I have a TextArea component instantiated and added to the display list programmatically via ActionScript 3 code (not AS2, which is all I could find reference to on the net about this).
How to disable the border so it doesn't show around the TextArea component? I've tried a bunch of things, like for example:
myTextArea.setStyle("border", "false");
and
myTextArea.setStyle("borderStyle", "none");

Jun 25, 2009With the Flex 3 SDK you simply needed to set the borderThickness style to 0, or set borderStyle to none. With the Flex 4 SDK ad the Spark theme, this has no effect.

I have noticed that there is a black 1px bottom border on my FLV movie on my webpage. The FLV fits perfect on the space I have left on my webpage and border is 0 everywhere. I have checked the After Effects original file and there is no accidental space or background errors that might be causing it.how to remove the black bottom border?

Flash :: Flex Full Screen Scaling Remove Border?
Mar 30, 2012I'm writing a standalone windows AIR app and using
contextView.stage.align = StageAlign.TOP;
contextView.stage.displayState = StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN_INTERACTIVE;
contextView.stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode.SHOW_ALL;
Which will scale my app to full screen and show the entire app with no cropping, however may leave borders on the left and right. Which it does I'm wondering if there is a way to remove or at least set the color of those borders, they are currently white. Its a big wide 2" section on the left only in my case.
So I found out how to change the color of it, by doing a backgroundColor="#f3f3f3" on

Dec 13, 2011I have a skin class whose host component is a Toggle Button. I need to be able to add a border around it but only on the top, left, and right sides, As I understand it you have to the: <s:Line> component. So I added:

This worked for the top line , But I can't seem to get the left and right lines. I tried: this for the left side line, but it did not work (no line showed up):

How can I achieve the 3 Lines around the button?

Dec 21, 2011I'm having issues with implementing a flex button componentI have applied a CSS style to button and set border-color to, say #555555.So far, it works as expected.Then, when my application is resized, the border of the button component becomes blurred and its width automatically changes from 1 pixel to 2 pixels, which doesn't look very well.hen I maximize the app again, after the border is blurred, the buttons' border becomes 1 pixel and looks nice.

Nov 9, 2009I was trying to integrate two game flash files that I created, by combining them into one file (on one timeline), but was having issues with making my timer stop. As the lesser of two evils (or so I thought) I decided to load one of the games into the other file on a particular button click as an external .swf. This solved the timing issue, but now I don't know how to get rid of the .swf once im done playing it and ready to move on with the original game! I need some buttoncode (AS2) to remove .swf on button click.
