I have a small program developed in Visual Basi 6 and would like other users to access it through my Flash Website. Is it possible to do so. It is a database program that retrieves data from MS Access database which is used as backend.

I had posted a similar query earlier but didn't get a satisfactory reply. I need to edit a flash website (only the text needs to be changed). Which software program should I use ? It is required to convert every text on the site (links or no links) to be converted from language A to language B.
View 1 Replieswhy the buttons in the flash banner I created in Flash CS4 work when I preview it in either Flash or HTML in the Flash CS4 program, but when I go to load it into a html document in Dreamweaver CS4 and preview it in a firefox or IE browser, the banner comes up fine, but the buttons this time will not work. The buttons are displayed with there animation and sound, but the links will not work. I have tried scripts in AS2 and AS3.

View 1 Repliesam i publishing the movie incorrectly? It works great when I preview the flash file (cntrl+enter), but after I publish it and insert it into the html (in dreamweaver), the file shows up and animates perfectly, but when clicked, no link... It doesn't do anything
View 3 RepliesI'm working on my companys website and I am trying to make a link from flash open the default mail program so they can send us an email. All of that works fine and dandy.... on PCs. While using a mac I was not able to get the email to go through, it will just send back an undeliverable email. Does anyone know of a solution for this or am I going to have to completely change the way that I'm doing it?

I own and I am trying learn and use the CS3 Master collection which comes with Flash 9. I own and had a website built several (9) years ago which I am trying to update the files, So basiclly, I am trying to make updated changes to my own orginal .swf files and todays Flash program give me the message of "cannot open protected movie" I was not ever aware we locked any of the oringal .swf files we produced.

I have found little to no flash to C++ documentation, let alone Flash to C++ over the internet. What I want to do: -Have flash send a string (or number) from a website to a server running a C++ program -The C++ program will receive the data and do something with it -After that, the C++ program would send back a response -Flash would then accept the response My goal is to make a simple MMO, but I can't start it without a server program to handle the players. I don't need a super-complicated example, just something simple, kinda secure and coded in AS3 and C++.

View 1 RepliesI am making a flash site and there is a main SWF which loads and unloads all other SWFs into and from it. For example, there are links to pages Home, Biography, Gallery, etc. When you click the Gallery link, gallery.swf loads and it is added to the main SWF.
So here's my problem: when I test my movie, everything works perfectly, but when I open the SWF that was created by testing movie in a stand-alone Flash Player or a browser, those SWF's sometimes don't load. If I click Biography link, for example, it usually doesn't load biography.swf but if I click Gallery link, which may or may not load gallery.swf, and then Biography link, there's a greater chance that biography.swf will be loaded.

The problem is no matter what I have tried I cannot get the subject and body text to show any text. The email client open and the correct address is shown. Is this a problem with trying to run it locally and not from server or is there a problem with the code?

I would like to display the image in a browser window so that the user could print it using the built in browser functionality or right click on the image and save it. Can this be done without requesting server side code to do it?
I have created a flash website which contains a link to an outside website. When I click on the link, it takes me to that outside website in the same browser window. To go back to my website, I have to use the back arrow. I want to change the link to the outside website so that the link opens in a new window. Therefore, if somebody goes to the link, when they finish they can close the new link's window and the original window with my website will still remain, without losing both upon closing. What do I need to adjust in order to do this?

It says to make sure the path or file name is correct... but the names are perfectly fine.it may be a security sandbox issue, but I don't know how to check that let alone fix it.Here are some of the code samples.
