how to make a textlink go to a frame in my timeline?Without making a button? What I need it for: A text colum with multiple links � witch needs to be adjusted now and then. I'm making it wait, not because it takes time loading (which it would not, since image1 is already on the stage, loaded up in image_loader2) but the image still takes time to show on the image_loader1 (half a second).So, I want my_btn to be functioned like this that it performs its first action which is

I want to make the timeline go to the next frame (ie gotoAndStop) only if two button instances are invisible. For the buttons I have scripted an on(release) to make them invisible, but I don't know how to use the if function to make my animation progress when they are both invisible.

i have named the symbol blog and have name the frame of where the blog page is going to be "blogframe" this line of code at the bottom is where i run into trouble the output window in Flash is saying "The blog button was clicked" just like i want it to. no errors are accouring why than is the playhead not going to frame "blogframe"? if the button is working when i click it the code is right i belive the problem here is it does not want the playhead to go to the frame i want it to. When it reaches frame 20, it goes back and plays at frame 5. Then it keeps doing this. To me this is harder than it looks
I have my flash on multiple scenes, and would like to play an animation when clicking on the navigation button before switching to a different scene.

The above code is on a blank keyframe. Changepage1 is the start of the animation and Changepage2 is the end of the animation.
Upon clicking the navigation button it plays the above scenes.
However it doesn't change scenes to scene "Home2".
Is it possible to make the timeline run backwards through the timeline, so that I don't have to waste resources on reversing my scene intro animation later on in my main timeline? (imagine the intro is zooming into a book, then the reverse effect zooming out of the book).
I have been wondering this for a long time, but I assume that this is not possible.
I have a timeline that has some label frames at the very end of the timeline. During the timeline a user will hit a button on a frame and will jump to one of the label frames. On the label frame is another button that when clicked - returns the user to the previous frame. How do I make the movie return to frame 1 - without a button - but before it reaches the label frames? In other words, by simply reaching a certain frame in the movie, I want the timeline to go back to frame 1.

I'm creating an effect in flash mx where lasers follow a guide path and reveal a word beneath. I was setting it up making it drop behind a square where the spark travelled and i used the setmask command to mask it, problem is, the setmask command only works with one instance at a time! Can i group multiple instances with actionscript? Or can i have it dump the squares on a mask layer with actionscript.I was also wondering if i could just make the script play on every frame without copying it to every frame? I tried the on enter frame deal but it didn't work.

I need to put this in a "flash container" and make it advance frame by frame every time the UP key is pressed.
The faster the UP key is pressed, the faster the film should advance.
Accelleration and decelleration should seem "natural" (not bumpy and sudden).
