ActionScript 3.0 :: Remote Debugging - Message Appears In Flash Output As "Waiting For Player To Connect ..."
Nov 10, 2009
I have installed the Remote Debugger, a couple of times, apparently without any problem. When I use the Remote Debugger in AS3, the message appears in Flash output as "Waiting for Player to connect ..." until the timeout. The debugger does not start, by itself. Neither, I can find the Debugger in any folder; like in "Program Files/Adobe/...... etc." It does not show up in the list of Programs, either.
Using Flex Builder 3 : I have been getting this problem in every single debug launch for past few hours. I used to get this earlier too, but once in a while, not with every debug launch. I found out that flex debugger uses a certain 7395 port but I can't figure out how to change it?
I am ctrl+ shift + enter on my .fla file. And have put my breakpoint on one of as file. I am opening same swf file in web browser. I have set enable remote debugging in flash. But still not able to go the breakpoint
i have a flash video called abc.swf that i would like to play when a user first registers to our website. however, if the user does not have flash, i need it to tell them that in an easy way.
for this reason, i am trying to tell them how to download flash with the following html:
When I set the 'Publishing Setting' to 'Permit Debugging', Flash never generates the swd file when the target script language is AS3.If I change the script language to AS2 it generates it.I have tried on CS3 and CS5.how to generate this swd file for AS3 projetcs?I have tried with large files and with empty files always with the same result.
I'm trying to debug a swf in Flash Professional CS5.5, by running the debug-> Debug Movie -> In Flash Professional. When I do I get teh Adobe Flash Player Security window. It says you are trying to connect to and the I.P. address of the server (e.g. 203.22.35.101). I've opened the settings and added that I.P. under Advanced->Trusted Location Settings... that doesn't help. btw: If I run -> Control -> Test Movie -> In Flash Professional it works fine, but then I can't debug.
I am using the following tutorial to create a php message page, however, even in their example, I cannot get the php echo function to send the output to the dynamic text fields:Here is the button code to send the php variables and attempt to capture the php echo of either "sent" or "error"
on (release) { Now import the variables we need to send in this movie clip sender_mail = _root.Semail.text sender_name = _root.Sname.text sender_subject = _root.Ssubject.text sender_message =
I am trying to debug a Flash Web Application using Flash Builder 4. However, I keep getting this error:Unable to connect to the application to fetch profile data. try profiling the application again.I am using Internet Explorer 8 (the same problem also occurs with Internet Explorer 7) with Adobe Flash Player 10.1.102.64 (the Debug Player). In other words, I installed the latest of everything. For my launch configuration, I have used the path to an HTML file. This works fine for debugging but does not seem to work for profiling.
Any work-arounds to what appears to be a bogus error message?Multiple buttons to control a movie and one (defined with the exact same process/steps as the others) results in the 1120 error.[code]No syntax error, but test run results in 1120 error on the P_button event.Instances are established for both and the names are spelled correctly. Is there some undocumented feature about what characters can't be used in instances and button/movie definitions?
I have a button that, when it is clicked, should cause a text box to appear. I can make text appear as a trace so I know the button's working, but I have no idea how to either get the trace onto the stage - it only appears in the .fla .output window. I think what would be preferable would be to get a text box to appear as the event but can't work it out....
Writing RTMP Streaming Server for streaming AVC+AAC video. And it works fine with rtmpdump. But I can't force it to work in flowplayer and other flash video players. The message sequence after handshake is similar to FMS / RED5 / erlyvideo / haxevideo servers: I've tried a lot of variations.
From Chrome debug console I can see, what all negotiating messages passed to the flowplayer. The last one is onMetaData. And after this the working sample (rtmp://flash.tvwmedia.net/LiveVideo//Live300) gets NetStream.Buffer.Full. And streaming from my server don't get it.
I'm starting with AVC Header message, containing sps/pps. After it first AVC picture passed. After - AAC header and AAC sample. And then AVC/AAC samples. This dumped OK by rtmpdump - I have working flv on exit. But flowplayer and others does not work.
