ActionScript 3.0 :: "if" Statement - Implement 2 Email Forms In The Same Scene At Different Places In The Timeline
Jan 26, 2010
I've been having a problem trying to implement 2 email forms in the same scene at different places in the timeline. If I do just one form, there isn't a problem, but there is a problem with the 2nd form (I've tried using different instance names to no avail). However, it appears I have most of it figured out, but am still having a problem, which I believe I may have a solution for by using an "if" statement. In the following AS3 code is a string that reads var URL_request:URLRequest = new URLRequest("send_email.php");
I believe I may be able to resolve the problem if I had a 2nd string (in the same code) that read var URL_request:URLRequest = new URLRequest("send_email_02.php"); Is there a way to include that string in the same AS3 by using an "if" statement telling the code to "submit" the 2nd form? If so, how to write that "if" statement?
I wanted to have 2 email forms in a flash site. One to go to one inbox and another to go to another inbox. That's easy enough to do by editing the PHP, but not the AS3. The following code works for the first email form, but not the 2nd because of duplicate actions."What do I need to edit in the following AS3 code to get it to submit a second form?"
I did the Tutorial "Forms with Components" on this page. I was wondering, is it possible instead of printing the information on the screen when pressing the button you can have it send to you in an email when pressing the button.
I have 4 var names "firstname, lastname, phonenumber, email" and 5 check boxes.I've also have a dynamic text box called EmailStatus. I got pretty frustrated with my code and felt it was messy,how to implement the check boxes into my email'd form.
I am trying to implement a comment form for a flash page using a php email system. I am new to flash, but I got it working for the most part. The problem is that I receive emails, but they are blank and do not contain the info I put in. Below is the Actionscript I used and the php I used.
on (release) { if (!FirstName.length) { EmailStatus = "Please Enter your name."; }
I have a navigation menu that is a movieclip (menu_mc). In the movieclip are 5 buttons. i need the buttons, when clicked, to play a different area of the timeline, dependent on where the user is on the timeline.
I've tried writing this actionscript on the main timeline. But can't get anything to work and am a little lost. for example Say the viewer is on frame 5, and clicks the "blue" button and jumps to frame 6. on frame 6 if they are to click "blue" button again i want to send them to frame 7, not to frame 6.
if anyone could direct me to a tutorial on how to write up something like this, especially one dealing with a very large timeline and multiple buttons, i'd be grateful!
I have this email form. Click on the bottom where it says submit track.It takes you to a form section.On that button i have an if statement, but it doesnt work.I only want the playhead to play when all 3 fields have been filled out, i thought i had it right, but i was wrong
Flash CS4, I have an f4v vid on one layer and another f4v vid on a second layer. the films do not overlap on the timeline. I have a button to goto the layer with the second f4v. All works fine however when I go to the second fv4 the first one continues to play which i obviously need to stop.
I have a movieclip in my main timeline as a menu. I want to go to a different scene in the main swf file depending on what scene I am in. Right now I'm using an if statement on the button within the menu (see below) but when I click on the button it only plays the first line of the if statement.
on (rollOver, dragOver) { gotoAndPlay("s1"); } on (rollOut, dragOut) { gotoAndPlay("s2"); } on (release) { [Code] .....
figure out what is going wrong with this bit of code? I have a movie clip button called play_mc and when the user clicks on it I would like the timeline to stop and the play_mc state to change to frame two. Then when the user clicks on it again, I would like the timeline to start again and the play_mc to go to frame 1.
I am having a problem using an if statement in a button. What I want to do is go to a frame dependent on which frame we are already on. For example if I am on frame one and I press the button the first time it will take me to frame five, if I then press the button a second time the actionscript detects we are on frame five so goes to frame ten and so on.
ActionScript Code: on (release) { gotoAndPlay(5); if (currentframe == 5) { gotoAndPlay(10); } else if (currentframe == 10) { gotoAndPlay(15); } else if (currentframe == 15) { gotoAndPlay(20); }}
When I first press the button it takes me to frame 5, the second time I press it goes to frame 10, but when I press after that instead of going to 15 it takes me back to 5 then 10 then 5 then 10 etc and is stuck between going from 5 to 10 and back again.
