How to merge flash site into one executable.
Site consists of:
index.html
images
sounds
pdfs
etc.
After clicking on a merged file, index.html is needed to be opened. Adobe AIR might be useful for this, but I can only create setup executable, maybe it is possible to create just executable?
I have developed a small adobe flash application (a parent .exe file which loads several child swf files). I can play it in almost any computer. My question is: Can I install and run the application in Aakash or Ubislate 7+ ?

How can I find the return value of a executable which has been invoked by a AIR app using the NativeProcess API? I am using Flash Builder 4. The following c++ generated executable
festival --tts "HelloSpeak.txt"
works fine on the Windows cmd line , but on invoking by the NativeProcess API like in the example article doesn't produce the desired result. I invoke the command with the arguments on a button click handler, but there is no TTS generated output.

What I want is the ability to call it from command line - add it .../*.app/Content/MacOS to $PATH. Is there any standard way to do it with AIR ? I need it to work on Windows as well.

The folder is not there. I thought that would probably be the problem. Manual installer uninstalling and all kinds of installing have been tried.

View 4 RepliesI'm using Flash 8 which I know is ancient tehnology but more then adequate for my simple banner ads. The site I put my banners on has recently added an option to provide banners exactly twice as wide as the ones I have been providing. Until I have time to create entirely new banners is there a way I can merge two of my existing Flash files into one and thereby position two of my existing banners side by side? This would give me the new size I need without creaating a whole new banner.

For normal Flash projects, I can create an executable (*.exe) file that includes the Flash codec so that the viewer doesn't need to install Flash beforehand.
Can I create something similar for the SWF file created by InDesign?
I'm using CS5 Design Premium. Intermediate knowledge in InDesign, basic in Flash, will likely need clear steps.
Flash executable Presentation will work in Mac OS..? or the executable Presentations only for windows platform..?

Umm i want to put all of my swf and exe files into CD ROM, but i have ever seen that exe flash files can be able run on CD ROM, if i copied that files into my harddisk, that appear alert that "Please use the CD ROM to run this application".. View 2 Repliesi have a short swf that has two movie clips that act as holders for thumbnails to get loaded in a random fashion. it works fine when i test my movie, and even when i export the swf. the images load in the placeholder - no problems.when i upload the swf to the website, the thumbnails dont load and the holders stay blank.i experimented locally and moved my .swf file into a folder that didn't contain a folder containing all the thumbnails. this gave the same result as the website (blank holders).when i move the folder containing all the images into this new folder with the swf, the images load in the movie and no blank holders are seen.
easy solution i though, i upload the folder to the website in the same directory as the swf file. did that but the images still dont load. is it that the swf is attempting to read the folder that would be on the local drive and not go for the copy in the same containing folder on the remote area?here is my code,

I've been trying to find a method of increasing the resolution of an executable that runs off flash. To be specific the program is a game called 'Realm of the mad god' originally a browser game but is now also a free to play steam title, Having browsed through the config files I couldnt find anything talking about resolution and I was wondering if there are any advanced flash features that allow the user to force the application to run a specific resolution.
PS: I don't have the highest hopes but I thought if anybody knew it would be someone from the flash community.
I want to send data generated by a flash module into an external executable in windows. From what I've learnt about interprocess communication, I think it is appropriate to use pipes in this case. I am using Flash professional CS5 and when a 'trace' command is used inactionscript the ouput will be displayed in the output window in flash professional. I think Flash pipes the data into the output window and if so is it possible to obtain the handle to that pipe. Is there a way by which I can write the output from flash player itself when the trace commands are executed or the data generated on an event directly into the buffer of a pipe.
View 1 Repliesi have made a site in flash. stage size 955x600 i have exported it as fullscreen with no scale. the problem is that if i browse the site with a resolution of 800x600 (760x420 if i'm not wrong), the browser dont' add scrolls and its impossible to see the complete site. How can i fix this without resizing the site. i want the users to see with the proportions that i have now.. ijust want a scroll on the browser.

View 2 RepliesI have several files for every piece of my movie. I have SCENE1.FLA, SCENE2.FLA, SCENE3.FLA, etc and want to merge them all into one file - MAIN.FLA. To avoid library symbol conflict, first I copy the content of SCENE1.FLA into MAIN.FLA, then in MAIN.FLA, I put every symbol in the library in it's own new folder named "+SCENE1". Then at the end of the frames of SCENE1's content on the timeline, I make a little space (blank frames), and paste the frames of SCENE2.FLA. For some reason "resolve library conflict" window pops up and ofcourse I say "don't replace). Now in MAIN.FLA the animation of SCENE2 has several problems: some symbols are missing and others are misplaced (like background, that is at the wrong X/Y position). So my question is: how do I get this right? How do I fix those problems and how do you usually merge the FLA's into ONE?
