Well I'm making an animation of the little mermaid for school. Right now I'm at the scene where the mermaid 1st sees the prince. and I want to zoom in on the prince. How can I change the direction of the camera, with it effecting the whole animation?

I have an animation a few elements, they're move to the left and script must stop element on which user move mouse cursor and scale it to bigger size. After take mouse animation must play again with the original size. Almost everything works but when user take cursor image resize to original size and don't want to play . I took only part of script cos next elements have almost the same code.
I am using this code to preform a tween action (a 'zoom in' animaion')

I have to create an animation involving a big fast zoom with a little rotation and animating it on the timeline just doesn't cut it.I start with state 1 (see attached file state11.jpg) where there is an animation and then I want a fast smooth zoom until I reach State 2 (see attached file state2.jpg). In the first state the "map" occupies the entire screen, but when it reaches state 2 the map is inside a mask and the other elements will start appearing.how to create this zoom smoothly with actionscript? I am really lost here and I know somethings about actionscript but I just cannot do this and my timing is today...

ok lets say you create a button that when held down play an animation of 20 frames if realsed it goes to frame one and stops if held down it plays out this animation. for the topic lets say you have a fire animation and you want the fire to apear and if the user hold its down the animation reaches the end of the time line and loops back and plays the last 5 frames of the animation and as soon as it is let go it goes to and stops at frame one. Well i know how to make a button that when held down plays out an animation. And i know how to say when released goes to and stops at frame one. What i dont know how to do is to loop the fire at the last 5 or 6 frames so the user can hold it down all day long and play out that animation.
View 1 RepliesI have a certain set of motion twains that I've successfuly completed, they constantly loop right now (default), and is saved in the SWF file.I'd like to take that finished looping animation, and insert it within another animation (a) that can be played with a play button, and stopped/resetted with a stop button.How do I insert the completed looping animation into the main animation? And is there something special I have to do in the actionscript of the start and stop buttons so that the "inner" looping animation will start and stop with the "outer" main animation?

This horizontal bar with scrolling text is part of a vertical animation, scrolling the bar in and out of view. The vertical tween starts after two seconds. When the vertical tween starts, the horizontal animation has started as well. At the beginning and end of the vertical tween, the horizontal tween starts over. I want it to continu.

View 7 RepliesI have an project that when you enter a certain number and click a ''enter'' button, it send you to an image (forest picture, desert picture, town picture, etc). In these pictures, I've hidded some object. In exemple, in the forest picture, there's some blue birds, red birds, green birds, etc. I want people to find them and click on them to get some information about these birds. The thing is that these birds are hidden. When I open my picture with windows viewer, i can zoom-in and find them with the little hand toolso everything is fine cause I can find them. The problem is that when I export my project as an animation, we can't find the birds because we cant's zoom in. My question is, is there a way to zoom-in these images and navigate trought them (with the little hand tool) like we can do with windows viewer? Or is there a way to just Zoom-in my animation?

Is there a way to manually center the artboard?
I need to do a good animation for school to pass my subject and I have done several animations. I thought maybe I do an animation with different choices. Basically you have the "Home" Screen and then you chose one and an animation is been played. Then when I press another button, a different animations is being played.

i've made a button that zooms into a movie clip on a rollover, but it on moves it a certain amount each time you rollover the button. code below:

wot i want it to do is to continue zooming in for as long as the mouse is over the button, is there anyway i can change the code to zoom in at the same amount but do it continuously until the mouse is moved off the button. Also is there anyway that i can set it so that the zoom stops at a certain percentage, i.e. it only zooms in so much and then stops. What i mean is that the user can zoom in but the picture will only zoom in to say 200% of the original size.
I am working on flash application TELESCOPE or Camera. My goal is to move around the scene and zoom-in or zoom-out I found that if I move scene, I have to move registration point, because I always want to zoom in the centre of my ocular. So far application works fine only if I move, zoom-in and than before I move any further, zoom-out! But when I move, zoom-in (not fully), move again and zoom-in again, the second zooming doesn't appear on desirable registration point
View 1 RepliesI'm trying to create a little slideshow with photos. I created a little animation on every photo (a really subtle zoom-in or zoom-out effect) and transition using alpha transparency.
But some photos will flicker very bad. Expecially photos containing elements like grids or straight lines. Only really blurred pictures will render well.
I already raised FPS up to 60 but flicker still occurs.
I'm using flash8. Will another flash version (which?) render the movie in a better way?

View 5 RepliesI have a movie clip of all counties in the state of Montana (allcnt_mc). Within allcnt_mc there are individual movie clips specific to each county with name equal to the county's name. When clicking on a county, I'd like to zoom to that county and center the stage on it. I've added event listeners to all counties through querying an xml table that has demographic info I am calling into dynamic text boxes. Here is the code I have thus far to load the xml and add the listeners to the county movie clips.

I have a flash file, where I want to use default zoom function from Flash menu in swf player. Clicking "Zoom In", zooms into the swf file. Then when I try to use drag from mouse to change visible area, it does not work on moviclips. If I click on top of blank area, I can drag. Though this works fine in Flash as2 file.

Its easy to do this at the state level but I'd now like to do this for all the counties in the US.I'd like to be able to mouse over a state and get information pertinent to each state (this I know how to do). When one clicks on the state, they'll then fly-in to a more zoomed level where they can see county-level information.Should I build this so that clicking on a state simply loads a new FLA specific to that state and its counties? This seems easy but clunkyIt seems smarter to have all the info in one FLA. When you click on a state, you'll zoom into that states level and then have the ability to click on counties and get their infoDoes anyone have suggestions as to what I should learn next to start making this thing scalable (i.e. how to click on a state and zoom-in)?

The listening of the efect is working ok, but I canīt seem to find the information on wether the user intended zoom in or zoom out (fingers getting closer or getting apart).I expected the intention of the gesture to be identifiable with the offsetX and offsetY properties of the event, as you will do on a swipe gesture event. But I always get 0 for both properties, no matter how I do the gesture in the device.How can I know if the fingers getting closer or getting apart in a gesture zoom event?
