Is it possible to insert cue points into a video on the fly ala the addASCuePoint() method in the FLVPlayback component?

I've got several flv's with a bunch of embedded cue points. I'm streaming these flvs from an FMS simultaneously and switching between them on the fly via a combobox. I'm trying to add some movieclips to the stage that represent the cue points so that when you switch to a new flv a new set of cue point markers will be generated for that clip. My problem is that I cannot find a way to get a list (or array) of the embedded cue points using the flvplayback component.I've seen a way to do this using Netstream.onMetaData but i'd prefer to use the flvplayback. Here's my code:

I have been looking all over for a solution, and I find a lot of posts that ask the question, but sadly no answers.

I am using an flv (videoClip) with embedded event cue points. These cue points bring on bullet points based on where the video is in the playback. Sadly when I use the seekbar the bullets will stay on until the next cue point is reached. I think I am getting close, but am hoping someone can help me finish it out!

Actionscript 3.0 :: FLVPLayback Can't Play Dynamically

I am building a faq page with flvs for each of the 10 questions. But for some reason the flvs will not load dynamically (with Actionscript). When I load the source from AS and write play(); I can only hear the sound but no video.

The weird thing is that the flvs play ok when i specify the source in the component inspector and don't load them from the AS.

Even weirder, i tried replicating my project on a smaller version to show the problem, just with two buttons and two FLVPlaybacks and this time it worked. But will not work on my page! I am going nuts cause i dont know why it does that! I Mean it should work but it just doesnt![code]...

I have a flvplayback component onto which I am loading a video. To mimic next frame and previous frame actions I am adding cue points to the loaded for every second of its length. The next frame /previous frame functions implement seekToNextNavCuePoint and seekToPrevNavCuePoint on the video. But its not working the way I expected it to.

Here is the actual class file. You can directly compile it with an fla file containing button instances in the library for play pause stop... Also you would need some sample flv file.

I have a world map on which I display some data. I read long and lat coordinates for two countries from an XML file which is updated with different coordinates everytime. I then map the coordinates to X-Y axis using some projection method.

So, I have x-y coordinates for two countries. I wanna draw a curved line between those countries but curveTo method draws the curve in one shot. I want to animate the curve drawing part so it looks like it is being drawn real time.

how can I dynamically change the contentPath in FLVPlayback-Component, when one video is complete and the other one should follow? the code below it doesn't work for me. I don't show the full URLs, but the problem is definitely somewhere else. As separate contentPaths they work perfectly. I don't know why this shouldn't work, do I need smth. else to force FLVPlayback to refresh the content?

I have been tasked with trying to create a drawing tool that draws dotted lines as you drag the mouse across the stage. I can easily capture the points on MouseEvent.MOUSE_MOVE and store them in a vector and then draw the points as dots:

The problem is that I need to calculate evenly distributed points on an ever growing Vector of points so I can only draw the line between say every 5th point (say using modulus). I have been battling away with Bezier curve equations both Quadratic and Cubic but still can't quite figure out how to convert my Vector of points into an evenly distributed Vector of Points without sucking the life from the CPU.

I have attached a video on a frame of my website in Flash. When I preview the movie the film plays as it should.But when I export the Fla. as a Swf. file it then doesn't have the movie there anymore?It does show this error:

I really don't know what that refers too.

I am trying to create a mindmap where the user can drag points about the screen. I have gotten as far as drawing the line via actionscript, and drag+drop the points (defined as movie clips on stage). This is the existing script - I don't know how to get the lines to follow the points. Something to do with ENTER_FRAME or updateAfterEvent?

I have a game where i add some cartoonish ants, that when they are clicked, they need to be removed from stage. There are 4 differend kinds of ants, so im doing a Math.random for picking which one to add. (ant 1+2+3 have 50% chance to spawn and 4th 50%)

I have a timer doing 10 tick, and i reset the timer to make neverending. Then i have a math random and if sentences adding mc' to the stage with movement from Tweener, and event listeners for clicks. But i cant figure out how to remove them when clicked. I have done alot of failed tries right inside the click_candy_anty function. I've left them commented out.

Essentially, I've got a MC container that's created dynamically based off an XML file (basically for every <title></title> I've got, it makes a new "card"). Now within the context of each <title></title> grouping I've got <imgs></imgs> in which I specify the path to images that are related.All of that works perfectly, save for the external jpg files actually appearing on the stage. The MC I add them to does, but the external image doesn't.My problem is- I can't add the external images until they're completely loaded (or so it appears). The thumbnail BG I use is blank. So I know for a fact that the thumbnail BG isn't occluding the loaded thumbnails.

I am following a good tutorial here:URl...And it uses the following example file to display an embedded FLV movie:URL...I am having a problem editing the cue points. If I open the compenent inspector for the FLVPlayback, and then open the cuePoints dialog, I should be able to add, remove, or modify cue points. However, I can't edit anything in the dialog at all. It seems locked.The tutorial clearly states you should be able to edit the points.

What's Going On With My FLVPlayback?

I went to start a video project this morning and can't get the FLVPlayback component to do anything. Opening a new Flash file, dragging and dropping a FLVPlayback object from the Components panel onto the stage and then building the movie results in the following laundry list of errors:

1119: Access of possibly undefined property isRTMP through a reference with static type VideoPlayer.[code]...

All these errors take place in the UIManager.as file.

I am using Flash CS3 and AS2 on a PC. I am making a CD in Flash, for a client. The CD has videos, images and text. What I need is be able to go to the next scene once an FLV has finished playing. Also if a new FLV can be loaded once the curent ends. The FLV is in the FLVPlayback component. I need to add Cue Points which I can use to navigate with. The client would prefer a minimum of buttons, and thus auto navigation once a point is reached.I would prefer to avoid the need for me to use third party software or add-ons unless absolutely necessary.
