the image on the webpage, I want it in a SWF on the page. However the SWF can't seem to load the images even though the page it's sitting in could. I've tried tons of variations of URLRequests and Loaders, most resulting in security errors. Since most of the online discussions about these errors revolve around cross-domain access, I can't seem to find any tech support for our specific situation.
