There is a white space above the flash file. My file is 360 pix high, but I need the default bar at the bottom. So I set it to be 400. But the extra 40 pix got shared by the bar and an unwanted white space on the top.
If I set it to 360, no space, but no bar either. In either case, there is an extra 2 pix double lines on top. I want to remove the space and double lines.
Does anyone know how to remove the white space which shows up under Firefox when viewing your page with a flash movie and an image next/under it? With IE the flash and any images next to it butt against each other like they're supposed to, but under Firefox the white space shows up. How do you get rid of it?
I have a text file that needs to be parsed correctly. The text file looks like this:
[header] [header 2] [ header3 ]
I can grab these headers by doing so
var expression:RegExp = /[ [a-z0-9 ]+ ]/igxm; var items:Array = text.match(expression);
But I would also like to remove the white space from before and after the brackets, so the headers can align against the left edge. Also, for [ header3 ], I would like to remove the white space inside the brackets, before "h" and after "3". What would be the correct regex for something this?
I am new in Flash and Currently, I use Flash Pro CS5 to create new movies and modify old movies.
When I publish the movie I developed it comes with two white blank sides and i tried to change the Publish settings like Dimensions and Scale and publish the flash movie but the white blank sides did not disappear ?
I want that the flash movie has all the space of the dispaly window so that no white space appears when I view it in normal or maximized or full-screen view modes ?
how can I remove the space between my video and control bar.I tried to change margin and padding to all element without success. There is still a thin white space above the controls.[code]
I have some unwanted extra space at the bottom of my scrolling text box. I have been trying for hours to remove it but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.[URL]
If I create a mx:Label or mx:Text control in Flex and then set an opaqueBackground to it, I notice that there is some space around the text.
I would like to be able to get rid of that space to where the text is completely flush to the top and bottom of the label. Changing the gap, padding, and leading didn't seem to help. Is it possible to get the text completely flush to the sides of a label?
I am trying to remove / replace white space from a string in as3. The string comes from xml and than written into text field. To compare the strings I am trying to remove white spaces
var xmlSentence:String=myXML.SENTENCE[thisSentence]; var tfSentence=e.target.text; var rex:RegExp = /s+/; trace(xmlSentence.replace(rex, "-")); trace(tfSentence.replace(rex, "-"));
That code outputs like this: She-has a dog -She has a dog
I also tried different rex patterns. The problem is that though there are spaces in both string -which are same- it finds only one space but not the same one in both strings.
URL...check for WHERE YOU CAN SHOOT section theres one gallery if you click on any of the thumbnail a new broswer window opens with jpg... if u check it when jpg loads in that browser it leaves left top and bottom white space.i want to remove that white space.
This sounds quite ridiculous but my space bar doesn't want to work in Flash CS3. I'm a web designer and started recently for a new company. They asked me to include a flash image on one of our websites. When I try to add text to the stage, I can't make spaces. That is all. I've used flash before and I've never ran into this problem
After turning my files to fla and creating swf I happy embedded them into an area in my Dreamweaver page. A grey space area appeared with a Flash icon. A command window open placing two files in a script folder and then I went to the browser (safari in this case) and there was my webpage with a white space where the Flash video should have been.
I'm filling arrays from a XML. These arrays have dynamic textFields inside them, and these textFields are childs of a movieclip.
I tween this movieclip, therefore making the array of textFields animate on the stage one by one. There are two sources of XML, one from an actual site, and another from a XML stored in the hdd. First i fill the arrays of textFields, and then animate the movieclip. I do this for the first one, then animate it, do it again for the 2nd one, animate it, again for the 1st one, animate it, so on so on.
myTween = new Tween(mc,"x",None.easeNone,sizeOfStage,0 - mc.width,mcSpeedAuto,true);
my tween ends at 0 - mc.width, the problem is, if i tween first the "bigger" XML, when the next one which is smaller gets tweened, there's loads of empty space before it tweens the big one again (tweening whitespace?).
onFinish i clear all the arrays (otherwise the tweening of the 2nd one would still have information of the 1st one e.g: 1st has 25 fields, second has 10, 1st shows it's 25 fields, 2nd shows 10, and the 15 that were left from from the 1st one) and call the tween on the 2nd one. I thought that by doing this i'd be clearing all that white space too, apparently not. I think the mc.width just keeps the "bigger" value and always tweens with that, taking longer to end in the 2nd case. I've tried setting the mc.width as the sum of textfield width's everytime i fill the arrays, but this hasn't worked either
I am currently working on a new game and I need help on this part. It is probably simple to do but I am a noob. Basically I am making a window cleaning game and I have set it up so that the dirt slowly dissapears through the frames. What I need to know is how to I script it so that each time I press space it jumps to each frame.
e.g hit space jump to frame 2 press again jumps to next frame.I know How to set up the key press and know space is 32..
I have a few textfields that require characters to exactly fit (left and right). The characters are loaded dynamically and always fit whatever number of characters there's room for in the textfield. I'd like to justify the text so that the last letter in a textfield is placed right by the right border. However, it doesn't seem to work. My guess is that it's due to the lack of spaces between characters (there are no spaces whatsoever in the strings I'm importing). For this project, I will be using around 12000 textfields, so there's no way I'm going to place every character in a single textfield and position them one by one, as it would take up too much processing.
I have a .swf movie that I would like to center on a page....and also align it to the top of the page so there is no space whatsoever at the top of the page.
I have a WP 3.0.2 site. When I try to embed a swf file I have uploaded, all I get to show up, in either a post or a page, is a white area the size of the height & width paramaters. In order to play the flash video, I need to right click and select "play" from the menu so watch the movie.
I am trying to figure out what I am doing wrong or why there are not play, pause stop, controls showing up and why the video preview image does not show up either
I am pulling my hair out over this one.surprised
NOTE; The WP SWFObject Plug-ins do not help with this. I have tried many of them to no avail.
My new website is carolineofbrunswick (dot) co (dot) uk. As you can see, there's a ton of blank space off to the right of the pages, and I can't figure out how to get rid of it.
It's caused by the Flash objects in the right-hand column. Changing the width attributes on those Flash objects just causes them to not appear at all, though the blank space still exists.
<div>Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet</div> <object type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
[Code]....
Viewing it in either Gecko, Webkit or Presto, an unintentional vertical space occurs after the object, before the second div [URL]. Removing whitespace from between tags, or explicitly setting margin and padding does not help.
I have a flash movie, height = 151px width = 228, this is placed within a table cell ( cellpadding = 0 cellspacing = 0 vertical-align = top), but when it displays within the explorer windows thereis a white space about 20px above the flash movie. I want the flash movie to appear directly under the grey lines.[code]...
I need to create a 'rolling' percentage text field, the only problem is as the size of the characters changes, the text jolts a little from right to left and back.How can this be overcome for a smoother effect?
