ActionScript 3.0 :: "loadmovie" Works In Flash But Not Website

I bought a website that uses a Templatesbox flash template. I am trying to get the page content to show, and this is acchieved by using the loadmovie command. However it works I do "test movie" in Flash CS4 but when I upload both swf files to my website it only displays index.swf, and does not load the page content, home.swf. I thought it was something like it could not find the file, but both are in the same folder and labeled the same. Is there a reason it would work in the flash editor, but not online?
am i publishing the movie incorrectly? It works great when I preview the flash file (cntrl+enter), but after I publish it and insert it into the html (in dreamweaver), the file shows up and animates perfectly, but when clicked, no link... It doesn't do anything
I am trying to load an external SWF into my main movie. The problem is only loadmovienum() seems to work and not other method works i have usedLoadmovie() Load Component loading using an object
I have done this many times before in other flash projects but I can't what's wrong this time . I have used the tween class for some animation and that's it. i even tried loading in the main movie even that doesn't seem to work. I don't want to use loadmovienum because then i am not able to define the placement for the SWF!!
ive got a movie loading in an external one..and in flash its all good..but once i run it in browser it dosent work.. any suggestions as to why?this is the code on the fram that loads in movie, its followed by a gotoAndplay this frame again..
I'm publishing to Flash 8 Player and even though I can load one movie into another within Flash, when I publish the HTML all I can see is the container SWF - the loaded SWF is invisible. I've tried this with more than one loader movie and the result is the same. Here's my HTML for Flash:
I have a menu which is a external Swf, It consists of 6 swf files.These menu's are loaded dynamically containing info from XML.When you click on of one the 6 buttons I want to use loadMovie to load'one of the swf files specified on the button' into a container called 'Scroller'.The idea is that it replaces the loaded swf with another one when you click another button.I gave everything instance names including the scroller.When i test the movie It does load when i click on button1.When i click on button 1 again, it even loads again.If I Click on button 2 (or 3,4,5,6) after i clicked on 1 it replaces the first swf.But after that nothing else works. When i click on one of the other buttonsthe trace doesn't even come up.
Im using loadMovie within a .swf on level 1 to load an external movie into level 2. But when this happens the sound function doesnt work. The 2nd movie being loaded has the newsound defined and everything within itself. It plays if i run that swf seperately or using ctrl+enter. Yet when the 1st movie calls the 2nd movie onto level 1 at runtime.The sound in the 2nd movie doesnt play. But its button sounds all seem to be working.
When I load the myMC2.loadmovie Hyper_youtube_version.swf, the whole website shifts to the left. Plays fine but I cant figure out why its doing that. When I load a regular player....it works but but the new player I got hyper_youtube_version.swf is loaded, it doesnt seem to work.
works perfect on my macbook pro (safari, firefox, and opera) but when I view the site on Vmare Fusion Windows XP and use IE and FireFox the pages don't load... I don't know what to make of this. Has anyone hear or seen anything like this happen before? BTW the website was created in Adobe Flash CS4/ AS 3.0 and published using Flash Player 10.
I'm making a website with a couple of loadMovie bits of script in. I'm loading these into empty movie clips in the .fla file, to load a photo gallery and a portfolio.
The problem I'm having is they're not keeping the individual paramaters (if thats the right term) of each .swf file (the movie it's loading)
For example, my gallery.swf requires the scroller to be at x. 29 for it to work. Dunno why, but i worked around it. However when it's loaded into the website.fla file, it's using the x and y co-ordinates of the website, as opposed to the original movie. So, if I place the empty movie clip where i want the movie to load, the scroller doesnt work. However if I place it a 0,0 it does.
With my portfolio.swf the files are not located in the root folder. But my website .fla is. It's not possible to have the files in the root folder because of the way it works. When loading the portfolio.swf on it's own the files work fine and are linked okay. But when the .swf is inside the empty movie clip on the .fla file, it's not going to the correct source, it's seaching for the files from my root folder as opposed to the portfolio folder where the .xml and sub folders are located. Changing the path it looks for doesnt help either. I tried to make it search for "portfolio/gallery.xml" (as opposed to "gallery.xml") and that made the rest of the code try to look inside a portfolio folder (so instead of "gallery/design/image1.jpg" it was looking inside "portfolio/gallery/design etc." whilst already being inside the folder).
What I want to know is, is there a piece of actionscript that will tell the loadMovie function to use the original paramters of the movie it's loading, and not intigrate them with the .fla you're working on.

