I have searched about the white flash that people experience embedding their content in an HTML and have read the solutions.
I am experiencing a white flash when I preview my SFW in Flash. It is a single frame project. I am have tried changing settings to no avail.
Working in Flash CS4. When I publish my flash movie it opens fine on my computer but when I copy the folder with all the contents to another computer the skin show up fine but I get a white box where the movie should be. The same goes if we try to place it on a website.
When I'm in flash should I be going to
File Publish or
File Export SWF
To be placed in a website.
1) I created a movieclip animation and set the speed at a higher rate of fps than the site i later added the animation too - so the other animations I have are at the correct speed - i had forgotten to change the default from 12fps when I did those. Is there an easy way to change the speed besides changing the document fps - I don't want my animated sequence to speed up or slow down as I've just got it to the way I want it. I'm hoping that isn't too a stupid question
2) I thought that when you published the flash site it would 'crop' itself to the document size you set? I've tried uploading the published site and I have a white space around the top & bottom which looks terrible! I tried changing the size in dreamweaver but it's so hit & miss, sometimes it changed (but resized the whole flash site) or just didn't change anything. there must be something I'm doing wrong or an easier way to do this.
I've uploaded (for testing to see what it looked like - it's still very much in it's infancy and it's slow to load as I need to change an animation size - didn't prepare the raster images for web in one of the animations - trying to sort that now) on the end of my other website so that you can see what I mean: [URL](oh, and the background blue has a low opacity so I created a gif image to add to the html background but it's looks a completely different colour (it's the same hex colour code?!?!?!))
I am facing some problems with publishing of flash file. After publishing at HTMl; it shows white border at all sides of document. My document size is Width :- 1280 Height : 650. It is adding border on all sides border at top and bottom are greater than that of Left and Right. I have tried it many ways, altered my flash setting as well but no use. I am really stumped due to this. To my surprise at SWF file it showing perfect match and fit exactly into window (not showing any borders like HTML) I dont know exactly from where it is getting white borders. I'm having some trouble with getURL (I think). It works fine when I preview with Flash's html preview but it's not working on my server. It's pretty simple. [URL].selected1 is a user-defined variable pointing to a page: ie, when the user selects variable page1 the page to be opened is [URL]. Like I said, it works with Flash's preview, but not on my server(no 404 or any response). Does there seem to be a problem with my code or might I be overlooking a server error? Here's my code:

Ive made a movie that add strings from several input text fields to an array. This array is sent from the flash video to php. This is working fine when I preview the movie as Flash. The php script prints the variables as intended.
But when I preview it as html the arrays are all empty...

I'd like to be able to click on each of the buttons and have the background color change and also have its color name loaded in the dynamic text field. E.g. Clicking the white square would change the background color to white and should also display the text ''white'' in the dynamic text box. I have a AS3 project, which shows a map (based on OSM) and prints some information on the map. Now I would like to have a thumbnail for this map.
I've tried [URL] to generate a screenshot of the whole page, the problem is when bitpixels takes the screenshot, the map isn't fully loaded.
Is there a way to say something like DisplayObjectContainer.exportToPNG?
i made several flash files and connected them with buttons with, behaviours [load external movie clip] but when i moved it to a cd the buttons dont work.

They are viewable, linkable etc. Everything is working, but now I want to include some flash elements.I built a flash file in action script 3.0 and saved it in the files folder of Dreamweaver, I dragged and dropped the swf file into the design screen and saved it. I have uploaded the html file, the swf and fla files and the created js file to the host server, but the flash element does not appear on the page when I view it in the browser.
View 4 RepliesYes, I am currently running into an issue concerning publishing settings with Flash Professional CS4. I know how to make things animated in the publish setting, but things come out like the saturation is not all there in a project. I have no clue what to choose for the options to achieve the desired effect I want. It just looks drained of color. When I import items to the stage everything looks so clear and perfect, but when I go to publish it as a .gif animated it looks so bland. I'm sure Flash users are familiar to the settings provided for the .gif tab, if not I can give a list of everything thats there. I have included a screenshot of what my dialog box looks like as well.

