ActionScript 3.0 :: Installed The Slideshowpro Component On Machine (XP)?

I recently installed the Slideshowpro component on my machine (XP). However, in order for it to work as i needed it to, I ended up de-compiling it to see how i can customize it.I ended up creating a Main.as class which extends the Component class that comes with Slideshowpro.In Main.as, I am importing various packages from slideshow pro, for example:However, I am not including the net.slideshowpro.slideshowpro package in my folder structure where I have my Main.as file that I compile.My question is, where exactly does this net.slideshowpro.slideshowpro.content package reside? On the web? Or somewhere locally?

Does anyone know of a component or tutorial for implementing a slot machine-like list similar to the interface component on the iPhone (example at URL...)? I did find one commercial component for flex at URL..., but am not sure how open this would be for modification (looks like it's a compiled SWC file in the example).

I am currently trying to make a Flash website for my cousin's business, and his website should feature a portfolio gallery to display the work he has done (He is a contractor). I am trying to use the SlideshowPro plug-in which generates a very nice-looking Flash gallery that is about 50 times nicer than the one he is using on his website at the moment. One of the big things I like about SSP is that it offers a full-screen picture viewing mode, which would allow potential customers of his to see work he has done better than they are currently seeing.
However, whenever I publish the website to test it and make sure everything is working okay, I go to the Portfolio page and test SSP in full screen. Once I come back from full screen, the gallery remains on top of the screen on every other page of the website. The audio also does this (It can play audio in the background while looking through the galleries you set up). Since I am somewhat new to Flash, I am not sure why it is doing this. Perhaps someone else has encountered this and has a fix or workaround that I could use.

I have been successful in dynamically loading an album in SSP before, but using SSP Standalone. I did it like this:

What I'm looking to do now, though, is dynamically load a gallery when the page loads, using text entered in the javascript, or flashvars I'd assume. I'm using ActionScript 3 with this, so I'm not sure if I have to do something to the SSP instance in Flash. I'm not very good with AS3, so following advice or tutorials is about all I can muster. I'm also using SSP Director, so my gallery XML URLs would be similar to above in the example code.

I using the SSP component, and I scripted a custom event for clicking on loaded images to go to the next image.This is working very fine except for that the hand-cursor won't show up on roll-over on the image.I'd like this to happen, but dont't know how to.This is ths scrip I use now:

I have a component "child" which has a cancel button. Now this component is placed in a state called "newChildComp" I also have another component called "parent". In the parent component, i have a button that dispatches an event. Here is the event code:

so, basically,i am checking to see if the cancel button component in the Child component, while i am still in the parent Compoent, was clicked, if it was clicked, call the cancelButtonHandler. The problem is by the time the addNewChild handles the event, that cancel button was still null. My question is how do i solve this without using the itemCreationPolicy on the cancel button?

I'm using the update function of Adobe Media Encoder and see that an update is available. I click on download and install it. Everything works fine and I get the message that the update was installed successfully. But when I start AME again it still shows 4.0.0.374 instead of 4.1.0 - what's wrong? I never had this problem before. I also tried to download and install the update by hand. Same result.especially when I see that the contact form of Adobe's customer support portal is offline.

I'm developing a game for iOS with Flash CS5.5 Air API's. I need a way to detect if another of my Apps is installed on the device. On xCode it's simple:
I add a custom URL name with the "url types" method and I check if is installed with this code:

I installed fms 3.5 and actually am running apache for php in 8080 and want to make this fms service in different port and made it as 8083 while installing,
After installed when am starting fms using
./fmsmgr server fms start
it shows error message and i checked in messages file it gives already that port is used by someone

In the above example it checks if the Barcode Scanner App is installed, which works just fine. However, if I try to check for the Adobe Flashplayer using com.adobe.flashplayer it doesn't work and always returns false. Is there a better / more reliable method to check for Flash?

How to check with JS if flash is installed, or not? I don't want to detect the version, or other informations. I want to check only, if it's avaiable, or not.The swfobject library makes it (and many other things, which are unneccessary for that), but I don't want to use a library for only one function.

I just saved a file I was working on and Flash CS5 crashed on me as it was saving and now the file is corrupt and won't open (because of our obsolete file system).
So I recommend OS X users to use Time Machine so you always have a backup of the file being made as you work.

run the app
change the system time (back an hour, or change the date forward by two weeks, etc.)
run the app again with the correct time passed
how to implement this without relying on server connection?
