Sep 12, 2011I have a swf.When a button is clicked a different swf must open in the main swf, also giving user option to close the current playing swf and going back to the main page.

I was just wondering if it was possible to link the buttons on my flash bar to open the pages into the main frame below my navigation bar? The code I have at the moment for my "home" button is the following:

Now if I go to fullscreen mode and click the hyperlink, page opens to new window but that window lies behind the main window. User have to know that and dig it up by using alt+tab etc method...

Jun 12, 2009I'm building a website that has a main swf with buttons that open external swfs which completely cover the main swf. The external swf has a close button to return to the main swf. My problem is when the external swf is open the buttons hiding underneath on the main swf are still active. I want to add code to the button on the main swf to disable itself while opening the external swf. BUT, I also want to reactivate them when I close the external swf. Is there code I can place on the close button of the external swf that will communicate to the main swf to reactivate its buttons? It seems so simple but this is the trickiest part for me.

Jan 17, 2012I Have a flashmovie thats almost done and will soon hit the internet, but I want to add some animations into the website it�s two gears that I�m about to put at the bottom of the page and when a button releases in the main flashmovie the two bottom gears will turn a few frames and just stand still.These three movies are all separate (main movie, first gear and second gear).
It's a homepage designed in HTML and flash that has this "main flashmovie" in the middle of the screen, the size is about 1500(width)X800(height). And the gears is about 800wX200h placed at the left and right side bottom of the page. Dont worry the site is easy to apply to any screen resolution.I have been looking everywhere for any soul out there who suffering from the same problem but no success. Is it possible to script a button in the main movie to launch two separate movies in their own contents?

Jun 14, 2010I added a website preloader in a separate scene to the main frame of my website and scripted it to go to and Play the main scene or frame of the website when finished loading. I then put a command in the first frame of the main scene for the movie to stop (); at that point. The problem is that now the buttons on the main page don't respond to any behaviour commands to go to and stop at other frames in the main scene. I'm not sure if this is a conflict between the stop(); command in the main scene and the button behaviour command to go to and stop at another frame or an error with the way I'm identifying the scene and frame.

Aug 14, 2011My CS5 flash crashed when I changed the name of the root folder while it was open. Swf is working fine, but .fla file wont open, I get a "Failed to open document" message. This is a disaser because I've lost two days of work. Is there anything that could be done to fix this problem?

This works fine in Firefox but in IE it doesnt work, I then change the /v/ in the youtube link with /p.swf?video_id= and now I have the window open showing the small youtube thumbnail of my video but once a click play, nothing happens, I check it and is not loading anything.

IDE :: How To Open In Self
Feb 6, 2009Got a site and my opening page is made with Flash for the menu, each subsection when clicked is a link to another ".html" Now, when i click the links it opens a new page of the ".html" clicked, but I need it to open in the same window if i cant in the same frame. Cuz it keeps opening new windows...im assuming the fix is with something like "_self", but in my CS4 under properties of each button under Link I have the URL and selected "_self". I even put in a new layer called action and used the code below. But when I tried putting ,"_self" after the url in the code i got an error in flash.[code]
