ActionScript 3.0 :: Remove An External Image From Website

I'm creating a website for a cabin and I want the users to be able to view a calendar that exists on the reservations website. The calendar is constantly updating as people are reserving cabins. I want this calendar to dynamically load from the external server onto my website for people to view. Then once they view it - I want to remove it on the next mouse click. Right now it stays and ends up on every page in the website. I think it should be easy and I have some sort of misunderstanding of how to do it. I have literally spent days trying to get this stupid thing to work. It's driving me crazy!!! Here's what I have right now.

I got a template off a site (flashmo) and I want to remove the website name in this script where it says "flashmo_contents". What is "flashmo_contents" referring to here and how would do i go about changing the name of that? If i change it my website doesn't work properly. I am trying to make a Image Gallery for my website, I have a limited space to work with.
I am looking at doing it in Javascript but thought I could do the same thing in Flash. (maybe :P)
This is the Javascript idea.
Basically I would want it to be the same as this but the size i want instead of a small one like that.
As I have a limited space I dont want small thumbnails for people to click on and then have the larger view updated.
I would also want the controls and description to be viable all the time minus the play / pause button.
Is this possible? If so how can I do it? Is their already something out that will do this?
If possible I would like to have it database driven (the images and the description) to make it easier so I dont have to keep manually updating the flash.
Also can it be friendly to both Portrait and Landscape images?
and last but not least (and not necessary) can the images then beable to be clicked on and open up to full size ...

I am quite a rookie when it comes to action script soI made myself an advert from using some video and the filesize is obviously quite large (1mb). The problem is that the sitewhere the advert is to go only accepts file sizes up to 50kb. My plan is therefore to make a smaller version of the advertwhich just displays the company logo, but then loads the other .swffile from my website.Firstly is this possible....... and second how do I do itspell it out really simply as I always seem to get lost inall the gargon. I have a web banner inside a website, I want to when i click this banner, to open up a external swf on top of the website.So not inside the banner but somewhere else on the side.For example when i click the web banner, a bird flies across the website.So the swf has transparent background. Then in a few seconds the external file unloads.

Say I load a movie clip "ball.swf", and I attach it to the scene. But then I change root frames, and need to reattach it (I DON'T WANT IT TO REDOWNLOAD!) and it needs to be external,Will the browser cache it, so it doesn't have to be redownloaded, when you call it to be attached?

I've read similar problems in other posts but I can't seem to find the right solution. I'm trying to convert an AS2 project to AS3. The old project has a series of buttons which load an external swf into an empty movieclip on the stage. Pretty simple using loadMovie/unloadMovie. I'm able to load the external file using the loader object[code]...
My problem occurs when I try to load another movie. I use the same function and just pass the external movie name. I can remove the external movie from my placeholder movieclip so it is not visible on the stage but it still plays. I can hear the audio as the new movie is playing and get output errors because the first movie is firing off code that can't complete.

I know you can save it to your hard drive using:

I am reasonable new to flash and I'm trying to create a image gallery for my website. The gallery has thumbnails along the side and when ever you click on one the corresponding image slides in to the center stage. I'll post the code I have so far then explain what keeps going wrong.......

I'm making my own website on flash cs4 and I really like websites with backgrounds that don't have borders, they just have an image or a design or both that fit the whole inside of the browser window like this website, [URL] is there a way to accomplish this in flash cs4? I know that you can edit the borders in the html embed code for the .swf but even if you put 0px for all the borders, if I go on another computer with different resolution settings or a computer with a bigger monitor and a bigger browser window, borders are still present around the .swf.

I'm an intern for a small college and have been given the task of designing the athletic departments intro page. Nine different sports teams need to be represented (football, volleyball, cross country, etc.). I have all the visual elements in place but I need action script to work for bringing up a randomly selected picture from a pool of pictures for each sport. In other words, after the slide show cycles through each of nine sports, how can I make it so a different picture is displayed the next time through (for each sport). Or if the page is refreshed, a different image is displayed. My boss is not familiar with flash and needs a folder that she can put images in for each sport after I am finished with my internship.