I cannot connect to an FMS server from a client on a another domain using RTMP
Locally running a flash client that uses nc.connect(rtmp://...) to connect - works.
But when the client is in another domain I get NetConnection.Connect.Failed in the netconnection onstatus.
I've put crossdomain.xml files on my FMS folders that allow access from any domain (*). Also the allowedHTMLdomains.txt and allowedSWFdomains.txt are set to allow any - though it's not just the live application I can't connect to, it's also any other app.
There are no firewalls blocking on the server. Port 1935 is available. FMS is set to listen to 1935. The server is accessible with other protocols (http) - but with RTMP it only connects when I try to connect locally, as mentioned.
What other reasons or settings can cause the connection to FAIL?
What does this mean? I presume that it has something do do with the toplevel.as file and $(LocalDate)/Classes'. Where can these files be found and how to i correct this error message.
This simple code is not working properly: ActionScript Code: keyListener = new Object(); keyListener.onKeyDown = function() { trace ("Message"); } Key.addListener(keyListener); The message is only output when some keys are pressed, such as W, D, Space, etc. I don't know why. I am using Flash CS3 (AS2).
I am trying to run QNX Actionscript project on desktop Flash player, but when I run the swf, the player appears blank white view I tried to set the QNX libraries "Merged in code", but the app doesn't run Is there any way to run the project swf on flash player Note: I am using Flash Builder 4.5
I'm in the process of releasing an online quiz but am coming across many problems once I publish my swf and view in my browser. Some of these problems can take hours to solve without knowing what the cause is.
I am aware of the Flash debug player, but is there a way to have a message pop up within flash player or my browser to give me an idea of what the problem is i.e "Questions.xml could not be found"? I would also want this to be displayed for the general user should there be a problem, as opposed to just a blank screen.
I have a video tutorial in mp4 format. The video has many chapters. The tasks given to me are:
TASK 1: When the video is played a dialog box should appear in the video screen showing two options 1)I want to continue with this chapter 2)Goto the next chapter When the user presses option 2 the next chapter should be played (the video has to be fast forwarded to the next topic's timeline).I should not do this using Chapters/Contents at the side of the video.
TASK 2: Next, when a chapter is completed, a dialog box should appear with options 1) REPLAY this chapter 2) Goto the next Chapter.
I'm having trouble connecting to a remote persistent shared object. When I run from the Flash authoring environment it works. But when I run it from a browser it doesn't. The code attaches an event listener to the sync event, and then calls so.connect(nc).
As mentioned - it works inside Flash authoring only. In both cases the connection to the server is successful. I also tried setting client.readAccess to "/" in the application.onConnect function of the server-side code - but it doesn't help. (Everything was written by me including the server-side application code. I have full control and access to the server).
Also, I can see the remote object exists on the server in the admin console. And as mentioned, when running inside Flash CS5 - the onsync gets triggered after connecting to the shared object. But, the same code under a browser - doesn't trigger the onsync. The SharedObject.getRemote method on the client side returns an object on both occasions.
Is there any way to record what flash player displays? I thought of sampling the framebuffer contents like 30 times per second but i am not sure if that is even possible under Windows.note: i know that there are plenty of software that converts swf to avi, but i wanna do it programmatically because my aim is not to save them to my disk as avi or sth.
I've been using CS4 to create flash 10 applications. It works well in other browsers, but IE 6 will not tell the users that they need to update their Flash Player. Instead, it will play the flash as if it's a video (keep looping from frame 1 to end) without allowing any interaction..
I have a flash file located on a web server. When it's loaded, I want it to access the user's PC and display some data (such as file directories, files, etc)I know there are security rules about what a flash player can access, but so far all I can seem to find are rules regarding local flash players accessing the internet, but not much on the other way around, or how do go about doing that.
I dont want to connect to a server over socket. I would like to know if it is possible to connect from one AIR app on machine A to connect to another AIR app on machine B via sockets without cirrus. I'm not asking for someone else to do my work, I couldnt find any documentation or possibility of the above thing. My conclusion now is that it is not possible, but I would just like it to be verified by other people(experts).
