ActionScript 3.0 :: Swd File For Remote Debugging Is Not Created?
Nov 3, 2010
When I set the 'Publishing Setting' to 'Permit Debugging', Flash never generates the swd file when the target script language is AS3.If I change the script language to AS2 it generates it.I have tried on CS3 and CS5.how to generate this swd file for AS3 projetcs?I have tried with large files and with empty files always with the same result.
I am ctrl+ shift + enter on my .fla file. And have put my breakpoint on one of as file. I am opening same swf file in web browser. I have set enable remote debugging in flash. But still not able to go the breakpoint
I'm trying to debug a swf in Flash Professional CS5.5, by running the debug-> Debug Movie -> In Flash Professional. When I do I get teh Adobe Flash Player Security window. It says you are trying to connect to and the I.P. address of the server (e.g. 203.22.35.101). I've opened the settings and added that I.P. under Advanced->Trusted Location Settings... that doesn't help. btw: If I run -> Control -> Test Movie -> In Flash Professional it works fine, but then I can't debug.
I have installed the Remote Debugger, a couple of times, apparently without any problem. When I use the Remote Debugger in AS3, the message appears in Flash output as "Waiting for Player to connect ..." until the timeout. The debugger does not start, by itself. Neither, I can find the Debugger in any folder; like in "Program Files/Adobe/...... etc." It does not show up in the list of Programs, either.
I have a flash app based off the Screen shot maker found here: [URL]
Creating a screen shot from an flv on the same server works fine, but when I try to load the contentPath from a remote server the video plays fine, but the .jpg generated in the PHP file is blank with a white background.
Here's the ActionScript:
PHP Code:
import flash.display.BitmapData; vid.contentPath = flvurl; var vidid = vidid;
I have a problem loading remote XML file into SWF file. Im doing a banner for a client with adds that is supose to load constantly updated XML file from my clients server and load some images into flash form it. Everything works fine when i test the movie (CTRL+ENTER), but when i publish it and test it from explorer, XML file is just not loading into flash.
This seem like a silly question but as far as I've found: It's impossible to reload an xml file from a remote location while the SWF is running.
For example, I have a kiosk project that will run 24/7 (with a restart each night). I have an "calendar events" loading off an XML file that I want to keep on a webserver so I can update the kiosk by editing the XML file. However, the SWF caches the first XML file and keeps reusing it. I'm testing this by triggering a function that reloads the XML file with a button click.
I found trick that concats a unique ID to the file name which prevents using the old file but that means I'll have an ever growing list of XML files in the Temporary Internet Files folder.
I would like to do a URLRequest to a PHP file which contains xml, and the PHP file will be living on a seperate server from my flash file. I understand there are security issues in this sort of thing. figure out how to make this work?
I'm trying for making out application for vod.I want to know how a user can make his file readable by the AMS for vod when file is at different PC and AMS( includes swf and HTMl files) is at different PC.
I am trying to upload the files to the remote server using PHP with Flex interface. If it's not localhost, it shows the security error. I have already put the crossdomain.xml in the tomcat web app root directory to allow all the domains. However, the security error is still shown when I tried to upload the file.
I tried to search this forum but its goes to a blank white page??Anyhow I'm trying to open a remote text file, the code below works locally I need to make this open from a remote server with a specified URL.
Ext_text = new LoadVars(); Ext_text.onLoad = addText; Ext_text.load("ContactUs.txt");
i want to do is read variables from a php file on a remote server. i have the php file on the server and im echoing back a result. all i need in plain english is the AS3 to intercept read and display this variable in a text box.
I have two variables that I would like to store in a remote data file which can be accessed by my Flash file. It is for a voting system, so the first variable would be a counter that is incremented each time a user votes, and the second would be the total rating. The average rating would then be calculated from these.
How would one store, retrieve, and then update these variables from the data file?
I can create the system within a single Flash file for a single session, but obviously I'd like multiple users opening the file simultaneously to be able to access the data and update it.
We have a Flash application provided by a vendor. It reads its parameters from an xml file on our web server's file system. However, it can also be spoofed to read its parameters from an xml file sitting on another domain's web server. At first we thought crossdomain.xml might be able to fix this, but we've researched it and understand the purpose of crossdomain.xml. It won't solve this issue.Are there any ways of enforcing that a Flash application reads its input file only from the same server where the Flash application was served? Or is the recommendation just to initialize variables within the Flash app, not relying on an external file.
I'd like my users to be able to easily navigate their files, which live on my server. Is there an obvious / built in way to build the front end for this in Flex? My ideal scenario would be to have something that looks like the local file browser - but I'm pretty sure that's not an option (although I'd love to be wrong)
i try to load file from remote server and open the file with default application.
private function getRemoteCourr(PathFichier:String, FileName:String):void { urlStream = new URLStream(); fileData = new ByteArray(); var urlRemoteCourr:String = new urlManager().urlCourriersPat();
My client has asked me to provide a template for an investor relations section of their website. The HTML page or template for this page will be at the service providers site, but all the images etc. for the page will be linked to files on my clients server. Everything looks fine, but the absolute URL's in the .swf file back to my clients site aren't working.
This is what the service provider's guidlines say, but I'm not sure where the code is supposed to go:
Similarly, newer versions of the Flash Media Player installed by most users have a high level of security enabled by default. This is done to prevent Flash movies from playing on web pages that are hosted on different domains than the movie itself (again, to combat "phishing" or "spoofing").
I want my app (AIR app ported on iOS) to be able to show file located on the remote server and open it with default app (if there's one on device). Is it possible (maybe one can somehow use openWithDefaultApp here)?
UPD: I succeed with downloading (into File.documentsDirectory). I can't force iPad to open downloaded files.
UPD2: I tried to use both openWithDefaultApp and NavigateToUrl.
I made web banners with the intent that the shell being the initial swf, could pull an external swf file from a remote site. View here: [URL]. The main .swf file has to be under 30k, which it is. now the other .swf files load when you rollover the buttons. this method fulfills the 30k requirement on the advertisers side - also allows the creative to have higher res images/swf files hosted on our site/side. In testing it locally, it all works great. But when I moved the .swf file to [URL] to test it - the files hang up when you mouse over the buttons - is there a chance you could check out my source? Here: [URL]. I checked out the security settings. security.allowDomain, not sure if I'm using it correctly?
