ActionScript 3.0 :: Publishing SWF To Website - Image / Features INOP

In this project, a tile list of a dozen motorcycle thumb images should show up on the right side of the stage, and when clicked, a large image and descriptive text should tween into center stage. The .fla project works perfectly when compiled to a swf from within Flash locally. When published live on a website, it's partly inop. All of the images and information are in an xml file. All images are actually on the server, and in a few places simultaneously...
The root, the 'images/' folder where the xml actually calls for them to be. No images show up. Also, five album cover art thumbnails should populate another small tile list at the bottom. Now, the music plays when you click a phantom tile list item, so that proves the xml is kosher. but none of the motorcycle images show up at all, not even the tile list 'chrome'... yet the chrome for the album art does show up. Creating nice swfs is one thing, but it's all for naught if I can't publish 'em live.

I use CS4 Flash 10.0.2 and after publishing a website (tried few templates), it comes out with bothering scratching/metallic sound. Basically all sounds, effects are distorted with a metallic sounds. If I do it few times, or shut down Flash and start it again and then publish it, the sound it is OK. What am I doing wrong or is it a setting that I should do to avoid this nuisance? It does not matter if I publish it with Flash v6 or v8 and moreover, it happens to different flash websites while using Flash CS4 for Windows and also for MAC. It must be something that I have to set but have no idea.

I am working on my first Flash website for my photography, and along with placing watermarks on my images, I want to disable the users ability to "Right Click", and other saving options.
(By the way, I do not know if this matters but I am using "Adobe Flash CS5", on a Mac, running the most up-to-date version of "Snow Leopard". Also, I assume in-order to disable "Right Click" and other saving/downloading features I would have to enter some code; Can you either post the code, or put the website where I can get it?)

I cannot publish anymore my Web site. When I do "test animation" I got no error and my site is Cool! But When I try to publish is, it stop at the middle of the bar and say that the police should be incorporated with "Texte -> Incorporate the Police". I did it many times, saving the doc and tring to republish my doc with no result. Everytime I try to publish I got the same mistake! I cannot compile my server anymore and make any progress.

how to create some flash AS3 applications. Well, one important component of that was learning how to actually publish them so they're available on the web. And that's what is getting me now. My project page here

i want to convert a swf to image on my website. a user makes some changes on the stage and if he press a button "get image link", the swf stage will be converted to an image and its image link will appear within a box. like imageshack.. so user can use it in forums as image. how can i do this? i even dont know it is about flash or html...

I am trying to make a Image Gallery for my website, I have a limited space to work with.
I am looking at doing it in Javascript but thought I could do the same thing in Flash. (maybe :P)
This is the Javascript idea.
Basically I would want it to be the same as this but the size i want instead of a small one like that.
As I have a limited space I dont want small thumbnails for people to click on and then have the larger view updated.
I would also want the controls and description to be viable all the time minus the play / pause button.
Is this possible? If so how can I do it? Is their already something out that will do this?
If possible I would like to have it database driven (the images and the description) to make it easier so I dont have to keep manually updating the flash.
Also can it be friendly to both Portrait and Landscape images?
and last but not least (and not necessary) can the images then beable to be clicked on and open up to full size ...

I'm compiling with the SDK 4.5.1 (latest I think) in FlashDevelop, and I have the settings of the project to export for Flash Player 11. I also have set the wmode param to "direct", and my browser flash player is version 11 also.
Is there anything else I should do in order to use the Flash player 11 hardware acceleration features. To be honest... I can not see any difference in my game between flash player 10 or flash player 11...

I am reasonable new to flash and I'm trying to create a image gallery for my website. The gallery has thumbnails along the side and when ever you click on one the corresponding image slides in to the center stage. I'll post the code I have so far then explain what keeps going wrong.......

I'm creating a website for a cabin and I want the users to be able to view a calendar that exists on the reservations website. The calendar is constantly updating as people are reserving cabins. I want this calendar to dynamically load from the external server onto my website for people to view. Then once they view it - I want to remove it on the next mouse click. Right now it stays and ends up on every page in the website. I think it should be easy and I have some sort of misunderstanding of how to do it. I have literally spent days trying to get this stupid thing to work. It's driving me crazy!!! Here's what I have right now.

