ActionScript 3.0 :: User Leave Webpage But Movie Keeps Playing

I have run into a sticky problem in IE7. A visitor can click on one of four links on an HTML page. Each takes them to a correlating anchor position within a movie that is located on another page. When they click on the link, they are taken to that page and the movie begins playing at that location. So far, so good. Some visitors hit IE's browser back button to return to the orig page. There, they click on one of the other anchors and are once again taken to the page with Flash.
This time, however, the audio from the first anchor they clicked continues to play below the new audio they selected. Apparently, the original link doesn't stop playing. Is there a way to stop a movie from playing as someone uses the browser's navigation to leave that page? The links page is here (just click on a photo to begin the movie. [URL]

I deployed a website a couple of days ago which is written entirely in Flash. On one of the pages there is a video which plays in the Flash Player. I have noticed that when I leave the video playing and select a button to take me to another page, the other page comes up but the audio keeps playing from the prior page. Worse yet, if I go back to the page with the Flash Player, it now relaods again and there are two audio tracks. Can someone tell me how this code is solved? There must be some Actionscript 3.0, which I'm using, which kills the player whenever you enter a different page?

I'm getting no errors on this, Go (comeback) is my movie clip which should turn up when the mouse leaves the stage area and leave when the mouse enters the stage. I know it's probably my removeChild command

New to this and using Flash CS4/AS3 to build simple website...and everything works fine apart from the swf movie keeps playing when I move to another page.
I am using MC buttons to go to labels on a timeline in a MC. On the time line 'videos' I dragged on UIloader to play a swf of a video. My problem is that when I go to another page (along the timeline), 'home' or 'contact' etc, the swf is still playing from the 'Videos' section. You can't see it of course but can hear the sound. If I click back to 'Video' the swf starts to play again over the first play. I have stop action on timeline above each different section, but this just stops all the pages from cycling.

I need to play a FLV file on a web page, but I don't want it playing in a visible player. That is I don't want there to be the usual Play button and no frame. I want it to work and look much like this link: [URL]. It is similar to those infamous "Mac vs PC" videos which occasionally play on the home page of [URL]. My flash ability in this area is limited. (I'm a Joomla pro but not a flash pro.) Looking at the source code, I see various swf controller file links, and some javascript, I think.
I have no idea what is in the swf files that may or may not be making it all work. First of all I don't even know if it is possible for a FLV file to play above html and then disappear revealing the html when it is finished playing. I assume with the swf and javascript and divs this is possible, but am not sure.Ideally I would love the complete code if possible. Or links to where I can find out how to do it.

i get no errors but i also do not get the text to show up in the code that follows. (it DOES show up if i leave it embedded in the movie clip instead of putting it into the .as file)

Assuming a network hierarchy that supports video multicasting, what options are there today to tap into this stream from a web page? I've seen some references to this with Silverlight and project Star Light, which I unfortunately have no experience with. It also feels like a third option behind HTML5 and Flash.

I am using AS2 in CS5.5.I am creating a project for a class that introduced me to adobe flash. The issue is I have gotten to a certain point about 15 scenes. During say the 15th scene scrolling through the timeline animations works fine, playing it on test scene works fine. When I go to play it on test movie it stops at a certain point. At first I thought it might have been a misplaced stop action but there is none to be found. The weird part is every other scene I create after that continues to freeze as well, the images are there, but the animations won't play. All my previous animations play before those with the issue, it's justThese new ones won't play for some reason in test movie, but work completely fine in test scene and the timeline.

I want to stop the sound according to user input. For example if an user enters in a Textfield 4.32 seconds, I want to pause the song exactly at 4.32 seconds ( 432000 milliseconds.) I created a timer handler, which will fire every 1 millisecond and traced the soundChannel.position property. The last 2 sound position is
4318.911564625851 ( 4.31 seconds );
4365.351473922902 (4.36 seconds);
But how to stop at 4.32 seconds for the user?

I have a portfolio_mc that is inside of a content_mc (stage->content_mc->portfolio_mc). There are 3 buttons that take the user to an appropriate frame designated by a frame label and this loads up an FLV. The problem is that when I click on any of the navigation buttons on the main timeline, the FLV that is currently playing, is still playing (I can hear the audio). How to stop this.
Here is the code used for controlling the buttons in the motion_mc timeline:

We have created a game and we need to run it fullscreen on a kiosk. The game requires the user use the spacebar however we would like to disable ESC and CTRL+ALT+DEL so the user cannot stop the .exe from playing.

I am using flash 8 professional.
I have a custom video player that loads videos from an external xml file. It uses all actionscript to control the video using the attatchVideo(ns).
At present the video starts playing as soon as the video opens, I would like the video to only start playing after the user clicks the play button.
What is the actionscript I need to achieve this?
* all the actionscript for all buttons etc. is on one layer called actions. Videos are external not on layers.

I am trying to create a little website in flash.. I have some video that plays automatically once the user goes to that section (I am using frame labels to navigate from section to section of the site). But, when the user clicks another button to go to a different page, the video is still playing because I hear it..How can I stop the video from playing once another button gets clicked?

I was thinking that it may be possible to create a primitive, yet usable actionscript based text to speech system for Flash movies (One that is platform independent).
Is it possible to right a series of actionscript commands that would play a collection of certain sound files based on what word or words the user has entered?
For example:
If the user types "Red Pen"
Can actionscript tear apart those two words and play sound files "Arr", "ee", "Dee", "Pee", "ee" and "EN"?
If it is possible, and if someone could help me out on it, then I'll start figuring out what phonetic sounds I'll need to record and program, and see if I can't build a simple text to speech program for flash movies.I have no immediate commercial application for it, and I don't plan on one.So if I can pull it off it'll be free to everyone, source code and all. Of course, it may be in my voice, but it shouldn't be hard to take what I plan to do and use it as a template for anyone else's voice recordings.

I found a flash movie on the internet and I modified it to meet my needs and works perfectly, but when I uploaded to my website it doesn't load correctly: it should have load the spiral carousel photoslide but instead it loads only the background photo. The flash movie is inside a folder with all the flash files included including the actionscript files, I uploaded that folder to my website and in my index.html page I've put my flash movie.

I am looking for the code or formula to created the video person talking over/in front of an html page created in DW full screen. I know how to shoot/create the FLV Flash movie file with transparent (alpha) background. The problem is trying to get the movie to float frameless over the html file without interference to the web page. Here is an example of what I am trying to do.... I'm kinda new to Actionscript still and I found a code for an external movie (that's in an FLVPlayback component) to play in a container after a preloader - it can be seen here: [URL]..at the end of the intro clip, i want the site to go to another page automatically i'm having trouble because i think i'm supposed to use getURL, but i don't know how to tell it to go there only after the external movie is done. here is the code that controls the external movie:

I have created a flash movie using actionscript 3 and an xml file with a list of images for a slideshow. After clicking publish, I can view the slideshow by previewing the html file it creates for you. However, I want to embed this flash movie in a different web page. When I try to add it in Dreamweaver, by dragging and dropping the swf file into the page, a flash placeholder is generated, but the movie does not play when previewed. It is just blank white space.
Now I watched the Tom Green tutorials on "flash the easy way" and my flash (CS4 professional) did NOT generate the AC_RunActiveContent.js files. I did find and download the file and manually added it to my Scripts folder. Still no joy.
I will note that the html file that embeds the flash video is in a different directory than the movie itself. Surely this cannot be the issue, otherwise people's websites would be incredibly messy with multiple flash videos. I am trying to put all the flash movies in their own child directories of a /flash directory to keep them neat and organized.
I am not sure what to do next. How do you make the dang thing play on a web page that is in another directory?
