ActionScript 3.0 :: Make The Script Run In Every Frame?

I have 2 navigation buttons (next and previous) that navigates to the next and previous frames. acctually i have several buttons (differ by color) with the same instance name. i have to add eventListener every time i reach a frame with a new button. First question is why?if all "next" buttons have the same instance name, why doesn't it work on all of them?
second question:i want to check whether there is an object in the current frame, how do i apply the code to all the frames (that will work on each frame) without dupplicating it.

I have my flash on multiple scenes, and would like to play an animation when clicking on the navigation button before switching to a different scene.
I'm halfway to accomplishing this.
Here is what i used

The above code is on a blank keyframe. Changepage1 is the start of the animation and Changepage2 is the end of the animation.
Upon clicking the navigation button it plays the above scenes.
However it doesn't change scenes to scene "Home2".

Just finally making the transition from AS2 to AS3.All i need to do at this point is make two buttons which will control the movie to goto next frame and previous frame. I have gotten how to make the buttons go to a specified frame number and also a button to go to a specified external url but no success in making a simple next/previous pair of buttons.

i have a movie clip with a dynamic text field being animated...i have a text file with this in it
&textline1=time
&textline2=place
&textline3=year
&textline4=month
now how do i make the movie clip to first go from frame 1 to 10( last frame in teh movieclip) with the text time and then when the movie clip starts again it should say place and so on and so forth.. depending on how many textline variables i define in the text file?

I'm creating an effect in flash mx where lasers follow a guide path and reveal a word beneath. I was setting it up making it drop behind a square where the spark travelled and i used the setmask command to mask it, problem is, the setmask command only works with one instance at a time! Can i group multiple instances with actionscript? Or can i have it dump the squares on a mask layer with actionscript.I was also wondering if i could just make the script play on every frame without copying it to every frame? I tried the on enter frame deal but it didn't work.

1. I make a simple movie (call it movieClip) first frame has stop(); action, second frame has label playMovie, last frame has action gotoAndPlay(2); (so that movie not stop anymore2. Now I place movieClip on stage3. Question... what is code to make movieClip play frame label playMovie?

I have about 2 minutes of real life footage.
I need to put this in a "flash container" and make it advance frame by frame every time the UP key is pressed.
The faster the UP key is pressed, the faster the film should advance.
Accelleration and decelleration should seem "natural" (not bumpy and sudden).

I was looking for an answer to a question and found a similar post from nearly a year ago on here however thought it may b better to raise as a new topic since it is so old and may not get any attention due to that.
Basically I am putting together a flash (as3) website with each page being a frame on the timeline. There is a link on the main page (frame1) that links into frame 2 which then cycles through right up to frame 18 and starts again sort of like a manual slideshow. The problems is I need the second frame to start at the top instead of going into the next frame at the point you view the first frame at i.e bottom of the page. The second page has text that doesn't reach right to the bottom so all that is seen is a blank white patch which is not a good experience even though it is easy to scroll up.

Very odd but when i move my movieclip of frame one and on to say frame 5 all my images turn nasty and start pixel shifting.
if there is no fix does anyone know if there is a way to make a preloader on just one frame.

If I have for example a simple timeline with 2 labels.The first one is called "Intro" and the second one is called "Loop".So I would like to make the playhead start on frame 1 ("Intro" starts) and when it gets to frame 100 ("Loop" ends), make it loop 3 times and then go back to frame 1.So I would simply write the code:

Lets say it does, how would it increment loops to more than 1, if when its incremented to 1 the playhead goes to frame 1, runs that code again, so loops would be assigned 0 again, right?

I'm fine with on(release) to take to a new frame etc but this is my situation.
Imagine a Windows PC. You click the Start Button, it makes the start menu appear, no matter what folder/window/software you have open. Now liken it to a flash movie. Interactive, to make a button to make a set of graphics appear in a set place on the frame.

I was wondering if there is a way for a button on the main timeline that when pressed will go to the next frame in an embedded swf. The embedded swf is inside a movieclip with the instance name "gallery" so I thought the following code would work

I have to make a banner ad for my company's website that is 4 frames. It needs to play each frame about 3-4 seconds and then loop after 4th frame and continuously do so. It needs to begin this process when the web page is brought up without the user doing anything to it (so no clicking)And I have to keep it under 40k.I've found alot of tutorials for using external swf files and images but everything seems to use a button and I can't seem to get the coding down at all.

Im trying to make a back button using AS3 in CS4 here is the code im using function onClick12(event:MouseEvent):void {gotoAndPlay(50);} reo_btn.addEventListener MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP, onClick12); it brings me back to the specified frame but when I click next on that frame it brings me to the frame following the one with the back button. here is my code for one of those frames stop();