I'm making my own website on flash cs4 and I really like websites with backgrounds that don't have borders, they just have an image or a design or both that fit the whole inside of the browser window like this website, [URL] is there a way to accomplish this in flash cs4? I know that you can edit the borders in the html embed code for the .swf but even if you put 0px for all the borders, if I go on another computer with different resolution settings or a computer with a bigger monitor and a bigger browser window, borders are still present around the .swf.

I'm an intern for a small college and have been given the task of designing the athletic departments intro page. Nine different sports teams need to be represented (football, volleyball, cross country, etc.). I have all the visual elements in place but I need action script to work for bringing up a randomly selected picture from a pool of pictures for each sport. In other words, after the slide show cycles through each of nine sports, how can I make it so a different picture is displayed the next time through (for each sport). Or if the page is refreshed, a different image is displayed. My boss is not familiar with flash and needs a folder that she can put images in for each sport after I am finished with my internship.

I'm trying to put together a Product Features Application, which allows visitors to our Website to view what their product will look like with add-on products via a simple checklist, and image layering platform. So essentially:
- Visitor see's the main Product (Fireplace) on Website Page- Visitor sees three Lists containing Checkboxes below the main image- Visitor clicks one checkbox from each list, and sees that ADD-ON product added to the main image above (so that they can view what the product will look like). I'm using CS4, and I'm slightly new to Flash.

What existing features are not well known but very useful?MXML being used in Flex Framework became quite popular language because Flash Player is something every PC has and Flash Builder and Flash Catalist are quite popular Adobe programs.specify one feature per answer, and read all answers before posting a dupliate.It's not always a great idea to use these hidden features; often times they are surprising and confusing to others reading your code.

I am considering upgrading my copy of Flash Builder to 4.5, and would like a list of the new features in the new version before I commit. I have heard that the ASUnit tests integrate better than previously, and that there are some nice features like quick fixes, is there anything else? Finally, based on your experiences using it, are there any shortcomings to look out for / avoid?

I'm trying to build a little app that will show a car/motorcycle with various X/Y coordinate points on it. When you hover on those points, some information about that part of the bike/car comes up. Kind of like a feature list. I've seen it done in several places before, but was hoping to find an example of how it's done.

I've done my fair bit of HTML coding and work fairly well with CSS but i've never ever done a mouseover in flash.. Now, the website's text, all of it, is simply located on a text.txt file that the flash file reads and incorporates onto the website.. All text and images come from this text file. This is what I want to do.
Click on Enter site, then when it loads, click on the "Selling" tab at the top of the site. On the "My Listings" section is where I want to have the mouseover text and the "Market Analytics" section (which we'll be renaming) is where we'd like the image to actually appear. My question to you is can this be done within this environment and how so?
I can edit JavaScript somewhat, though its been a while.

everything is working well with the exception of the background image/stage. Whenever I preview it in a browser, the site gets stuck in the upper left corner. I need it to automatically resize according the to viewers browser size. How do I do this? From what I've seen online, it involves possibly putting everything in a movieclip, which I can do, I just don't know how to proceed from there.

I was hoping i could get some assistance. I need to create a survey as an executable file and thought of doing this in flash. There are 4 pages. 1st would have basic info and allows the user to select one of three options.. which will then direct them to the next 3 pages respectively.. eg Option 1 would be page 2, option 2 page 3, option 4 page 4.
My question is can the flash file allow the user to input text data and retain it in the file, also upload an attachment. I suppose the best way i can descibe it would be to think of it along the lines of having a word document.. so if you pretend the word docucment is the "Survey software" file.. then when you open word it has questions and hyperlinks to other pages.. and you can also insert/embed other files into it.. Then when you save and close it, its just a word document which contains other files inside. Am i completely on the wring track of thinking to use Flash to do this?
