works fine on the Windows cmd line , but on invoking by the NativeProcess API like in the example article doesn't produce the desired result. I invoke the command with the arguments on a button click handler, but there is no TTS generated output.
I would like to update the swf player that I specify into FDT and what Flash IDE uses to play files, namely from Flash 10 to Flash 11 for Stage3d preview. How does one do this?

Scenario: Flex application utilizing an @font-face declaration for embedding the font. (Embedded fonts are required to be able to rotate text.)
The application was originally developed as an English application, but during localization it became necessary to locate a unicode font capable of displaying Asian characters. The original implementation of the application uses four fonts to satisfy the various permutations of character emphasis. Bold, Bold Italic, Italic and Normal are all supplied through the corresponding Arial fonts in the Arial family.
Problem: When trying to compile in the font as one that could be used for the bold, italic, and bold italic through something like (yes its not ideal, this was just a test to see if it could be done):

It isn't so much the how to solve this issue. There are plenty of viable solutions. However what I would really like to know is how does Flex apply bold and italics to a font that it says does not support bold or italics.
How to merge flash site into one executable.
Site consists of:
index.html
images
sounds
pdfs
etc.
After clicking on a merged file, index.html is needed to be opened. Adobe AIR might be useful for this, but I can only create setup executable, maybe it is possible to create just executable?

I wok on desktop Adobe AIR application. It creates .DMG for mac os builds. It is actually command line application. What I want is the ability to call it from command line - add it .../*.app/Content/MacOS to $PATH. Is there any standard way to do it with AIR ? I need it to work on Windows as well.

So if you are trying to install application and you have not installed Adobe Flash player yet, it automatically suggests you install Flash player. So by default this application needs version 10.2 so it tries to install it, but adobe blocks it, because it says that I am trying to install an old version of flash player, so how can I avoid this blocking, so I don't need to install the newest version of Flash player each time? View 1 RepliesI had Flash 8 on my computer, and back when CS3 came out I purchased the full suite and installed that. Yesterday (years later, now) I was cleaning up installs on my computer to free space. I used Control Panel to remove Flash 8 from my PC.Now Flash CS3 still launches and works, but I cannot get .swf files to launch on their own at all. When I double-click them to open them, I get the message:
The file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options control panel. I've googled to figure out what that means or how to do it, but I haven't found a decent reply that's been effective. If I try to drag a .swf into a browser window (or just open it with a browser), it is also not recognized. Oddly enough, I can view Flash files on web pages no problem (when browsing online)...
Some necessary components must have been removed when Flash 8 was installed. I suppose I could try re-installing Flash CS3, but the problem with that is that I'm out of town on business for the next 10 days. My Studio install discs are back at home, and I need to get work done this week!.
I identify my current installed debug version? Basically, I am using Flex 3, for past 2-3 days whenever I launch any Project or debug it, I get the message box saying "Flex Builder requires a more recent version of Flash Player." It says my curent FP as 9.0.115.0 and debug version as 9.0.45.0. However, my actual FP version if FP 10.0.22.87. I don't understand why this confussion! I don't know how can I know my actual version of Debug player.

I downloaded and installed the latest Skype software today and noticed immediate problems. Skype was not responding and the Flash Player plugins on both browsers began crashing. I uninstalled both Skype and the Flash Player plugins. I then restarted my computer and reinstalled the Flash plugins. Functionality was restored to the Flash plugins in my browsers. I then reinstalled Skype. It was immediately non-functional and my Flash plugins started crashing again.I am now at the point where I have reinstalled the Flash plugins again and functionality is restored. I know if I try to install Skype, the Flash plugins will crash again.
I want to download Adobe Flash CS3, where can I? This is most likely because my computer won't support the latest version.

I am a experiencing an issue with loading of the haeader(flash) on the site I am currently working. Each browser behaves in a similar manner while not displaying flash animated header. For example, an application would allow the user to load in external images, position them on stage and label them. This data would be then be stored in a ByteArray (I guess) using BitmapData for the images and probably XML for the metadata.
I would then like to write this to a single file, with a bespoke file extension that could be associated with said Air app.
I have written a jquery/javascript editor in FLEX 3 and actionscript 3. It has syntax checking facility. I will write a syntax checking parser either in C or in java. Here, I will include executable file only with flex code. That executable file should accept fully qualified file name as input parameter and it produce compilation result as output, that i need to display in flex.

Adobe Cirrus offers a number of options for transferring data from peer to peer: Directed Routing, Object Replication and Multicasting to name a few.I just want to send the data to one specific peer, its fine for other peers to 'see' it in transit.
My experiments with Directed Routing (the obvious answer) have not gone well. all the sendto... methods fail, while NetGroup.post works fine on the same netgroup. I am concerned about using direct connections because of reliability.
Has anyone successfully implemented a one to one messaging strategy (not one to many), which can still message between non-connected peers - (Directed Routing) or solved this problem successfully?
I am considering various workarounds, but I am quite perplexed that these NetGroup methods: sendToNearest, sendToNeighbour & sendToAllNeighbours just seem to fail, for no apparent reason.
I have moved our project from SDK 2.0.1 to 3.5 because I'm using TLF. This has compiled OK in flex builder 3 IDE but I am now using command line compilation for our build system and getting errors for all the standard Flex resource bundles: Sharedresources, collections, containers, controls etc. I can see this is because of the improvements in Flex 3 and the SDK local folder doesn't have these as .properties files but now has a framework_rb.swc.
