ActionScript3 :: How To Handle NetConnection.Connection.Failed
Jan 16, 2012
I have a video streaming app, and it uses Flash AS3. It keeps getting a NetStatusEvent of "NetConnection.Connection.Failed", when i try to use it in my Windows Testing environment. I need to make it work in my testing environments before i can launch this product.How do i diagnose this problem?
I have a Flex and Java application and i am using BlazeDS between flex and java. Generally my application works fine. I observed when ever i try fetch data little faster(not giving gap between two fetch commands) then i am getting the error "Server error :faultCode:Channel.Call.Failed faultString:'error' faultDetail:'NetConnection.Call.Failed: HTTP: Failed'"
I guess when ever load is increasing on BlazeDs, i am getting the error. I am calling the java service using following code
Im trying to make connection from flex to java and from java to mysql. I managed to connect to java, but having error that class not found: com.mysql.jdbc.Driver. But i downloaded mysql.jar, included it added to library, and connection works when i testing it from clipse scrapbook. Dont know what to do, i spend last couple days on this.
Basically the solution was simple. Everybody keeps saying to put jar into lib folder, so i done it, but i wasnt realised that i have to put into my servers lib directory, not app lib directory and this miserable mistake cost so much. Anyway i hope this will help for some newbie like me.In this particular situation im using red5, so i putted it into my red5 dist/lib directory and "surprisingly" its started to work.
i m new for FMS I just wanna make a connection, I put swf file in FMS folder and here my codepackage{ import flash.net.NetConnection; import flash.display.Sprite; importflash.text.TextField; import flash.events.NetStatusEvent;public class main extends Sprite private var
I am getting "NetConnection.Connect.Failed" error when trying to connect to my FMS 3.5 server from Internet.Things work pretty well when the application is hosted and accessed on my local network. Now when I want to connect my live stream application to Internet it isn't working. Public IP for my server is of type xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxxx (My machine is mapped to the ip so to connect I need to mention the port as well).I am running IIS and FMS on the same machine. I have changed the default tcp/ip port of iis to 8080 and the ports for FMS are set to 1935,80.I have updated the HTTPPROXY.HOST value in fms.ini to HTTPPROXY.HOST = :8080 (port of IIS)HTTP tunneling and HTTP Proxy are also enabled.
I am trying to learn the new services method in flex 4. but i cant get it work. A test oparation near the service in flash builder 4 works. But when i run the code i get NetConnection.Call.Failed: HTTP: Failed.
CODE: PHP
<?php class AuthService { public function login($username, $password) {[code].......
I have a single server that runs IIS and FMS, both on port 80. The server has two internal IPs assigned to it, one for IIS and the other for FMS. I also have two static public IPs. My router maps one public IP to IIS' internal IP and likewise for FMS.
IIS works fine. Using an online port scanner, I was able to determine that port 80 is responsive for both public IPs. Before I had configured my Adapter.xml and fms.ini, only IIS' public IP was responsive. This seems to indicate that FMS is fine.
However, when my ActionScript creates a NetConnection and calls connect(), my netStatus callback takes about half a minute to be invoked, and I get "NetConnection.Connect.Failed". Which is not very informative. Is there a way to get more info about the cause of the error?
I am currently building a Flex application with a PHP backend. The flex application should talk to the backend using Zend_AMF.I have implemented the Zend_AMF endpoint as a controller, so it is accessible via http://localhost/myapp/amf.I am trying to test the service using a service browser called ZamfBrowser.When connecting, I get this error:
There was an error loading the server's info. Error: (mx.rpc.events::FaultEvent)#0 bubbles = false cancelable = true
I'm creating a very, very basic AIR application which mainly just needs to check if a given FMS is up and running. To do that, I'm simply connecting to the FMS and after a successful connection, disconnecting to free up the connection slots. All is repeated at some interval. This is like a monitoring tool.
However, looking into the admin panel (Influxis) I can see that the number of active connections is ever growing, even though I'm calling close() on the NetConnection instance every time.
Also, adding a timer to trace the netConnection.connected value outputs always "true", after the close() function has been called.
I got a IP Communications new account having following paramters:
[Code]...
Its showing me connecting ... Status is not getting update like: "Connection Failed" or "Connection Success". how to use the above information in this app,
I'm developing an application and i want to make one single connection for video(netstream) and chat(sharedObject).I have one connection for each but i have limited connection available in the server so i need to make a single connection to handle the video net stream and chat sharedObject.I use this urls to connect:
private var serverWebcamURL:String = "rtmp://myserverIP/live"; private var serverChatURL:String = "rtmp://myserverIP/multicast/chat";
I'm using the RTMFP protocol to publish and play video and audio, but i'm with a little problem. I installed the FMS 4 Development Server in a Windows Server machine located in our local network and it works perfectly. In order to deploy our application, we have a remote server with a fresh install of the Ubuntu 10.04 Server, and the FMS 4 installed in this server. In other server we have the Java and Flex application, which will be used in the client browser.
The problem is that when trying to change the NetConnection url to the remote FMS server, which is the Ubuntu server, the netconnection can't connect to it. When changing to the RTMP protocol it connects, but with the RTMFP don't. I can't find any information in the log files or anything else.
I am trying to connect to FBJS bridge. It keeps giving me the following error.When I'm opening only one connection and I do not have any other window open.
