I am trying to put a flash background on my website that will loop over and over.I created the file in after effects but understand that it is best to export to flash to keep file size down.I have tried exporting from after affects using F4L, FLV, and XFL and always seem to get a file size of 2-4 MB.My video is only 8 seconds long and I exported at half resolution so I am unsure why it is so largeWhen I import F4L and FLV to flash and then export as an SWF file, the file does not work on my website(nothing shows). It seems to only work when I import as an XFL and then export as an SWF.Also, how do I get the video to loop? Do I do this in flash or in the object tags in my website

View 2 RepliesI'm making my own website on flash cs4 and I really like websites with backgrounds that don't have borders, they just have an image or a design or both that fit the whole inside of the browser window like this website, [URL] is there a way to accomplish this in flash cs4? I know that you can edit the borders in the html embed code for the .swf but even if you put 0px for all the borders, if I go on another computer with different resolution settings or a computer with a bigger monitor and a bigger browser window, borders are still present around the .swf.

I need it to automatically resize according the to viewers browser size. How do I do this? From what I've seen online, it involves possibly putting everything in a movieclip, which I can do, I just don't know how to proceed from there.

When I use file > publish settings > HTML > publish - It creates the HTML document but any area outside the stage is colored with the default stage color- Can this be set up in Flash or changed in HTML?

Is there a major issue with rendering Flash in Safari?
I have search for a way to display, for example, Adobe Home Page in Safari and be able to see all the menus "on top" and have not found a solution.
I have tried setting wmode to either opaque or transparent but no change.
I am using the latest download of Safari (vs 4.0.4[531.21.10]) on Windows 7.
With the aid of Dreamweaver CS4 I've manged to create a temp 'under construction website'. This website has a fullscreen .swf looping in the background.
I have made 4 of these very short looping .swf files.Is it possible, by adding one simple button on the screen, for the user click and the next .swf background starts playing? So basically this button acts a 'next' button, and each times it's clicked the next .swf starts to play.

I have followed advice from others about keeping image small and link movies rather than embed but still slow, the swf file is about 7.9mb which i thought was ok for the size of flash file. Does anyway else know where I have gone wrong whether it be the embedding or some other area.

Otherwise it is working all good, but I'd like it to stay put at the start. Right now it immidiately starts scrolling to right unless I move the mouse on top to stop it. So ye, i need to have it sitting still and only scroll when the mouse is at the edges of the document.

View 3 RepliesI have a white stage and my background is non-solid/non-uniform. My flash project will be my whole website, therefore when a browser window is larger than my stage, the stage color (white) shows in the background. Its basically a white border on the left and right. I wish I could continue my background image to cover the whole browser window. What I want to do is: if needed (if the browser window is larger than my stage) continue my background on both sides by taking a copy of my background image, flipping it horizontally, and placing it on both sides of my background. If you can imagine it, this will give a more uniform continuation of the background. I'm guessing actionscript would be the best bet?

I have several transparent product images (.png or .gif) and a patterend background. I import my .png or .gif image and convert it to a symbol. I drag the symbol on my layer but as soon as i add a keyframe, the product image background turns white and loses it's transparency!

I'm trying to create a background sound in flash website. I created play/pause buttons and it works fine, but when the sound is over it stops. What I want is the sound to loop, not to stop. I tried different things but I can;t get it working as I wish. Here's my code:

I've seen a tutorial for changing the background inside of flash based on buttons to click. However, these colors were palettes and not of backgrounds such as jpeg. What I'd like to do is to create 3 buttons and place them on my flash website. These three buttons allow the user to click on them thus changing the background. So if you're visiting the about page and click one of these buttons, I don't want the user to go back to the home page after clicking.
View 1 RepliesI have been struggling with this with CS4 and CS5. I am working on an animation with a couple of characters comprised of several pngs I converted to symbols. When one characters symbols overlap another characters the swf file shows the stage color rather than the background image I have placed in the file. I can publish it as an html with the option of playing it windowless transparent and it will remove this problem. But I would like to just be able to play the swf file without this issue.

I have come quite a long way and i have made a site in flash but i just have a question.I have been using an image as my background and i am happy with the way flash automatically scales all the objects in my file but the background image does not scale. Is there a way to do this? I have found out things online which show me how to add auto-resizing to the background but this knocks off the flash auto scaling/resizing for everything else.

Object has already been created in Adobe Illustrator, and now will be dropped into flash for adding movement. The destination commercial will be created in Sony Vegas, with the settings of (Australian) PAL television (25 fps, 576x720 pixels, lower field first).Thus keeping it simple, I want to set Adobe flash with the same output format, meaning that the canvas will have to be 576x720 pixels at 25 fps. So far this seems to have worked okay.Now I'm wanting to get rid of the canvas colour, just like I have here in this photoshop screen shot.
Judging by the colour palette in Flash Professional, it looks like it can't be done. I've checked "transparent palette" through yahoo and google, and had no results. The adobe documentation only details how to remove a background in Photoshop.
I wonder how you can put a fullsize background image to a website using Flash, similar to how www.zugspitze.de does.I can copy the HTML code but what does the flash document looks like?