I am having sever problems with publishing gifs in flash. All text turns into great big blobs. This has not allways been happening, it just started one day...I have tried reinstalling but the problem is still there...Heres something I made to show...I put a white background, and 30pt arial text saying "Test" in roughly the middle...it came out like this:
View 4 RepliesI have an FLA that has 20 scenes in it. When I publish it, the resulting SWF plays fine up to scene 16. At that point, I get the streaming audio, but the animation just stops. The scenes after 16 are empty.
This is a simple, voice narrated movie that is linear. The buttons at the bottom are AS2 pause/play/nextscene/prevscene. It works fine till I get to scene 16 and that's where it seems like it's just incomplete.
I noticed when it's publishing that the progress bar seems to get a bit over halfway and then the publishing dialog just disappears as if it's finished. It doesn't move the progress bar all the way to 100%.
If I do a test scene each one of those scenes publishes fine and plays fine inside Flash CS5.5. This only happens when I publish the whole thing. If I copy the timeline of scene 16 and paste it into a new movie, that single scene also publishes and plays fine. Again, it's only when it is publishing all 20 scenes.
I have a SWF file which contains of an image (1keyframe) and also, it contains an AS3 file with the following codes:

so basically, i am trying to play the swf file (1.swf - an audio) while the image is being displayed. What I want to know is how will I be able to publish this project into an SWF file which can still play as expected even without the raw 1.swf file. I can publish SWF right now but when I delete the 1.swf file, my generated swf can only display the image.
Installed Flash CS3 for the first month and everything was working ok. But mayhem kicks in the last couple of days when i tried to publish my document. it just keep crashing. i tried creating a new document with just one line of text and it still crash upon publishing. I uninstall the program, run winCS3Clean and install the program, THRICE, but the problem just wouldnt go away. this is very frustrating.
View 14 RepliesI have just completed a project and upon publishing it found the swf file to be bloated. I looked at the report found 411K to be Action Script and 10k to be EVERYTHING else! The key is that I did no coding at all. I used the standard motion tweens, but the project is very, very simple. I have one moving graphic and about 10 pieces of text fading/zooming in/out.

View 5 RepliesWhen I try to open Flash, the splash screen appears and then stops. If I try several time, it may open and then most likely not at the very beginning, but at the point where I browse for the .flv file.
If i get it open, usually at the point where I browse for the .flv file, and I select a .flv file and start the process, the progam freezes at the preview point.
I have to use the processes bar in Windows Task Manager to close the program any time it freezes.
I'm trying to export an animated text image, but for some reason, when I publish in .gif format, the text is all screwed up. I have example of it, in the attached file. It worked for me in flash mx, but in flash cs4 it doesn't work. I want the text to be readable and animated, in this .gif.

I have decompiled CS3 fla's and I am trying to publish them as CS4 files. I have Flash CS4 installed on my computer. Some of my files will publish but not all of them will. It is getting rather frustrating trying to publish these files while all I have changed is the text. Although as you must know, the text is now a graphic(from the Flash Decompiler), so I am now trying to publish the new file and it crashes. It does save as an fla but will not before a swf.
I know the message boards keep saying to uninstall Flash CS4 and re-install CS3 but this is not an option for me.
I working on a product demo in flash and it is almost complete. The problem is when i integrate Audio in the animation the file don't publish in swf format. It is showing a process bar with 70% completed. It means 30% is not publishing.

View 2 RepliesI have recently received a copy of the Adobe eLearning suite, in particular I hope to use Flash for the majority of my elearning projects.I have been having trouble using the learning interactions that come ready to use with Flash. For example,I placed the drag and drop interaction onto the stage area, but when pressing F12 to preview and use this feature it would not work (could not drag the movie objects), the same goes for all the other features I can select radio buttons etc but when pressing the 'cheack answer' button nothing happens.Even though these interactions come with instructions which i have followed, it still does not seem to work. I do not wish for them to be scored, I just want the user to receive correct or incorrect feedback.
View 1 RepliesI've created a Flash animation and inserted the SWF file (created in Flash 8) into my Dreamweaver CS2 file. It all works fine in preview (both in Flash and Dreamweaver). But on any of the browsers the public file doesn't show the flash animation.
I have a transparent layer in Dreamweaver over the SWF file so that I could put hotspots which are working.

I am working on Flash CS5 Professional. I have created a simple fla file but not able to Publish->preview the swf file in Google Chrome. When I click on Publish Preview it opens a new browser window but nothing happens.
View 6 RepliesLet's say I create an empty movieclip called "Test_mc", then I create an as3 class "Test_mc" like below and then I set the movieclip class to "Test_mc".

Now I can drag out instances of the Test_mc into the scene and get red circles when I test the movie. The problem however, is that I can't see the circles on the canvas inside the Flash IDE. Is there a way to get these actionscript generated grapics to show up?
