I am using the customContent method to insert video player object into the infoWindow but when I do this it gets rid of my text content and becomes the only visible thing to the user. I'm trying to think of a way to place Flash content into a blog post so that it appears inline between paragraphs. I'm writing a custom weblog application in Django (still learning) and I'll be using SWFObject for the embedding.The blog is for me only so the back-end isn't too fancy. I'm simply using Django's built in admin interface. No TinyMCE rich text editor (like Wordpress), rather I've implemented Markdown.I'd like to add Flash content into the body of a post, between paragraphs, in a way that is not coupled to any third party script. Meaning, I would prefer not to include javascript within the body of the blog post as it introduces a dependency on SWFObject. For example, I could quite easily add the following to an entry via the back-end to embed a SWF inline:[code]As you can see this is quite wordy and a lot to remember but it also refers to SWFObject directly. This WILL work, however I would prefer to write it in a "cleaner" more abstract way. What I was thinking of doing is creating my own parser which would translate a custom string into the above just before rendering a template.

For normal Flash projects, I can create an executable (*.exe) file that includes the Flash codec so that the viewer doesn't need to install Flash beforehand.
Can I create something similar for the SWF file created by InDesign?
I'm using CS5 Design Premium. Intermediate knowledge in InDesign, basic in Flash, will likely need clear steps.

After clicking on a merged file, index.html is needed to be opened. Adobe AIR might be useful for this, but I can only create setup executable, maybe it is possible to create just executable?
i have some question here.. Umm i want to put all of my swf and exe files into CD ROM, but i have ever seen that exe flash files can be able run on CD ROM, if i copied that files into my harddisk, that appear alert that "Please use the CD ROM to run this application".. Do you know how to do this?? is there are some script that detect if CDROM then or whatever?..

To be specific the program is a game called 'Realm of the mad god' originally a browser game but is now also a free to play steam title, Having browsed through the config files I couldnt find anything talking about resolution and I was wondering if there are any advanced flash features that allow the user to force the application to run a specific resolution.
PS: I don't have the highest hopes but I thought if anybody knew it would be someone from the flash community.
I want to send data generated by a flash module into an external executable in windows. From what I've learnt about interprocess communication, I think it is appropriate to use pipes in this case. I am using Flash professional CS5 and when a 'trace' command is used inactionscript the ouput will be displayed in the output window in flash professional. I think Flash pipes the data into the output window and if so is it possible to obtain the handle to that pipe. Is there a way by which I can write the output from flash player itself when the trace commands are executed or the data generated on an event directly into the buffer of a pipe.

However, I want to be able to play it back in the standalone Flash Player that came with Flash CS4 Professional, and it was not updated from 10.0 to 10.1 when I updated to 10.1 for my browsers. How can I update this software to a newer version?
I am new to xml content in flash. I have been through the kirupa tut for loading xml content and have been successful in implementing it, but I now want to implement it into a scrollbar so I can use css and img tags. I can get it to work using the UI scroll component, but I want to use a custom scroll bar. I get the XML to load fine but I have no clue where to stick in the firstChild.childNodes[0] so I can call to certain attributes within the XML document. Below is the AS for the custom scroll bar.

I've successfully implemented the scrollbar from this great tutorial for some banners, but when I get to my 300x250 banner, the content gets cut off and disappears at a certain point while scrolling. This is the tutorial: [URL]. I altered the pieces for two different sizes without needing to alter any code, but this size is suddenly giving me problems. My FLA is attached.

I tried everything, I even copied the damn tutorial from adobe page of fscommand, still not going fullscreen at all, no errors.

I have an standalone flash projector file, running from a CD-rom. on the CD-rom I also have a .pdf file. I want to create a link where the user can download this file to the desktop. surely there's a better way of accessing the file rather than using getURL? hopefully because getURL is causing sporadic crashing of my movie!

It's looking for it in the 'Flex Builder 3 plug in' directory - which I've uninstalled in preference to the stand alone Flex Builder - how do I change the path to the player?
