View 7 RepliesI'm attempting to add some user controls to a flv for a client. I've added the flv to a swf and added the FLVPlayback component no problem. I've exported the movie, again, no problem. When I play the movie on my local drive, it plays just fine. Here is where the problem comes in: I've uploaded the movie to a live server to embed in an html page so that my client may preview the controls before giving final go ahead for the project. However, once the movie is upload to a a live server, the FLVPlayback component no longer appears in the movie and the flv no longer plays.

View 2 RepliesI took a .flv and placed it in a .swf in Flash Professional CS5 (for smoother playback on my website), and I used Dreamweaver to embed the .swf on one of my webpages. The video plays back fine, but there are no playback controls. In Dreamweaver, I set "PLAY" and "LOOP" to false, so in order to play my video, I have to right-click it and press "Play." That seems odd and possibly confusing/inconvenient for anyone viewing my website (particular potential employers, because this is my online portfolio). how to add playback controls? I don't want to use any external players (like Flowplayer), as I am trying hard to avoid watermarks and having to pay for anything extra.
Interesting note: when I used Dreamweaver to insert the .flv, I had the option to select from a list of playback controls. However, the .flv did not play smoothly on my website, and I found the solution to place the .flv in an .swf for nicer playback.
My question is how do I incorporate playback controls to a Embedded Video that plays with the timeline? I saw how easy it was to add playback components when you import video externally. I figured that I probably need to start by creating my play back components, but then I need code to tell the swf what to do?

After two hours of headacke, I delete NCManager (I've made a copy on my USB key).I try to place a FLVPlayback on my scene : no problem ! I can place it, but it does'nt work as I want.So I discover that even I try to change NCManager, this file isn't read.I need help to understand what I must do when I modify these file. View 14 RepliesIs it possible when publishing a Flash CS4 file to have the Video swf and the Skin swf be in one swf file? I have a Flash CS4 (AS2) file that has a FLVPlayback Component. When I publish or test movie 2 swfs are output. I need only 1 swf as I am then going to insert this 1 swf into a Captivate 4 project. When I insert the video swf by itself into Captivate 4, I do not have a play bar/skin. If it is not possible to publish as one swf, how I can insert the 2 swfs into a Captivate file and get them to work?

when i select the source file it's looking for .flv files and not the mp4 file so the mp4's are greyed out.i read a great tutorial using a pc which shows the workaround for being able to see the mp4 files.url...I'm however using a mac and this method of putting an * in the file name box doesn't work on mac.

I used the new FLVPlayback component to progressively download a flv video. When I test the movie locally it works fine, but when I embed the flash into a html page then upload all the materials (html, main swf, flv video and skin swf) the video plays but the playback controls are missing.

View 1 RepliesI had made a custom Youtube player in Flash CS4 in AS3 with Play/Pause, Mute, Stop, Seekbar and VolumeBar Controls. My problem is "only" with the Seekbar and the VolumeBar. It always shows up a bounded Yellow retangle over the controls when you try to drag it (scrub it) using a mouse which looks really ugly... I have tried every possible ways to remove the tabstop, like tabEnabled, tabIndex , and the like but all in vain. Also I have tried to remove the focus from the stage of the FLVPlayback component, still in vain...

So I have a single swf which has a flvplayback with controls and at the bottom has a vertical playlist of videos.I have the following code to toggle fullscreen views [code]and it "works", but the problem I'm having is that the playlist is showing in the fullscreen mode as well. What I'm trying to achieve is t only have the flvplayback and controls show up in the fullscreen.
View 1 RepliesI have created a movie in Flash CS3 with the FLVplayback control. In the parameters of the control I have set the autohide of the player skin to false. But when I publish my movie to the webserver the controls are still autohiding. I have cleared my cache repeatedly and republished the movie repeatedly, but I can't seem to get the controls to stay up permanently.
I have done this with presentations many times and I have never had this issue before.
The presentation is being shown in IE8 with compatibility view off, although I have tried it with compatibility view on as well.
I have an stage on wich I have an flvplayback, custom controls to manage the flvplayback and some other infos bellow this controls.when I enter fullscreen with the fullScreenTakeOver set to true all the flash file goes to fullscreen, but I only want that flvplayback and the custom controls to manage go to fullscreen, not all the info below them.Is there a way to select what elements go to fullscreen and what elements not?I try to modify an skin of the flash predefined, but I do not find the way to add textfields to this skins and access dinamically to them from the file that has the flvplayback control.

I've got several flv's with a bunch of embedded cue points. I'm streaming these flvs from an FMS simultaneously and switching between them on the fly via a combobox. I'm trying to add some movieclips to the stage that represent the cue points so that when you switch to a new flv a new set of cue point markers will be generated for that clip. My problem is that I cannot find a way to get a list (or array) of the embedded cue points using the flvplayback component.I've seen a way to do this using Netstream.onMetaData but i'd prefer to use the flvplayback. I have been looking all over for a solution, and I find a lot of posts that ask the question, but sadly no answers.
I am using an flv (videoClip) with embedded event cue points. These cue points bring on bullet points based on where the video is in the playback. Sadly when I use the seekbar the bullets will stay on until the next cue point is reached. I think I am getting close, but am hoping someone can help me finish it out!

I have attached a video on a frame of my website in Flash. When I preview the movie the film plays as it should.But when I export the Fla. as a Swf. file it then doesn't have the movie there anymore?It does show this error:

I'm making some custom controls/components and I have an issue with package paths. I know what I want, but don't know how to do it. I'll try to illustrate with code:

I'd still have a mess in code, since I'd have to use full paths.
Now, I would like to simplify things, but keep it clear also. Lets say I'm making a component that uses several controls. I want to make package part of the assignment statement, like:

I have an FLV Playback component in a website that I'm working on and for some odd reason the controls do not work. The video loads and plays fine and the controls appear but you cant click on anything like you can when you assign the skin in the parameters. It is a default Flash skin. At first I thought it was due to the video layer being under a mask, so I moved it on top and it didnt change anything.