ArgumentError: Error #2082: Connect failed because the object is already connected.at flash.net::LocalConnection/connect()at BabyVille()[C:Documents and SettingsuserDesktopabyvilleflashMain ProjectsrcBabyVille.as:56]This is my code :
Got a really big problem here. I keep on getting "NetConnection.Connect.Failed" when I load a .asc file on my main.asc file, i use the method load() in my code. I really don't understand why this happens, but when i comment out the code that loads the asc file, I can successfully connect to fms. I can't figure out what's happening here. Btw, i'm using fms4 in windows 7 32bit.
I am trying to start making an admin client side application to monitor our service, including its properties that simply cannot be done through Administration Console, like blocking IP addresses of offending users.My problem is that even before I start using the Administration API (on which I will comment further down), I tried to f.e. inspect theshared objects and streams of the application through the Admin. Console, but I get a popup "Failed to make debug connection, please check that the application is in debug mode." Configuration files are unaltered from install, which means xPendingDebugConnections is set to 50, AllowDebugDefault is set to false, BUT in the serve side main.asc file I have "application.allowDebug = true;"Also, on a related note.
I can see that the Administration API lists the API itself, but there is vague to no mention at all where to connect first? I recall spotting somewhere suffixing the RTMP URL with something like "_fcs_debug" or something, but you can see how this frustrates me - I really don't like to google stuff that is supposed to be in the documentation The application instance usually accepts connections from regular non-admin clients, with proper parameters, which are irrelevant for admins unless these are users too (double membership, you can say)
I'm creating a scrollbar gallery from a tutorial on this site. Though I've completed the tutorial, and customised the gallery to my own needs, however I'm trying to make a very small change to it - and no matter what I do, keep running into problems. I'm trying to replace the rectangular handle with my own customised handle - a (20 x 20) 'circular' png image that I've imported into Flash, made a graphic and stored in the library (though I understand it can be imported using actionscript, like the other images in the gallery).
I am trying to create a SWC library for use in my Flash AIR project. I have created a seperate FLA called SceneLibrary and followed the steps defined here:[URL]..to create a new SWC component. I saved the created SWC into a lib folder within my Flash Dev project, I then right click on the SWC item in my project window and choose "Add to Library" This all seems to go fine.
In my code i then go import FirstScene (this is auto completed by Flash Dev) It seems a bit weird to me that the path to this class would simply be
This is how ActionScript sorts array of integers in script and every time after first sort it starts with 301 but When I try to sort same array in c# it always starts with 101. here is how I sort it in c#
I made a simple project which you paste XML into a TextField and and uses this. It works great however it doesn't keep the original structure which wasn't much of a problem until i recently noticed if i load or copy and paste XML which contain comments like:
<min>0.0</min> <max>255.0</max>
In the TextField it turns to this:
<min>0.0</min> // <max>255.0</max>
Which creates problems as from what i can tell it would then run lines of code it should not. I would prefer if it kept the same text structure as the loading/copy and paste method seems to adjust it for some reason.can you keep the exact same XML text structure with working comments? when the XML is in the TextField it removes this part:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
why does it remove that rather than keeping the text exactly the same? and can i make it keep that or would i have to manually append that text again?
Because also the photo-url-tag has a dash, I needed to parse it with ...child("photo-url"). This worked fine, but if I want to filter these tags(photo-url), in order to receive all photo-url's with the same attribute: "max-widht='1280'", I couldn't manage to do so. I tried this approach:
var photoUrl:XMLList = xml.posts.post.child("photo-url").(@max-width==1280);
I get this error:
ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable @max is not defined.
I have written a Flex Library project - a .swc file - which is supposed to read default configuration from a XML file inside .swc. This .swc file would be used by other modules to perform some operation. I am unable to make the URLLoader to load the XML inside the .swc file.When i run this as a normal Flex project, things work fine without any issue. With swc, it looks bin-debug folder for the XML and not inside .swc. I want the URLLoader to look inside .swc for the config file. How do i achieve this?
myLoader.load(new URLRequest("config.xml")); For the above code i get the following error: Error #2044: Unhandled ioError:. text=Error #2032: Stream Error. URL:
I have a situation where I use loadvars to load an xml file, which has the address of 2 swf's on the server. I can trace the xml items so know they are loading. So I'm trying to load the swf's but am running into problems. First problem, the swf always gives an error when I publish from flash, "TypeError: Error #2007: Parameter url must be non-null." as it can't find the mention of the xml file, as it's just being published. I'm not sure this affects the next issue which is the swf not loading when I try to load it like this:
var loader:Loader = new Loader(); var defaultSWF:URLRequest = new URLRequest(loadswf1); // where I know loadswf1 = "myswf.swf" loader.load(defaultSWF);
Having some problems adding the default spark.components.VScrollBar scrollbar. All I'm doing is creating a new VScrollBar, setting it's coordinates, a width and height and doing an addChild but it's not showing up. I'm adding other components too that do show up in the same code so that shouldn't not be the problem.What might I be missing?
var a:VScrollBar = new VScrollBar(); a.x = 100; a.y = 100;[code].....
I m developing an app that pulls android device IMEI and matches it against the database Is there a way to retrieve android device IMEI using actions script?
i want to have the music always playing and the ability to mute different parts. It is for a project where you click on different people and they come to life to play music. a stop and play would not have them in snyc. I have not been using action script long
var my_sound:Sound = new Sound(); my_sound.load(new URLRequest("triumphant.mp3" ) ); function setMute(vol){ var sTransform:SoundTransform = new SoundTransform(0);
