As you can see, it basically just controls the position of the elements of the site (logo and gallery), and makes the background (square) stretch to fill the browser window. what's the equivalent code in AS2?
I am doing a site for my senior project in college and I was wondering what the best way to use a background image in flash is? I'd like the background image to fill the browser all the time, so resizing the browser will resize the background. Basically, is there a way to make the stage size the background? I'd like to be able to shift the background via AS tweening, but I want to make sure that what's on the stage is what's in the browser and can't see beyond that.
View 1 RepliesI am currently editing a flash file in Adobe Flash CS4 and editing the HTML file in Dreamweaver CS4. The Flash document settings are set to 31 fps 766 px (width) by 780 px (height) resolution.
Under publishing settings in Flash CS4 I have it set to Flash player 8.0 in the flash tab. Actionscript 2.0. In the HTML tab I have the Template set to Flash with FScommand. Dimensions set to 100% by 100%. Quality set to best. Window mode set to opaque windowless. HTML alignment set to top. Scale set to no scale. Flash alignment set to left (horizontal) and top (vertical).
Under page properties in Dreamweaver CS4 I have the CSS and HTML set to 0 margin dimensions.
I have taken C#, C, and Java programming classes in college and understand some of the actionscript syntax. However, I am having trouble getting the correct code that will keep my same aspect ratio while adjusting to whatever browser size is open. For example, if I have a browser window set to 1440x900. My 766x780 flash website should adjust to 1440x1466 to fill the browser window. Can someone please help me with this. Some code would be nice and instructions on where to put this code specifically. I see in Flash CS4 there is a Actions window to place code in. But in order to make sure that the code is applied to the entire website is there a special place it needs to go. It works perfectly as written. It scale the movie on resize perfectly and retains the proportions of the video. It doesn't fill the browser completely though when the proportions arent correct(leaving bars or the background color on the sides or top and bottom). I want it to scale proportionately, but fill the browser, so effectively some of the movie will be cut off.
how this site was made so that it fits every browser window completely, with no borders or distortion to the site? http:[url]....I want my site to fill the screen and the only way I know is 'exactfit' in the html but this stretches the file on certain browsers.

I have a white stage and my background is non-solid/non-uniform. My flash project will be my whole website, therefore when a browser window is larger than my stage, the stage color (white) shows in the background. Its basically a white border on the left and right. I wish I could continue my background image to cover the whole browser window. What I want to do is: if needed (if the browser window is larger than my stage) continue my background on both sides by taking a copy of my background image, flipping it horizontally, and placing it on both sides of my background. If you can imagine it, this will give a more uniform continuation of the background. I'm guessing actionscript would be the best bet?
View 2 RepliesAs you resize your browser window the background image resize proportionally. The content on the page does not resize however, it stays fixed. Also when you reach a certian size the background stops adjusting and the browser give you scroll bars.

I wanted to get a SWF file (background) stretch to fullscreen while the buttons are static in the front. View 2 Repliesi got this somewhat full browser video, and my nav isn't directly on the video, its above the video. Meaning there are no animation or elements on the video.
However, when i rollover my nav while the video plays, my nav rollovers lag, but wheni pause the video, everything is smooth like it should be?
i feel like im overlooking something here because most sites are really smooth when it comes to something this basic.
