ActionScript 3.0 :: Trace Embedded Cue Points Using Flvplayback?

I've got several flv's with a bunch of embedded cue points. I'm streaming these flvs from an FMS simultaneously and switching between them on the fly via a combobox. I'm trying to add some movieclips to the stage that represent the cue points so that when you switch to a new flv a new set of cue point markers will be generated for that clip. My problem is that I cannot find a way to get a list (or array) of the embedded cue points using the flvplayback component.I've seen a way to do this using Netstream.onMetaData but i'd prefer to use the flvplayback. I have been looking all over for a solution, and I find a lot of posts that ask the question, but sadly no answers.
I am using an flv (videoClip) with embedded event cue points. These cue points bring on bullet points based on where the video is in the playback. Sadly when I use the seekbar the bullets will stay on until the next cue point is reached. I think I am getting close, but am hoping someone can help me finish it out!
I would like to read in an FLV's cue point names and times and load them into an array which would have the form: [[cueP0, 0.0], [cueP1, 3.2], [cueP2, 6.8], ...]. I wou ld like to populate this array *before* the flv plays through for the first time, so I need to do this when the flv's metadata is first read in.With rom some of the posts in this forum, I have figured out a way to retrieve the cue point names and times (see the following code), but I am unable to "grab" these variables to populate an array with them.

I have a flvPlayback component in this url as you can see the controls are at the bottom so you can pause/play, adjust volune, etc. I've embedded the first url in a post at this site everything works fine there except the control bar is missing
I have been tasked with trying to create a drawing tool that draws dotted lines as you drag the mouse across the stage. I can easily capture the points on MouseEvent.MOUSE_MOVE and store them in a vector and then draw the points as dots:
The problem is that I need to calculate evenly distributed points on an ever growing Vector of points so I can only draw the line between say every 5th point (say using modulus). I have been battling away with Bezier curve equations both Quadratic and Cubic but still can't quite figure out how to convert my Vector of points into an evenly distributed Vector of Points without sucking the life from the CPU.
I am having issues with a global array. I have an actionscript file called MyGlobal.as at the same level as my main FLA:

I am able to trace that first element while trace is called within the function... but if I try to trace that first element outside of the function it is "undefined". Do I need to return the array at the end of the function? I tried that but I cant seem to get it working correctly.
I've been playing with prototype a bit and I've noticed that either it isn't as static as it should be or that some functions are protected from altering, or that in some cases the prototype actually extends a function. For example, I was trying to modifiy the global trace function to output the current time of a trace action, something like this :

ive got a loaded xml list for an mp3 player. from playing track1, when i select track 2, it traces "track1" but then after a second click it traces "track2" and stays on that. the actually music for track2 does load on the first click though, but not the trace. anyone know why on the first click it would still trace the previous track? here is the code for that function...
why does the last trace not trace "32" like the second trace? I want to insert the variable "imgGal" onto the end of the mc "itemClip", how can I do this?
I have attached a video on a frame of my website in Flash. When I preview the movie the film plays as it should.But when I export the Fla. as a Swf. file it then doesn't have the movie there anymore?It does show this error:

I'd like to gain read only access to the following parameters of embedded Flash videos located on sites that I do not own through my own custom browser extension/add-on:
Time location of playback head (so I can display the current time in the browser extension via HTML5/JavaScript) Frames (so I can make capture them to an image file, save it and display image in browser extension) Original Dimensions in pixels (so I can display the original video dimensions via JS/HTML5 in browser extension)
Is this possible by using Javascript and HTML5 from a browser extension?
Would I have to use something like the SWFObject Javascript API [URL]
I made a flash mp3 player and it works fine in any other test pages. but when i embed it onto my site it just shows blank. what do i do? my site is [URL] and the flash player i tested here [URL] and it plays. What im i doing wrong? i tryed everything. right now i just got it in a iframe but i dont want that iframe.
Looking at the attached file, why does bottomScrollV give me the wrong value when the text is dynamically embedded and correct when manually embedded?

I am trying to create a mindmap where the user can drag points about the screen. I have gotten as far as drawing the line via actionscript, and drag+drop the points (defined as movie clips on stage). This is the existing script - I don't know how to get the lines to follow the points. Something to do with ENTER_FRAME or updateAfterEvent?

I have an embedded font in my AIR/AS3 app that lacks support for most internationalcharacters. Using TextField and StyleSheet with the font-family property, I assumed I would simply need to do this:font-family: Interstate-Regular, _sans;This works if TextField.embedFonts = false; but then Interstate-Regular isn't embedded for users that don't have it on their system. With TextField.embedFonts = true; the text doesn't even show up. Is there a way to embed Interstate-Regular and still use _sans as a fallback system font without embedding it as well?
I'm looking for a embedded language that can be used to script common code between a server app written in C# and a client app written in Flash/Actionscript. It is important that the embedded language interpreter run natively in the environment it is embedded into. For example, it cannot load any external C libraries (i.e. python, neko).
Does such a thing exist for these two languages? Perhaps there is some minimal interpreter that could be easily ported to both?
I am following a good tutorial here:URl...And it uses the following example file to display an embedded FLV movie:URL...I am having a problem editing the cue points. If I open the compenent inspector for the FLVPlayback, and then open the cuePoints dialog, I should be able to add, remove, or modify cue points. However, I can't edit anything in the dialog at all. It seems locked.The tutorial clearly states you should be able to edit the points.

I am SUPER confused on how to make use of the cue point that I embedded in my FLV.It is called "END", is at time 00:00:46.114 and is Event type.How do I go about calling an action, say loader.loadMovie("info.swf), when the movie reaches that point?
I went to start a video project this morning and can't get the FLVPlayback component to do anything. Opening a new Flash file, dragging and dropping a FLVPlayback object from the Components panel onto the stage and then building the movie results in the following laundry list of errors:
1119: Access of possibly undefined property isRTMP through a reference with static type VideoPlayer.[code]...
All these errors take place in the UIManager.as file.
I'm currently streaming a video with AS2 using netstream.I have already found out how to pause my video on certain cue points, however I do not know how to skip to certain cue points.Basically I have buttons, which will each skip to a certain part of the video.All my cue points are embedded in the FLV.To pause my video I have the following code:[code]Any help on how I can use the buttons to skip to say "SecondCue" and "ThirdCue"?

I am trying to use external xml to set cue point times (for video), titles, and other parameters. I have everything set up, except getting the proper data from the xml file to set the parameters for my cue points. I am researching hard and learning quickly
For some reason I'm having trouble designating where my registration points are on my objects. When I create new objects the option is simply not there. Also, when I'm doing some actionscripting, my text does not change colors, even though I've set it to do so...
