ActionScript 2.0 :: Remove Next Button At End Of Flash / Xml Gallery

I'm trying to figure out how to remove the 'next_bttn_mc" in the kirupa flash / xml gallery if it there is no photo left to load into the movie (it reaches the end of the images..no more to load)Also, would like the previous_bttn_mc to be invisible on the first photo.Thought about trying to do this as an additional node, with one variable = next_bttn_mc _alpha="0" and another where it equals 100.[code]

My problems comes in when you have to open a different image album and have to eliminate all the previously loaded children in the movieclip. When i load a new album i used a code you posted here: AS3 How to remove previous loadersbut the problem is that sometimes the user leaves the album page before ALL the pics laod so when they click on a new album to open it a new image is placed somewhere else cause the loader has already been launched. I've tryd to close() the loader but it doesn't seem to work.Here you can see the working site to see what im talking abouy you have to click on an album, leave before all the pictures load and open up another one.

Every time i click "add new table" btn, i create new MC. Now i wish to remove any MC from stage... When i click either "Masa1", "Masa2".. and so on, then "delete table" btn, the target MC is removed. How do I do that?

This is the code i used in a gallery that loads images sequentally. My problems comes in when you have to open a different image album and have to eliminate all the previously loaded children in the movieclip. The problem is that sometimes the user leaves the album page before ALL the pics laod so when they click on a new album to open it a new image is placed somewhere else cause the loader has already been launched. I've tryd to close() the loader but it doesn't seem to work. I have a very nice picture gallery made in CS3 / AS3. I managed to personalize it and all. But, I have difficulty with (or no clue... actually), how to add a precious and next button to it(image).This is the link for the zip file, containing all the neccesary files: URL...And in the attachment I pointed out where I prefer to have these two buttons.

I'm trying to get a custom flash gallery going by using the loadMovie command with Jpeg's. I must use this method as it's what is required by our project. I am trying to figure out some way to make an array to keep all of my image names and then detect which button is being pressed and have it call the corresponding number within the array.Currently I have some code that is working quite well but not fully

I have two buttons currently instanced named i1 and i2.The trace is working and calling "i1" but for some reason even though i set i1 = "thejpeg.jpg" it isn't calling the jpeg.I can upload my file if necessary.Also i'm going to need to be able to unload the opened jpeg by clicking anywhere off of the jpeg's area, .i know how to unload a jpeg but I don't know how to detect when you click any surrounding area of it.

I have a flash image-gallery which uses data from XML. I have a previous and next button working, so I can go to the next and previous image. Now I like to have a play and stop(pauze) button in my navigation.

Ok- so the idea is that when you click a button it plays the movies assigned to the variables gallery & button to the frames mentioned. Then the variables are changed and then when another buttons is clicked it does the same - 'except it doesn't - it does it once then sits there I have to use variables because there's a lot more buttons..but i don't understand why it doesn't work - it seems such a simple and obvious thing to try and do - why is it so HARD???

I've made a gallery slideshow before but wasn't as intuitive looking back at it now and I want to start fresh on this new project. I would like to convert a jQuery lightbox style gallery into a flash XML based AS3 image gallery with categories. I don't want to code the FLA, I want separate AS files.
This is a school project for my website. I would use jQuery and I have more experience with it but this project needs a flash component. I'm just not sure where to start and looking for some advice on how and where I could find resources. I want it to be minimal as I can make it;
- 8 thumbnails to a "page/section" with more flowed into page 2 or 3 etc. (or a srcoller)
- a few buttons for categories
- images fading in full size with a description when hovered over and a close button
- preloader (simple bar)
Esentially something like this > http:[url].........works which is using http:[url].... for the thumbnails. That might be ambitious but I'd suffice with a simple fade effect.I've downloaded some galleries out there but most of the code is messy or outdated.http:[url]... this is alright, but all the code is done in the FLA. I might break it into AS files but it depends.

i am trying to put some things together following the tutorials on this site. I did the tutorial 'Photo Gallery Using XML and Flash'and I followed it step by step and uploaded it with all the necessary files onto my remote server (xml file, Gallery folder, fla, swf, and html) - however, when I test the movie with flash, it seems to work fine (except the description test, my question to that later), but when I test it online it shows only the first image (but displays the correct number of images in the gallery); even when clicking the next button, it keeps loading the first image the first image. In other galleries (I use the structure for multiple galleries for my portfolio) the first image never loads at all.
Also, about the description text, in between the <caption> and </caption>, can I use <strong> and <em> and <br /> to change the appearance of my text? All it says is 'null'.If you want to look at what I mean check out my portfolio in the making. The problem with the first image displaying only is under 'paintings' and both the projects in 'design - packaging'. The second problem (no picture loading at all) is on some of the buttons in 'design - identity' (where I have not changed the description text of the tutorial yet).

I was trying to integrate two game flash files that I created, by combining them into one file (on one timeline), but was having issues with making my timer stop. As the lesser of two evils (or so I thought) I decided to load one of the games into the other file on a particular button click as an external .swf. This solved the timing issue, but now I don't know how to get rid of the .swf once im done playing it and ready to move on with the original game! I need some buttoncode (AS2) to remove .swf on button click.

I'm trying to make a button that will add and remove a movieclip. For some reason it wont remove the movieclip when it's clicked on and I can't seem to figure out what I did wrong. Below is the code I'm using. Even if I remove the else part from the function it wont remove the movieclip when the button is clicked on.

I have a button on my stage its a movie clip I also have a symbol in my library that is also a movie clip with a small animation inside it. It is not the button.
I am trying to use the button to bring the symbol out of the library onto the stage then when I click the button again it will remove the symbol from the stage.

What i need is a series of pictures on a row that is mouse sensitive, if you move the mouse the gallery move in a loop, (no stop!)All theese pictures need thees effects:
Normal state: blur
rollOver: unblur
rollOut: blur
click: unblur and desaturate
clicked: all picture pressed remains desaturate until you reload gallery.
what i have done is this:

I've been able to add those buttons, but they only work if I don't click on a thumb, as I click on a thumb they stop working.
In the code there is a function called loadGImage which loads the full size images, originally that function accepted 2 parameters, I've added a 3rd one which store the current image's index inside an array, so that I can use my buttons to call that function with index+1 for next and index-1 for prev.In addition to this I've added a variable which is updated everytime a full image is shown, that variable contains the image's index.
Clicking on thumb the buttons stop working because the current image's index turns to "undefined" so they can't pass a correct value to loadGImage.I've checked the code of the gallery, but I can't find where is said to the thumbs to call loadGImage, if I'd found that code I could add the index parameter and my buttons would work.I'm sure that the thumbs call loadGImage because I've put a trace() inside the function to see when it is activated.[URL]

I'm trying, to remove and then reassign an MouseEvent.CLICK to a on stage button, using a second on stage button.
when first button is released, it works fine, but when 2nd is released, the 1st one MouseEvent should be cleared and re-assigned a second listenner.

I'm trying to remove an EventListener after I click on a button. The thing is that I have the AS calling a movieclip, which is calling a box to appear on the stage. The code that I have works, but if you keep clicking on that same button more than once more boxes keep appearing one on top of the other one, so what i need is to remove the listener when you click on the button ones, but if i click on a different button to activate the listener again so that i can click on that same button again and make the box appear. so here's what i got so far:
