i was wondering whether it is possible to turn code generated animation (like those made by tweening engines) into frames in order to consume less cpu.

I am building a Flash Application which will allow a user to mix two mp3 files and send the mixed result to our server.

Using Pixel Bender I am already able to create a mix:

Not sure if the event.byteArray can be transformed to an mp3 file? Ideally we'd send the mp3 to our server for uploading.

my saving part, where user select the necessary equipments & draw the connections. user are also able to generate the cable connection list in datagrid component.

I understand that flash doesnt provide saving to image technically, have seen some websites on the teaching & i tried to apply on my flash.

I have this error: 1061: Call to a possibly undefined method save through a reference with static type flash.net:FileReference. at source: fileRef.save(ba,"EMC"+i+".jpg");

I want to save the file locally inside harddisk, without any server script.

I need to convert a swf movie that is created entirely through code (with the help of TweenLite) to a .flv format. The issue here is that I need to 1) Do this as a batch process, and that 2) since the swf is entirely generated by code it only has 1 frame and as such normal conversions like from CS5.5 to to the .avi format give me just 1 frame in the resulting video format. Is there a free converter out there that can get past the fact that my video is technically only 1 frame long and can handle batch jobs?

There is a pretty good class created by senocular, is called "Path"; basically it allow you to create paths and also create animations using those (like when you use the old good guides on flash).

To create an animation you just ask for a position using a number between 0 and 1. So just using some setInterval is easy to create the animation using a dinamically created path as a guide. The Problem is: How it creates the animation in curves; because is not doing it like flash does it; it basically does something like this

I'm using this code for tweening:

ActionScript Code:
var myTween:Tween = new Tween(star, "alpha", Strong.easeOut, 0, 0.9, 3, true);

And I also have some extra code that spawns stars all over the place.If you view my swf, http:[url]...., you can notice that the stars appear to 'flash' first before settling down.I'm simply wondering if this is some problem of the Tween class or if I set something wrong. Something I found odd was when I removed my code that generated a random colour for my star,

I am trying to create a code such that everytime a button is pressed a random number is generated between 0-14. With each of the 15 numbers (0-14) only being hit 10 times. I'm having problems with many files losing their assets from the timeline after a save and reopening the file in Mac OS X Snow Leopard. This is happens quite often now and there seems to be no pattern to it. For example, I will open an existing Flash animation complete with sound and artwork, make changes to the animation timing, test the SWF and everything looks good, then save. After reopening the exact same file, there will be audio that was on the timeline will be an empty frame. In addition, there is art work that was swapped out or updated to a character and the symbols becomes empty after reopening.

It works by reading an existing Class file, parses it, generates an Interface-like .as file for it, and saves it locally, all from within FlexBuilder. It works perfectly but I'd like to improve it by having it automatically open, modify and save the files with only a few user clicks required.Currently I'm using FileFilter, but this requires that the programmer manualy select each file to parse, and then manually select where to save the output - it's tedious.Normally I'd simply use AIR, but because of my company's security policies I am not allowed to create my own AIR applications.

I'm still sort of a knucklehead when it comes to using just code to do things like animate image transitions.I'd like to create is an endlessly looping movie that loads 3 images, then fades out each one using a tween to reveal the image just beneath it.
