I click to open the Adobe Flash Cs4. It open a license agreement that i press agree on. After that, the whole program shuts down. It even shows that it shut down in task manager. It ran before, but it froze and the program shut down by itself.

But when I upload the site to a server on the Internet, one component does not work. When you click on the link an image should open in a popup window. The popup window opens but the image does not appear.
Unfortunately, we have not been able to figure out why it works on the disc and not on the server.
I have just moved to cs3 (AS3). I am unable to make some programs run. For example I have downloaded the photo viewer from actionscript.org V2/Page1.html but when I run this program, it shows just blank screen nothing else. Even SWF file is showing the same. And it shows the error, "A definition for the document class could not be found in the classpath, so one will be automatically generated in the swf file upon export." While classpath is the same as of .FLA file.

My question is I intend to write software using flash that I can then sell commercially but im confused as to what licence I would need to do that? or if my CS5 licence would need to be valid for as long as I sell my software..... so far I have the trial version of CS5 Pro to continue coding but after reading this part of the user agreement (see below) it suggests that I cannot sell software with any 'output' files I produce during the 30 day trial... is this correct? what licence, if any, do I need to sell my flash programs created using CS5 Pro and will I need to keep it renewed once the program development is finished?

View 1 RepliesI'm working on my companys website and I am trying to make a link from flash open the default mail program so they can send us an email. All of that works fine and dandy.... on PCs. While using a mac I was not able to get the email to go through, it will just send back an undeliverable email. Does anyone know of a solution for this or am I going to have to completely change the way that I'm doing it?

I own and I am trying learn and use the CS3 Master collection which comes with Flash 9. I own and had a website built several (9) years ago which I am trying to update the files, So basiclly, I am trying to make updated changes to my own orginal .swf files and todays Flash program give me the message of "cannot open protected movie" I was not ever aware we locked any of the oringal .swf files we produced.

The problem is no matter what I have tried I cannot get the subject and body text to show any text. The email client open and the correct address is shown. Is this a problem with trying to run it locally and not from server or is there a problem with the code?

I work with Flash Pro allmost 11 hours per day and every while i get a error which messes up everything. Approximetly i get this after about 2-3 hours withevery project.After i get this error there is no chance to test movies afterwards.I see a fast flash of the loader window but it dissapears so fast i cant even really see if it is loader.

Scenario: The company I work for recently attained a client that has a website with flash programming on it. The client recently asked to have improvements made to their site. Part of the improvement deals with modifying the flash program. The client was able to hand over to the company I work for the source for their site which includes the adobe files for the flash program.
When I attempt to access the main fla program of the client's website, i receive the following message:"an error occurred opening the file."
what options are available for me to attempt to read the fla file?
i am loading some pages/images from some folder whose path is specified in the Xml used like this:

I am using Chinese /Japanese text in this Now the problem is that when i run it in the flash it loads those pages and when i load it in the browser then that file doesn't load anything.

Added '-locale=en_US -source-path=locale/{locale}' to the Actionscript compiler arguments Added 'framework.swc' to the library path
But now I get this error: unable to open 'locale/en_US' I looked up and I do have the following directory inside my Flex Builder 3 installation:

I wanted to import an older FB project into the flash builder on my new pc, but I only have the filestructure. So I used 'import>existing projects into workspace'.The files seem to be intact still, but the project now gives me an error regarding an swc in the bin folder:

I was curious if you can take an existing flash program and get it to run in Air, or do you have to recode the entire thing. I see lots of stuff on Flex to Air, but not much of anything on Flash to Air.