I can send emails/forms from a button, no problem, by using this. emailSend.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, sendForm); But I want it to send automatically when the time-line lands on a specific frame. What can I do to change this line?
From the main time line after clicking one button named "btn_mc" I go to a different scene named "About us" now if i want to come back to the main time by clicking another button named "Back to Main Menu" how can I write the code.
To enter into the "About us" scene I wrote this code to the button "btn_mc" which is in the main time line is something like this.
Code: btn_mc.onRelease = function (){ gotoAndPlay ("About us",1); }
I'm currently working on a project where I mix animation sequences with short videos. My project also has two scenes and the FLV will be placed on the main time line of the second scene. The problem I am having is, if the movie is previewed from the first scene, or exported, the FLV on scene 2 won't load. the timeline on the playhead will just spin. I'm currently using "Load external video with playback component" as the method for importing the flv file.I have already worked with this video multiple times in other flash files and have never had a problem loading the video. Is there a limitation to FLV playback in multiple scene movies?
ive made a button in the scene 1 which i have managed to navigate to scene 2 but when i click the button it goes to scene 2 but displays everthing that is in scene 1 in scene 2, how can sort this out so upon the button click in scene 1 it goes to scene 2 and only display content in scene2.
I have linked a button to another scene, in whic the second scene automatically plays some animation. I want to create a button on this new scene, after the animation has finished, which reverses the animation and then automatically goes back to the original scene. I have this code:
how to build a timeline scrubber that can scrub more than one scene.
1. Scene 1 had 20 frames 2. Scene 2 had 20 frames 3. On scene 1 I put the slider that scrub the timeline. The totalFrames; sum all the frame from all the scene. 4. When i scrub the slider to frame 21 error occurred saying that the slider couldn't be found. So i paste the slider in scene 2.
So how to continue scrub on scene 2? How to make a slider that can scrub all scene and move along showing the current frames?
everything here is fine. It opens finely. But... i want to pass parameters where if i click a button in html page My.swf should open a particular scene called 'Scene 2' rather than scene 1. i tried
I don't know if this is too much to ask but could someone give me a quick overview on how to create an email form that actually sends the information to my email? I have the form created, and I'll post the .fla file (I allow a laugh at my elementary flash movie. This is just a final project for an intro to flash class), and I understand I'll need the .asp file from GoDaddy setup on my hosted space.
I want to make a button, when clicked, open a blank email in outlook express to an email, with a subject.i take it you would use:[code] just wanted to show you what i meant! that was just a random stab.
I have used the kirupa tutorial on a flash email form and it works GREAT! The only thing is I want to have required fields that need to be entered in for the form to send. If the user doesn't enter anything, it will ask them to in order to send the email.how I can do this or adapt it to the kirupa tutorial code?
iam trying to create an email form with flash cs4. so i've designed the layout and i've written a script to check that the details given are correct. but i am having problems while i am trying to sent those details to my email. here is the script after the details were checked:
here is the issue I am having: I have a button in my main movie and after it is pressed i want for it to open a pop up window right next to this button with some information in it. I have a email button so when you click on that button I want another window to open right next to this email button with my email address.
I built a Flash email sender, its very simple, it just sends all the variables in the fields, no cross checks or nothing.Problem: here's what the end-user email looks like:
Subject: Message from <TEXTFORMAT LEADING="2"><P ALIGN="LEFT"><FONT FACE="_sans" SIZE="14" COLOR="#000000" LETTERSPACING="0" KERNING="0">Smiles</FONT></P></TEXTFORMAT> Name : <TEXTFORMAT LEADING="2"><P ALIGN="LEFT"><FONT FACE="_sans" SIZE="14"
Having a few problems with what I thought was a simple if statement. Here is the code:
[Code]...
I can't quite figure out the small problem with the code. It seems to just bypass the first requirement of the if statement when I do type in the proper input and go straight to the else statement.
