ActionScript 3.0 :: Numeric In The End Of The Package Name?

In one of my Action Script 3 projects I need to create package names having numerics in them. For example I am writing one of the package name as com.projectname.activity101.view.*
My query is whether it is okay to have numerics in the package name as in the above example. I am asking this query as once working with Flash 7 I had used the package name ending in number that gave me some issues. When I changed the package name to have only alphabets in it the issue was resolved.

I'm running into this weird thing with ASDoc. It will only document one package function per package.For example.I have these two functions:
gs.util.printf
gs.util.ftrace
In these files:
gs/util/printf.as
gs/util/ftrace.as
The only function that get's documented in ASDocs is "printf". But I know it can do more than one. As an example, in the livedocs [URL] There are more than one functions documented.

I have an actionscript file,it has a package name,it locate C:demo directory,like follows:

Then I compile above code like following command,but it raise following error:
C:>mxmlc demoABC.as
Loading configuration file C:sdkframeworksflex-config.xml
C:demoABC.as: Error: A file found in a source-path must have the same package structure '', as the definition's package, 'demo'.Where is wrong above command?

This is with Flexbuilder 3.2, Eclipse 3.3.2.I am moving my development environment to a new machine. Actionscript classes that compiled in the old environment now get a compile error:
A file found in a source-path must have an externally visible definition. If a definition in the file is meant to be externally visible, please put the definition in a package.I do declare the package in these classes - I think failure to declare the package is the usual reason for this error.To add to the mystery, many classes in this project compile without errors.

What it is I am trying to achieve is 6 cards each with their own numeric value. (1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32) when the card is clicked its values get added together and but remain invisible until the reveal button is pressed.

I get an error with this, because sFinal is a string, and im tryin to put in an numeric value. How can I create this code so that it will work? I want the sFinal to contain "1 test". This code is useless, I know, but this is just an example.

No matter how i sort the dataTag array it never puts the information into the respective order. The 10XXX figures always come ahead of the preceeding numerals. Anyone come across this before who can point me in the right direction?

In my movie i have a shopping cart which adds up a total of all items. When the total reaches more the 1000.00 i need to add in a comma separator as in 1,000.00 if i do this manually flash no longer see's the variable as a number, how do i get around this one?

I am trying something where I have 2 Numeric Steppers. One numeric stepper holds values from 0-230 and the other from 0.00-0.99. My question is how to change the value of the first numeric stepper when the second numeric stepper goes from 0.99 to 0.00. Suppose the first numeric stepper has a value 10 and the second numeric stepper is being incremented continuously. As it reaches 0.99 and on mouse up on the up arrow, 10 should change to 11 and this numeric stepper goes to 0.00.

I am loading data from an xml file into several different arrays. Once its all information is in the arrays I then sort one of the arrays (called percentage) numerically from highest to lowest. What I can't figure out is how to reflect the changes in position in the other arrays to what has happened in the percentage array.

I started to mess up with classes to see how they work, and I'm having some troubleI'm trying to do a class where the user gives an array, and a number. The result is a trace of random X numbers, according to the number the user requested. I am build an Flash program to drill elementary math students.My problem.I am having the students enter in a Input Text box the answer to a Mathematical equation, i.e. 1+1= Input Text Variable. My issue is when I check the answer to see if it is correct Actionscript 2.0 sees the entered Input as text not a numeric value so I cannot compare it against the calculated value. How do I change the input text into a numeric value. I have tried declaring the var as Number but that didn't work.

I'm saving several arrays into a SharedObject and I'm able to read them back fine from the SharedObject when the movie loads. However, one of these arrays contains numbers instead of strings, and the contents of this numeric array show up as 'undefined' when read back from the SharedObject.

I need to scale numbers. I'm using perlin noise to create a random 2d scrolling map. I'm using Blue channel data with values between 0 and 255 (I believe).Each pixel represent a value of height of a tile. For that reason I have to transform this value into a valid value.For example, If my 2d scrolling map has 20 tiles of maximum height and the pixel in the first position is 100.I have to transform 100 into the scale 1 to 20.

I am working on a file that displays two variables, a and b. The two variables are percentages, and they both start at value 50. Now what I want to do is to display both variables, and when the user presses the 'up' key a should go up and b should go down. When the user presses the 'down' key, it should be the other way around. And a+b= always 100.
I made this little action script:

var bNum:Number = 50;

Then I've made two text areas, both in their own layer. I've put them both on 'dynamic text' and where it read 'Var:', I have entered 'a' for the first and 'b' for the second. In both text areas, I entered '50'. Obviously, it doesn't work. I test the movie, and nothing happens when I press the 'up' or 'down' keys.

I found the fantastic resize-gallery of scotty and tried to modifie it for me.But Ive no idea how to change the thumbnails to numbers. So that the number of pics is taken out of the XML File and automaticly displayed and You can use them as buttons.