So, I have to make a link to an external URL on a flash website, but I want it to appear in my flash website. So like the top banner of my flash website appears on top of the external link so that way users can just click on a link on my top banner and go back to my home page of the site.

I am trying to link some text to an external web site. I am using the following code, but whenever I try to launch the external web site, I get prompted by Adobe Flash Player Security saying that it has stopped a potentially unsafe operation. It then tells me that I need to change my security settings in order to view the website. I am wondering if there is any way around stopping the security check, or is this built into Flash?

I have a pretty simple gallery that loads images into a loader when thumbnails are clicked on. I figured out that the images are actually loading on top of one another and since my images aren't all the same size you can see the one behind it. I am guessing I could use a currentImage variable to then tween out but

Through FMS streaming I am receiving a stream from other user attached camera which I am playing in my file through video component in flash.
When the other user stops the streaming by closing his attached camera then last captured video image picture is saved in video component.
I want that to remove and place a graphic instead.
Have also tried seek(0),video.clear(),pause() etc.

How do I remove an image using action script. I am making a jukebox that shows an image along with playing a playlist. Both the image and the playlist are in xml. I have a reset button that resets the jukebox, but the image stays in the same place.

Im once again stuck on actionscript 3.0. I am currently trying to load an external swf into my current swf by using a button. This works perfectly.I then made a button to unload my swf. This works too.

Looking at this gave me a new idea, which I have seen being done in Actionscript 2.0.Instead of having a close button inside my current swf file, I would like to have the close button INSIDE "Extswf.swf". This would allow me to make the swf exactly what my original idea wanted it to be.

I loaded an external SWF file to my timeline using MovieClipLoader method. myMCL1.loadClip("game.swf", 5); It loaded fine. But then with a click of a button I need to go to the next frame and I want this MC to go away. I've tried everything I knew:

I have a menu with buttons on the stage that when clicked load external swf but the problem, although i can remove them from the stage, is that they are still playing which gives my site performance problems. I gave weak references to the Event Listeners but i didn�t remove them.Here�s the code:

I have managed to load external swf's fine and also unload them when a new one is loaded, but now I need the swf's that are loaded to appear below (meaning on a lower layer effectively) than my navigation, which is in the main swf. I can get that to happen by creating a movieClip on the stage on a layer beneath the one my navigation is on and loading the swf into that mc, but then I don't know how to clear the swf from that mc so another one can load there in it's place.

In this project, a tile list of a dozen motorcycle thumb images should show up on the right side of the stage, and when clicked, a large image and descriptive text should tween into center stage. The .fla project works perfectly when compiled to a swf from within Flash locally. When published live on a website, it's partly inop. All of the images and information are in an xml file. All images are actually on the server, and in a few places simultaneously...
The root, the 'images/' folder where the xml actually calls for them to be. No images show up. Also, five album cover art thumbnails should populate another small tile list at the bottom. Now, the music plays when you click a phantom tile list item, so that proves the xml is kosher. but none of the motorcycle images show up at all, not even the tile list 'chrome'... yet the chrome for the album art does show up. Creating nice swfs is one thing, but it's all for naught if I can't publish 'em live.

I've done my fair bit of HTML coding and work fairly well with CSS but i've never ever done a mouseover in flash.. Now, the website's text, all of it, is simply located on a text.txt file that the flash file reads and incorporates onto the website.. All text and images come from this text file. This is what I want to do.
Click on Enter site, then when it loads, click on the "Selling" tab at the top of the site. On the "My Listings" section is where I want to have the mouseover text and the "Market Analytics" section (which we'll be renaming) is where we'd like the image to actually appear. My question to you is can this be done within this environment and how so?
I can edit JavaScript somewhat, though its been a while.

But I would like to have images presented using JQuery slider Galleria [URL] Basically, the web is built of the menu on the left. when clicking one of the items from the menu i would like the Jquery Slider show in the middle (over the flash, may be box 700x500).
