I am using this code to preform a tween action (a 'zoom in' animaion')

On a horizontal bar, text scrolls from left to right, continuously. The text is a fixed string of city names, and I've made it so that it loops nicely. This horizontal bar with scrolling text is part of a vertical animation, scrolling the bar in and out of view. The vertical tween starts after two seconds. When the vertical tween starts, the horizontal animation has started as well. At the beginning and end of the vertical tween, the horizontal tween starts over. I want it to continu.

I'm in the process of planning out my web portfolio website. The situation at hand right now is learning how to do a zoom tween via actionscript. I want to learn more actionscript tweens and get away from tweening using keyframes/frames - as this creates Huge file sizes. So I'm trying to be more efficent and keep file sizes down. Basic idea is I have a background image with 3keypoints (movieClips) that the user can click on. Once you click on these the camera will zoom and pin-point whatever movieClip has been selected.
Here's what I've been able to see so far. By applying this script to each separate movieClip it zooms in on the image or particular part of that image correct? How would I modify this so that it zooms when the user clicks the appropriate movieClip. I got this from from here and I have also seen and read the Kirupa Tutorial about the starfield/racecar game etc. But it doesn't sink in without examples right in front of my face. And to reverse the zoom when the user wants to (un)zoom back out would I switch the

to
_xscale = _yscale -= speed; ??

I have an animation a few elements, they're move to the left and script must stop element on which user move mouse cursor and scale it to bigger size. After take mouse animation must play again with the original size. Almost everything works but when user take cursor image resize to original size and don't want to play . I took only part of script cos next elements have almost the same code.

I am trying to create a zooming in effect on some text. To do this i am using the scaleX and scaleY Tween. The problem that I am having is instead of scaling outwards in all directions, it looks like its scaling downwards and to the right. I think this is because the centre of origin is in the top left corner.

I'm trying to achieve a simplified version of the move to screen area and zoom nav similar to: [URL]. I've read and completed the macromedia tweening tutorials [URL] and gained overview of tween class etc., So, I created an example (credit :sophistikat) using the macromedia tween class:

I have a problem with which I'm struggeling. I tried dearching for the solution, but the search was unlucky. My problem is that I want to build my stie like a cross (with only the centered page visible) and then, through a mouseclick, let the page move to the center position. To do this I want to incomrporate a horizontal and vertical action tween. However if I do this with the code below, it only tweens the y tween. How can I get flash to execute both tweens?

I have to create an animation involving a big fast zoom with a little rotation and animating it on the timeline just doesn't cut it.I start with state 1 (see attached file state11.jpg) where there is an animation and then I want a fast smooth zoom until I reach State 2 (see attached file state2.jpg). In the first state the "map" occupies the entire screen, but when it reaches state 2 the map is inside a mask and the other elements will start appearing.how to create this zoom smoothly with actionscript? I am really lost here and I know somethings about actionscript but I just cannot do this and my timing is today...

does anyone know how to disable that slide animation and just have the action bar instantly change to whatever action bar the next view contains, but still do a slide navigation for the rest of the view. My Action bar doesn't change on every page so seeing the same image reload repetitively in the action bar.

I'm trying to make an animation and it seems like an impossible task. I'm not a beginner, and this is harder than it first seems to be.So this is what I need: to make a tween between a partial small circle to a big circle. What I mean is I want to use the Oval Primitive tool and on frame 1 I'll have a circle (radius 100px) with Start Angle: 0 and End Angle: 230 and on frame 50 I'll need the same 100px circle with Start Angle: 0 and End Angle: 300.

I have created an image in photoshop (96dpi, same as my monitor) and imported it as a png into flash where it becomes a bitmap. Once I had imported the image I went to library and allowed smoothing on the image and set it to lossless. It performs a motion tween and simply flys from one side of my movie to the other. However, the whole way it appears pixelated. I had done this on a previous movie with the same image, just with a different animation and I had the same problem. But in this case the 'allow smoothing' worked. Not this time though.

I have four movie clips with instance names of "purple_ob", "green_ob", "orange_ob" and "blue_ob" and four buttons "purple_but", "green_but", "orange_but" and "blue_but" I want to have the movie clips automatically fade from one to another continually with a 5 second pause inbetween, but then if the user clicks one of the four buttons it will fade the relevant movieclip in. Then if nothing else is pressed the fading will carry on working through the four images in a loop.
So far I have the movie clips fading on a button press but how do I implement the automatic fading from one MC to another?

I have a simple animation made of Sprites (Those Sprites are composed with two objects inheriting from Shape and TextField).Each Sprite has a Tween firing on the MouseEvent.Click Event.When the Tween animation starts the TextField disappear by itself.Do I need to convert the text to bitmap?

ive made a flash banner 1000x500 with lots of objects tweening etc etc photos fading in and out,and ive being told to resize the banner size to 800x300but im having trouble when i do that,is there a way to get the everything that ive done into the 800x300 with out having to move all my objects around again and resizing each pic individualy,or do i have to start it from scratch again??

I am trying to make a banner where two colored squares roll across the screen. The first blue square does just fine, however when trying the same thing with a green square (in a different layer) it does ok the first half of the tween, but reverses direction in the second half (where I placed a keyframe)- even though I rotated the green square the same way as the first half.