When I test it on my computer it works fine. When I upload the SWF to my site with the code, the buttons appear but they don't load the images. I assumed this was because the images have to load from somewhere, so I uploaded the images to the same folder, but I it still won't work. Now I'm assuming it's an action script issue, but I don't know how to resolve it. My current action script is: on (rollover) {loader.contentPath = "image.jpg";}

I'm using LoadVars to retrieve some data from a table using php. When I use the app from within my Flash environment I am able to retrieve the info, but once I post the swf to the website nothing happens. I"m posting to the same remote page. I don't think LoadVars is even firing since the trace in my else clause is not firing.

I have 2 websites both built entirely in flash.My problem is that I have created a button on 1 of the sites that has to link to a particular scene and frame within a different flash website.
I want to use a flash preloader for my php website. I have seen some javascript examples; but I want something attractive and cool. So I want use flash preloader which will show the percentage of the website loaded.My website is kinda heavy(with lot of images). It looks bad when the contents load. So I want to show a flash preloader while the site loads.
I have a movie clip (with instance name rectangle_mc) on the stage. Within this movie clip there are two separation animations on the timeline. The ROLL_OVER animation starts on frame "over" and the MOUSE_OUT animation starts on frame "off." If I roll over the movie clip, the initial animation plays, and when I mouse out the other animation plays to restore it to it's initial state. However, once the rollover animation has played once, it will not play again when I roll over it again, but for some reason the MOUSE_OUT plays every time.
I've been trying to load a simple .swf (home.swf) and have it play automatically on my existing fla project (as2). These are the steps I have taken.. 1) create MC, named "holder" 2) within first frame of MC, entered in.. loadMovie("home.swf","holder"); Nothing is showing, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I'm dynamically creating an empty movieclip inside another movieclip to load an image into it. How could i make sure that this image is always centred in the movieclip?
Also, if i have a attached movieclip named E.G. 1M how do i find out the x and y position to make it appear next to each other?
I have a template that have some buttons in the header. I add one button because my client needs one more section in the SWF. When the movie loads the behave of the intro is to load the first button running from flag fotogram "s1", but it's not working properly. The button get's stuck and it's not behaving like it should. When I rollOver or rollOut is not doing what it should do. Why is happening this? I'm loading another swf with loadMovie but it's _lockroot = true. I tried not loading that flash but the button is still not working fine.
I have a presentation in Flash and I want import gallery(swf), which use XML file. Gallery is something like this [URL]. I have charts which also use XML file. My question is how to load this .SWF file to my presentation?
I have a problem with my flash movie. First of all I have a container flash movie that pulls and xml list of movie names and locations and lists them on that movie (main movie). For now I just have two .swf being loaded to that main movie. The problem is that on in one of those .swf files I am loading an external .flv video and it is playing back perfectly when I initially load that movie for the first time. The problem is that when I load a different .swf and then load that .swf with then .flv in it the a time_interval text field that I have set up that displays the time is not seemless (meaning seconds are displayed like 1, 0, 2, 0, 3, 0, 4, 0, 5, 0, etc.)
I am running into some real problems with importing a png and associating it with a movieclip.Basically I want an image (image1.png) to appear inside a blank movieclip on my stage called "image1". I need this to all run from the library and not from an external folder - thus this does not work for me : loadMovie ("image1. png", "ClickReveal.image1");Is this possible? Or do I absolutely have to run from an external folder or convert the png to a movieclip by hand and then use attachMovie? I am desperately trying to avoid those options.The reason is that I am building a template file here and the users need to be able to import their own images which may be called anything and need to pop into movieclips.
I have a flash swf file which I don't want people to be able to download and decompile it . my first solution was to load this swf file in another swf file and put the container swf file in my site . but something's wrong . when I load my swf file in another swf file using : myloader.loadMovie ("myswffile.swf");it works fine in my local computer but when I load these two swf files to my server and try to use them there , it doesn't work .
Why does everything in Flash have to be such a pain in the ***? You think you're going to do something simple in 5 seconds of typing, but half of the times it turns out you're wasting hours searching for a way around some stupid restriction of flash.This time I made a movie that uses some variables that are specified in the .html (FlashVars). Sending these variables from html to the flash movie is no problem. But I tried to see if my movie still works when it's loaded into a holder movieclip.
