ActionScript 3.0 :: Back Again. Class Package File Path?

I had some trouble yesterday with the statement of the file path after the package statement in classes. but now i am encountering something totally strange. I created a simple class to test if my file path naming was correct, it works great it is called hello world. then started to work on the class that i actually want to make...and it gives me an error stating that the file path name is incorrect. it is the exact same as the hello world class, and in the exact same location (same folder as the .fla) here is the code for all three:
C:demoABC.as: Error: A file found in a source-path must have the same package structure '', as the definition's package, 'demo'.Where is wrong above command?
It seems I have no trouble pointing an FLA's document class to my project's class package when the FLA is at the same root level as the package's top-level directory. However, if the FLA is nested in a sub-directory, then relative paths to a class nested in the package will not work.example package & class location : [url]....
If someone can provide an explanation as to why nested FLAs can't point to custom packages in parent-level directories, OR demonstrate how this can be done,
how to package entire project. I mean to say that i have large project and i want to manage all files. I have main fla file, some xml files. some .as files. right now all this in one folder. i mean to say how to say path to the main file.
I have classes witch resides in this package :com.network.interface_as. When I try to load one class from that package in another class in the same package like this:
i was wondering when I import a class, for example "import flash.text.*;", and when I import the same class in the subsequent AS file in the same package, isn't it disk space consuming? If so, is there a way to like, import it once and it will apply to all the other AS in your package?
Here's the issue: I have three files in the same package: com.foobar
The directory to these files is:
C:..mylibrarysrccomfoobar
then inside I have foo.as and bar.as
When I try to run mxmlc C:..mylibrarysrccomfoobarfoo.as I get the error:
A file found in a source-path must have the same package structure ' ', as the definition's package, 'com.foobar'.
To that I say: it does. The package is com.foobar. The structure goes ..[url]....I've found a few other forum posts on the web about this error, and it seemed like the user had to make the directory matching the package name, which I already have.
I am having some trouble setting relative package source path in the ActionScript Settings Flash CS4.Below is the folder structure on my computer.[code]The only way it will work is with an absolute path like /Users/ jenrosamond/Desktop/Tri-Template/classes.This project is getting moved around to several different machines though, so that absolute path isn't going to work.
I was wondering if it possible to write up some AS that will take line paths that you have drawn and convert them into a Path object? For example say you drew a jagged line from left to write, would there be a way to have AS convert that into a Path object.
I got an xml file from other site that generate url starting with back slash ( / ) . I want to replace that trialing slash. How do I replace through as3. I tried the replace() method no luck with the / Here is what I'm tiring to do:
I am coming from flash to flashbuilder I have a directory, AS3_classes_dir, on my computer that stores all of my classes, including my greensock and papervision packages. In every flash app that I make I include that directory in the Source Path, so that I can import whatever I may need. Compiling in flash (using ctrl/enter) takes very little time; only the classes that are specifically imported are compiled.So today I did that in flashbuilder, included AS3_classes_dir via Flex Build Path/Source Path ... but now the compile time are a couple of minutes, even though I am not even importing ANY of the classes from within.
I have a HTML stageholder, this calls a "mainMenu.swf" which essentially controls my site. This "mainMenu.swf" has three buttons: intro, portfolio and contact which are all individual movies. So far, all good... When I have clicked into the portfolio section a 3x3 grid loads with nine buttons, one of these buttons loads a preview page for four movies, when I load one of these movies it plays fine. What is the path to get the loadMovie command to jump back to the 3x3 grid page from this movie? Basically, what is the command to jump up a directory when using loadMovie?
I wanted to design a [relatively] all purpose class to load images and SWF's with a preloader MC and error handler. I made this BUT, when I load the MC I cannot control it. i.e. I load an SWF containing an animated GIF, but I cannot say mc.gotoAndStop();
I wrote a class that performs an asynchronous loop. It needs a package name. I already have a util package, but feel resistant to put half of my classes in that package. If it really belongs there, I'll put it there, but I'd feel much better if I can find a more appropriate/specific package.
I have classes witch resides in this package :com.network.interface_as. When I try to load one class from that package in another class in the same package like this:

I get error message that "class com.network.interface_as.SomeClass_A could not be loaded".
I need to assign dynamically a path to a xml file through Flashvars. How I can make it work? I was able to get Flashvar from html page into swf with actionscript code on timeline:

I have a photo gallery, with a thumbnail panel (a photo viewer page) that I made, coding the AS3 from the key frame. It just so happens that I saw some class files online that have some good stuff in the tutorial.I've never really worked with .as files and I am intimidated by them.Would it be easier to modify my photo gallery, with a thumbnail panel, from key frame to .as AS3 code or to go from .as to key frame code? I personally feel more comfortable with key frame AS3, but I am not scared to dabble.How can I practice adding a couple of class files to my key frame AS3 code- I'm using regular variables, but the interesting idea I saw uses private variables and public functions, and it imports some stuff?
I am somewhat new to OOP and am attempting to learn how to design and execute custom classes. My goal is to create a package that extracts data from an XML document. Do any of you have links, books or other resources you would recommend? So far, I've got the following:
I inherited a project and this thing is a real Frankenstein. It is a combination of external classes, flex xmls and action script on timelines of objects in various swf files. I have a situation where I need to access a class in a package a few directories up. For example my direcoty structure is similar to the following:
I need to use DataProvider class and i cannot find the package that contains it. In all examples I saw they use fl.data, but I'm using flex builder sdk 3.4 beta and it doesn't have such a package.
