I am trying to make an array of 3 floats in Actionscript 1.0, but instead of incrementing the X & Y variables by 1, it just adds 1 to the end of the previous value. This has nothing to do with Flash, it is being used for an extension for a server that requires extensions in Actionscript 1.0.

I'm trying to convert the byteArray of a Sound Object to an array with floats. The Sound Object plays back fine & at full length, but the float Array i get from it is cut off (but sounds correct), so i must be doing something wrong in the conversion:[code]The top two channels are the original Sound Object.The lower two is the float Array Data. I aligned them so you can see that the beginning is cut off and obviously the length is incorrect.

2) how do I need to show months on Xaxis. beacuse I'm asking this regarding, I have kept a filters that even if we want to see some months or a particular months or perticalar span of months... there on Xaxis it need to change the months dynamically depending on the filters..... (for ex, on Xaxis the values should be (Jan, Apr, Jun,Oct) if i select the 3 months period filter....)

i hv an array that contains numbers, when iam trying to perform the addition operator on the numbers, it doesn't summing the numbers algebrically:
a[1][1]=a1.text
a[1][2]=a2.text
b=a[1][1]+a[1][2]
trace(b)
and the result is putting the two texts of a1 and a2 together not summing them, means if a1.text=1 , a2.text=2 the output of b is 12 how could i make it to sum the numbers?

I have 2 movieclips(mc1, mc2) nested inside a movieclip(container) who is nested inside another movieclip(main).
(mc1 & mc2 -> container -> main)
How can I define an array for those 2 movieclips(mc1 mc2) so that it can be used in the main timeline?
E.g: if the 2 movieclips were on stage then var theArray:Array = [mc1, mc2]
I'm using the .unshift method therefore the newest values go into [0] and the rest are pushed down.
What is a good method to remove a value from an array once it has passed a certain length? For example i only want my array to hold 5 values.

A way I've tried to this is by creating a first array(array1) and populating it will all the variable names found on the main timeline, and another array(array2) containing the values of the variables the user has changed(which are displayed on some dynamic text fields). So I have this if statement, the goal of which is to test whether or not any of the values in an array (all of which are numeric) are equal to the value of a certain variable. How might I do this? I know how to make the array, and how to set the values in the array, and how to use any one of them on its own (myArray[somevaluegoeshere]), but how do I use all of them at once? Is there a way to do this? Should I not use an array and instead use some other better way of which I do not know?

I have 15 sets of x and y values, that should be stored together. I was thinking I could have an array, holding 15 other arrays, each holding the x and y value? Is that a valid way to do this? Also, is there a way to create those arrays holding the x and y, dynamically, so they just get numbered?
