Nov 2, 2009I have a flash dropdown menu with submenus below. Currently the menu has 5 main buttons and when you mouse over each button they have horizontal submenus below.I would like the first button "HOME" to display it's submenu options when you enter the site - basically to be visible without having to mouse-over. The problem is that people don't see that there are submenus straight away.all the main buttons are within a movieclip called "nav" with the following actionscript:

and has the nav2 movieclip inside with the dropdown buttons each on a frame.How can I set the first dropdown to be visible instead of using the onclipevent?
Flash :: Full Screen Site Not Working On PC IE / Firefox Only (mac Works Fine)
Aug 6, 2009My full screen flash site works oerfectly on Mac's (I have a mac). But on PC IE and Firefox the full screen flash site is cut off 1/4 of the way down the page (see screen shots in zip or test if you are on PC). live site [URL] The site uses a swf object (files included in the zip). I got this from a template on flashDen. my problem is that I only have my mac and can't test on PC IE / firefox. Not that I would know where to start. I think that the problem might be the swf object from [URL] but not sure? I need to sure my site to apply for jobs. But recruiters use PC and it is very embarrassing that they can only see 1/4 of the screen.

Sep 3, 2009I am at a loss as to why Firefox doesn't load right when it's loading from cache.
In my site, there are images that get loaded from an XML file immediately as a visitor enters the site. This loading starts and completes naturally when loading from a server... OR when I have the images loaded into cache and I navigate to the site with the browser's forward or back button. -It doesn't work when I press the browser's reload button. What gives? Is this a Firefox bug? I have Firefox 3.5.2 for Mac.

Jul 21, 2009works perfect on my macbook pro (safari, firefox, and opera) but when I view the site on Vmare Fusion Windows XP and use IE and FireFox the pages don't load... I don't know what to make of this. Has anyone hear or seen anything like this happen before? BTW the website was created in Adobe Flash CS4/ AS 3.0 and published using Flash Player 10.

Feb 25, 2012i have made a site in flash. stage size 955x600 i have exported it as fullscreen with no scale. the problem is that if i browse the site with a resolution of 800x600 (760x420 if i'm not wrong), the browser dont' add scrolls and its impossible to see the complete site. My main character is visible in the beginning of the game (where the main menu is) and because I coded it so that all of the enemies don't spawn unless the main character is visible, the enemies spawn too. As a result, if you stay at the main menu for long enough, the score continues to go up, the health goes down when enemies attack, etc.

Nov 4, 2009the flash4 published set of files, with a variety of skins tried, works well on the local drive, even when moved to a different folder structure. when index.html is opened on the remote web site, the browser (firefox3 and ie7) displays the player conrols and a rotating horizontal barber pole, green and black, but no flash video.some of the skins i've used are: SkinOverPlaySeekFullscreen.swf, nOverPlayStopSeekCaptionVol.swf and SkinUnderPlay.swf. all work locally but do not play the .flv file on the web site. no problem playing flv movies on the remote web site if the file set is created by dreamweaver.

The page is loaded with Flash player 9 in Firefox 3.5.5 for Windows XP. note that we can't afford to have the wmode value other than 'window.'Actually the phenomenon occurs only with the 'window' wmode.You can change the 'movie' value to whatever you want.
When the page is first loaded in Firefox, it looks normal (or not).But when you move the mouse over the video clips or play them,they start stepping on each other's toes:
The images are overlapped,and the intersection of the screen keeps flickering.
We played with this and that attributes or parameters,put the clips in <iframe>s,but none of them succeeded.
PS: I'm not sure whether it is Firefox or Flash that's causing this.If this is not the right place for a question like this, I offer my apology.

This works fine in IE and Chrome, but not in Firefox.When i used fiddler to check for the problem, it started working fine.And now i have come to the conclusion that when fillder is running in the background and i access the flash component it works fine (reads all the xml data and shows it up), but when i close fiddler and do the same....i get the following error, "Error reading {myfilename} file."
